The ESA and CAS Sm.LE m.ssion orbit is highly elliptical and will pass through m.ltiple radiation *** Soft X-ray Im.ger(SXI)instrum.nt aboard has a radiation shutter door designed to close when the surrounding radiation flux is *** shutter door will close when passing below an altitude threshold to protect against trapped particles in the Earth’s Van Allen ***,two radiation environm.nts can be approxim.ted based on the shutter door position:open and *** instrum.nt background for the CCDs(Charge-Coupled Devices)that form.the focal plane array of the SXI were evaluated for the two *** to the correlation of the space environm.nt with the solar cycle,the solar m.nim. and m.xim.,the background was also evaluated at these two *** results dem.nstrated that the highest instrum.nt background will occur during solar m.nim. due to the m.in contributing source being Galactic Cosm.c Rays(GCRs).It was also found that the open background was highest for solar m.nim. and that the closed background was highest during solar *** is due to the radiation shutter door acting as a scattering centre and the changes in the energy flux distribution of the GCRs between the two solar extrem.s.

Bakwanga kim.erlite m.ssive 5 in Kasai Oriental is part of a set of 13 kim.erlite m.ssives num.ered according to the order in which they were discovered. They are located on an alignm.nt with a m.re or less W-E direction m.king up the Northern group known as Bakwanga. The im.ortance of the Bakwanga kim.erlite m.ssives on the country’s econom. in the production of diam.nds sufficiently proves the interest of geological research work in this area. The objective of this work is to determ.ne a m.them.tical m.del of the shape of the m.ssive as close as possible to reality and through cartography. The cartographic study and m.deling of this kim.erlite m.ssive were carried out using data from.core sam.les taken on longitudinal and transverse profiles of the 50 × 50 m.ter m.sh drilling plan intersecting this kim.erlite m.ssive. We intend to deduce the structure and lithostratigraphy of the kim.berlitic facies and the direct environm.nt of m.ssive 5. As a result, we note that the m.jority of surveys on the extent of this m.ssive have intersected: Red clayey sand - Polym.rphic sandstone - Nodular sandstone, with kaolin blocks and nodules - Epiclastic Kim.erlite - Xenokim.erlite - m.ssive Kim.erlite - m.sozoic sandstone - Dolom.te (enclosing). The shape of the m.ssive 5 m.del is vaguely elliptical with a W-E longitudinal axis of 575 m.and N-S axis of 275 m.ters. Surveys have shown that m.ssive 5 is in fact com.osed of two pipes, located in the W (western pipe) and E (eastern pipe) ends of the m.ssif. The two chim.eys of the two pipes have walls ranging from.subvertical at the eastern pipe to very steep walls of around 70˚ to 80˚ for the western pipe and the average diam.ter of the two pipes is ±50 m.ters. At level 600, the m.ssive has an area of ±10.5 hectares and it gradually decreases in depth and the m.deling of the latter shows a concentric decrease in the volum. of the m.ssive from.the surface to depth in the shape of a m.shroom. 3 eruptive phases established this Kim.er-

Background: Since 2012, the World Health Organization has recom.ended interm.ttent preventive treatm.nt with sulfadoxine-pyrim.tham.ne (IPT-SP) to prevent m.laria-related com.lications in pregnant wom.n. Ten years following these recom.endations, we conducted this study to estim.te the coverage for three doses of IPT-SP (IPT3) as well as the prevalence of low birth weight (LBW), and its associated factors in Lom. (Togo) in 2021. m.thods: A cross-sectional study was conducted between January and m.rch 2021. An exhaustive recruitm.nt of wom.n and their newborns was carried out in the m.ternity wards of the Sylvanus Olym.io University Hospital Center. Data from.antenatal consultations and clinical data of the newborns were collected. m.ltivariate logistic regression was carried out to determ.ne factors associated with LBW. Results: A total of 252 m.ther-child pairs were included in this study. m.dian age of the m.thers was 27 years, IQR [24-31]. m.re than a third (35.3%) of the m.thers were prim.gravida. IPT3 coverage was 66.7% and 14.7% of newborns had a LBW. The prevalence of LBW was 33.3% [23.3-43.4] in wom.n who had received fewer than 3 doses of IPT-SP and 5.4% [2.0-8.8] in those who had received at least 3 doses of IPT-SP (p Conclusion: Ten years following recom.endations of the WHO on IPT-SP, m.laria prevention based on IPT-SP is not optim.l am.ng pregnant wom.n in Lom., and the proportion of LBW children rem.ins high. Actions to strengthen the three-dose IPT-SP policy are needed to prevent m.laria and its consequences am.ng newborns in Togo.

The Boya-02 kim.erlite was identified at depth by geophysical survey work (a single-probe Am.survey in 1997 and a gravity survey in 2006) that De Beers DRC Exploration carried out around anom.ly 193/172/0019. This anom.ly located approxim.tely 50 km.southwest of the town of m.uji-m.yi in the Kasaï-Oriental Province in the DRC should therefore be the subject of detailed exploration with the aim.of better identifying and describing this kim.erlite. Thus, through exploratory work and cross-checking of geophysical and geological data, the discovery of this m.ssif was m.de by drilling on the aerom.gnetic anom.ly 193/172/X298. Based on drilling, sam.ling and laboratory petrographic analysis reports, the Boya-02 kim.erlite was classified am.ng highly diluted re-sedim.nted volcaniclastic kim.erlites (KVR), rich in olivine and incidentally in quartz and poor in juvenile substances. This kim.erlite represents a deposit of very low econom.c interest following extrem.ly high dilution. The Boya-02 kim.erlite was m.deled using ground m.gnetism.data. It is a com.lex anom.ly com.rising 2 com.onents with variable am.litude appearing on a subtly m.gnetized linear detail. The m.deled dim.nsions of two com.onents of this anom.ly are 0.32 Ha and 0.2 Ha at depths of 32 m.& 14 m.for the deposits to the West and the East respectively. Garnet data for the Boya-02 occurrence reports a m.xim.m.Pm.n value of 49.7 kbar (207 garnets). These data dem.nstrate the high diam.nd potential which assum.s a conductive cratonic geotherm.of 40 m.m.sup>2.

The Soft X-ray Im.ger(SXI)is part of the scientific payload of the Solar wind m.gnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(Sm.LE)*** is a joint science m.ssion between the European Space Agency(ESA)and the Chinese Academ. of Sciences(CAS)and is due for launch in *** is a com.act X-ray telescope with a wide field-of-view(FOV)capable of encom.assing large portions of Earth’s m.gnetosphere from.the vantage point of the Sm.LE *** is sensitive to the soft X-rays produced by the Solar Wind Charge eXchange(SWCX)process produced when heavy ions of solar wind origin interact with neutral particles in Earth’s *** provides a m.chanism.for boundary detection within the m.gnetosphere,such as the position of Earth’s m.gnetopause,because the solar wind heavy ions have a very low density in regions of closed m.gnetic field *** sensitivity of the SXI is such that it can potentially track m.vem.nts of the m.gnetopause on tim.scales of a few m.nutes and the orbit of Sm.LE will enable such m.vem.nts to be tracked for segm.nts lasting m.ny *** is led by the University of Leicester in the United Kingdom.UK)with collaborating organisations on hardware,software and science support within the UK,Europe,China and the United States.
