Wearable devices usually work together with smart *** ensure only legitimate smart phones can read the data,they must conduct pairing to establish a shared *** pairing methods require that the pairing devices have a keyboard or screen for user ***,due to the size limitation,keyboards or screens are hard to be installed in the wearable *** solve this problem,we propose a novel pairing method by using ambient sound and *** this new scheme,any pairing request from smart phone will trigger wearable device *** after users press the confirm key on the device can the pairing process *** pairing devices collect ambient sound and light at the predetermined time and establish a shared key by using the Diffie-Hellman *** protect against potential man-in-the-middle attacks in the key establishment process,an improved interlock protocol with sound and light comparison is conducted to authenticate the *** both the sound and light collected by the pairing devices are similar enough,the key is ***,it is *** with current context based pairing methods,our scheme does not impose strict synchronization on devices to collect ambient context ***,our scheme need not collect and exchange contextual information for multiple times to resist offline brute force *** experimental results and security analysis prove the effectiveness of our scheme.

Smart contracts are the building blocks of blockchain systems that enable automated peer-to-peer transactions and decentralized *** contracts certainly provide a powerful functional surplus for maintaining the consistency of transactions in applications governed by blockchain *** contracts have become lucrative and profitable targets for attackers because they can hold a large amount of *** verification and symbolic analysis have been employed to combat these destructive scams by analysing the codes and function calls,yet each scam's vulnerability should be discreetly *** this work,we introduce ADEFGuard,a new anomaly detection framework based on the behaviour of smart contracts,as a new *** design a learning and monitoring module to determine fraudulent smart contract *** framework is advantageous over basic algorithms in three ***,ADEFGuard provides a unified solution to different genres of scams,relieving the need for code analysis ***,ADEFGuard's inference is orders of magnitude faster than code ***,the experimental results show that ADEFGuard achieves high accuracy(85%),precision(75%),and recall(90%)for malicious contracts and is potentially useful in detecting new malicious behaviours of smart contracts.

The increasing trend toward dematerialization and digitalization has prompted a surge in the adoption of IT service providers, offering cost-effective alternatives to traditional local services. Consequently, cloud services have become prevalent across various industries. While these services offer undeniable benefits, they face significant threats, particularly concerning the sensitivity of the data they handle. Many existing mathematical models struggle to accurately depict the complex scenarios of cloud systems. In response to this challenge, this paper proposes a behavioral model for ransomware propagation within such environments. In this model, each component of the environment is defined as an agent responsible for monitoring the propagation of malware. Given the distinct characteristics and criticality of these agents, the impact of malware can vary significantly. Scenario attacks are constructed based on real-world vulnerabilities documented in the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) through the National Vulnerability Database. Defender actions are guided by an Intrusion Detection System (IDS) guideline. This research aims to provide a comprehensive framework for understanding and addressing ransomware threats in cloud systems. By leveraging an agent- based approach and real-world vulnerability data, our model offers valuable insights into detection and mitigation strategies for safeguarding sensitive cloud-based assets.

Quantum chemistry methods were performed in order to characterize the chemical reactivity on series of imidazo[1,2-a]pyridinyl-chalcone (IPC). In particular, the B3LYP/6-311G(d) theory level has been used to determine parameters which characterize the global and local reactivity on five molecules of the series. These compounds differ from one to another with the aryl groups. There are: 1-(2-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-yl)-3-phenylprop-2-en-1-one, 3-(4-fluorophenyl)-1-(2-methylimidazo [1,2-a]pyridin-3-yl)prop-2-en-1-one, 3-[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]-1-(2-methylimidazo [1,2-a]pyridin- 3-yl)prop-2-en-1-one, 3-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-(2-methylimidazo [1,2-a]pyridin-3-yl)prop-2-en-1-one, 3-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-(2-methylimidazo [1,2-a]pyridin-3-yl)prop-2-en-1-one. All results lead to finding out that local nucleophilicity and electrophilicity of compounds are not substituent-dependant contrarily to their global nucleophilicity which prove to be more sensitive to the electron-donating character of the substituents. 3-[4-(Dimethylamino) phenyl]-1-(2-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridin-3-yl)prop-2-en-1-one was identified as the unique nucleophile compound by global reactivity. Respectively, the carbon atoms C5 and C14 are the prediction sites of electrophilic and nucleophilic attacks in the molecular skeleton of both molecules. Identification of interactions centres on IPC series is of great importance for organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry where the molecular hybridization strategy is very often used to improve biological activities of interesting therapeutic systems.

Public Effective Dose Assessment Using Gross Alpha and Beta Radioactivity Levels of Tap Drinking Water in the District of Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire

In order to assess public effective dose due to gross alpha and beta in water, 43 tap water samples were collected from different areas in the District of Abidjan. Using the low background Gas-less Automatic Alpha/Beta counting system (Canberra iMaticTM) for analysis, the gross alpha and beta concentrations found varied from 0.001 ± 0.002 to 0.063 ± 0.050 Bq/l with an average of 0.013 ± 0.012 Bq/l and from 0.067 ± 0.080 to 0.320 ± 0.120 Bq/l with an average of 0.174 ± 0.076 Bq/l, respectively in samples. The public effective dose assessment showed values of dose to ingestion of alpha and beta emitter radionuclides lower than the recommended value of dose for drinking water 0.1 mSv/y, except in 30% of the samples. These results show the need for additional studies to be conducted in order to clarify the hazardousness of these water samples. However, this study still remains important because it has provided necessary data for future tap water quality monitoring studies in the District of Abidjan.

Introduction: Goitre is an increase in the volume of the thyroid gland. Goiters may be congenital or acquired, diffuse or nodular, functional or non-functional, benign or malignant. Purpose: The objectives of this work were to study and determine the frequency of benign goitre in the general surgery department of CHU Gabriel Touré, and to study epidemiological, clinical and therapeutic aspects. Patients and Method: This was a retrospective and prospective study conducted in the general surgery department of CHU Gabriel Touré, from January 1999 to December 2019. Included in the study were all patients with benign goiter confirmed in histology, hospitalized and treated in the service. Patients with thyroid malignant tumours, strumite, thyroid tract cyst, cervical abscess and neck trauma were not retained. Socio-demographic, clinical, para-clinical, therapeutic and post-operative aspects were the study parameters. Word processing and tables were done with Microsoft Word and Excel 2016 software. Data analysis was performed with Epi info7 software, the statistical test used was the Khi2 test and a value of P 0.05 was considered statistically significant. Introduction: Stomach cancer is a malignant tumor developed at the expense of the gastric wall. Gastric cancer is a common cancer occupying the 5th rank of cancers in the world, or 5.7% of all cancers. Purpose: To study epidemiological, diagnostic, therapeutic, and prognostic aspects of stomach cancer. Methodology: This was a retrospective and prospective study, which was carried out in the General Surgery Department at the teaching hospital Gabriel Touré between January 1, 1999, and December 31, 2020, and all cases of stomach cancer were confirmed by histological examination. Result: We recorded 857 cases of stomach cancer or 40.1% of digestive cancers. The sex ratio was 1.6. The average age was 55 years ± 13 years. The main clinical signs were epigastralgia (98.6%), vomiting (93.34%), weight loss (96.03%), and anorexia (46.1%). It was adenocarcinoma (97.55%), and antropyloric location (78.64%). Patients were Stage IV (72.817%) cases. Among the 857 patients, 722 were operated on, accounting for 84.25% of the cases. Surgery was palliative in 60.66% and curative in 25.62%. Gastrectomy of 4/5 plus D2 type curage was the most performed in curative surgery. The median overall postoperative survival was 5 months. Conclusion: Stomach cancer is the most common digestive cancer in our department, the diagnosis is most often late, so palliative surgery occupies an important place.

Influence of Anthropogenic Activities on Surface Water Resources—Case of the Sub-Prefecture of Kamsar-Boké

Living fishery resources, although rich and important for human populations, are subject to strong anthropization, thus causing a change in the environmental parameters of aquatic ecosystems. These multiple combined pressures: chemical, hydro-morphological, thermal or trophic, affect and disrupt the functioning of aquatic organisms. The objective of this study was to assess the main human pressures influencing the surface water resources of the Kamsar sub-prefecture, in order to propose mitigation measures. The following methodological approach was adopted: 1) Survey of managers and analysis records;2) Survey of stakeholders;3) Assessment of the effect of human activities on surface water resources;4) Data processing;5) Corrective measures. The survey farmers working near aquatic environments, revealed a low use of chemical substances, in particular 3 to 11 kg of fertilizer and 0 to 3 boxes of herbicide on fields of 40 m2 to 2 ha. Some physico-chemical parameters have been determined: Temperature (28.5˚C, 23.7˚C, 22.8˚C, 21.3˚C, 21.6˚C), Salinity (26.9‰, 21.9‰, 21.5‰, 15‰, 15.3‰) and Turbidity (21.3 UTN, 19.3 UTN, 17.8 UTN, 16.7 UTN, 17 UTN). These values show a fluctuation in the environmental parameters of aquatic ecosystems, which constitutes an obstacle to the development and survival of the resources.

Drinking good quality water is essential for better health. It is therefore essential to assess the radiological quality of all water consumed in the District of Abidjan in order to prevent related hazards. Thus, the objective of this study was to assess the risk of cancer due to the ingestion of alpha and beta emitting radionuclides in the different types of water consumed in the region. A total of 63 water samples with 43 tap water samples, 5 bottled mineral water and 15 sachet water samples was collected and taken to GAEC laboratory for analysis. The low background Gas-less Automatic Alpha/Beta counting system (Canberra iMaticTM) was used to determine alpha and beta activity concentrations. Activity concentrations of both gross alpha and gross beta obtained in water sample were respectively lower than the WHO recommended limits of 0.1 Bq/l and 1 Bq/l. Also, the annual effective dose and total equivalent effective dose found in mineral bottled water samples were higher than in other types of water. The assessment of radiological lifetime risk has shown values of cancer risk due to ingestion alpha and beta emitters lower than recommended limit. These results indicate that there is no health hazard associated to consumption of water in the District of Abidjan.
