PHProteomicDB is a PHP-written module to help researchers in proteomics to share two-dimenslonal gel electrophoresis data using personal web sites. No technical or PHP knowledge is necessary except a few basics about web site management. PHProteomicDB has a user-friendly administration interface to enter and update data. It creates web pages on the fly displaying gel characteristics, gel pictures, and numbered gel spots with their related identifications pointing to their reference pages in protein databanks. The module is freely available at http：//***/***3？rub=Download.

Updating an authoritative Land Use and Land Cover(LULC)database requires many *** geographic information(VGI)involves citizens in the collection of data about their spatial *** is a growing interest in using existing VGI to update authoritative *** paper presents a framework aimed at integrating multi-source VGI based on a data fusion technique,in order to update an authoritative land use *** VGI data source is considered to be an independent source of information,which is fused together using Dempster-Shafer Theory(DST).The framework is tested in the updating of the authoritative land use data produced by the French National Mapping *** data sets were collected from several in-situ and remote campaigns run between 2018 and 2020 by contributors with varying *** data fusion approach achieved an overall accuracy of 85.6%for the 144 features having at least two contributions when the confidence threshold was set to *** the heterogeneity and limited amount of VGI used,the results are promising,with 99%of the LU polygons updated or *** results show the potential of using multi-source VGI to update or enrich authoritative LU data and potentially LULC data more generally。

Hippopotamus bites are rare in medical consultations, despite several studies exposing their aggressive character. A case of a hippopotamus bite on the shoulder of a fisherman has been reported. In addition to the osteoarticular aspect representing a therapeutic problem, the infectious aspect was marked by sepsis, with a death in less than 48 hours. Based on this observation, a protocol for the initial management of large animal bites was submitted.

Electronic structure and transport properties of highly defective two-dimensional （2D） sp2 graphene are investigated theoretically. Classical molecular dynamics are used to generate large graphene planes containing a considerable amount of defects. Then, a tight-binding Hamiltonian validated by ab initio calculations is constructed in order to compute quantum transport within a real-space order-N Kubo-Greenwood approach. In contrast to pristine graphene, the highly defective sp2 carbon sheets exhibit a high density of states at the charge neutrality point raising challenging questions concerning the electronic transport of associated charge carriers. The analysis of the electronic wavepacket dynamics actually reveals extremely strong multiple scattering effects giving rise to mean free paths as low as 1 nm and localization phenomena. Consequently, highly defective graphene is envisioned as a remarkable prototype of 2D Anderson insulating materials.

Backscattered electron BSE-CL images,U-Th abundance,and U-Pb ages were obtained for zircons from the Nkogho granitic basement rocks cropping out in the Mamfe Basin(SW Cameroon).These data are used to characterize and classify each zircon,elucidate their geochemical *** were also used to formulate a model of their host composition to ascertain the source,and document any preserved postemplacement *** zircons mainly form long to short prisms that are pyramidal to dipyramidal in *** typically exhibit complex oscillatory growth zoning,as well as exhibit sector *** features are mainly compatible with igneous zircons,although a few examples have metamorphic *** U(30 ppm–6380 ppm),Th(4 ppm–1280 ppm),and Pb(12 ppm–648 ppm)contents show core to rim variations with most values fall within the range of crustal granitic *** Th/U ratios(0.08–1.23),with core to rim differences mainly encompass values typical of magmatic zircons with a few values characterizing metamorphic zircons that grew in equilibrium with an anatectic *** U-Pb ages(108.4±1.7 to 988.4±19.0 Ma)with some core and rim age differences date Early Neoproterozoic,Cryogenian–Ediacarian,Early Cambrian–Ordovician,Devonian–Carboniferous,and Aptian–Albian *** arc-like Nkogho I-type granitoid crystallized from granitic magma during Cryogenian to Ediacarian times and was later affected by post-Ediacarian Cambrian to Albian magmatic ***–Albian ages probably reflect opening of the Mamfe Basin.

The Bétaré-Oya Gold District is one of the three gold districts in East Cameroon with varied types of mining. The study site is an open-cast mine located in an alluvial plain. The strata succession globally consists of two positive sequences represented by three facies associations and seven lithofacies: massive clast-supported(Gcm), massive trough-cross bedded(Gtm), and massive matrix-supported(Gmm)conglomerates; massive sands(Sm); and massive(Fm), heterolothic(Fhl), and convolute and heterolithic(Fhlc) clays. The facies analysis indicates deposition after a recent tectonic event creating a depression,followed by a rapid deposition of varied facies and energies of sedimentation with fluvial and gravity inputs. The deposits come from proximal to distal sources but more proximal. The identified heavy mineral or accompanying minerals reveal a plutonic source(tourmaline sometimes folded), a volcanic source(olivine or clino-pyroxene with cracks), and a metamorphic source(sillimanite, andalusite, and staurolite). In the pan concentrates of placer with high silver(Ag) concentration(100 ppm) are also associated with relative abundance of lead(Pb)(17.8 ppm), zinc(Zn)(27 ppm), and low levels of copper(Cu)(3.1 ppm). The concentration and distribution of some element ratios, such as thorium/scandium(Th/Sc), chromium/thorium(Cr/Th), and europium anomaly(Eu/Eu*), rare earth elements(REEs) and aluminum oxide/titanium dioxide(Al2O3/TiO2) vs. silicon dioxide(SiO2) plots for the studied sediment indicate heterogeneous sources of rocks with dominance of felsic sources. The discriminant diagram reveals a recycled or sedimentary provenance of the deposited sediments. The tectonic setting plot indicates a collision tectonic setting which is consistent with the Precambrian history of the study area which belongs to the Pan-African North-Equatorial fold Belt. Esca disease,which attacks the wood of grapevine,has become increasingly devastating during the past three decades and represents today a major concern in all wine-producing *** disease is attributed to a group of systematically diverse fungi that are considered to be latent pathogens,however,this has not been conclusively *** study presents the first in-depth comparison between the mycota of healthy and diseased plants taken from the same vineyard to determine which fungi become invasive when foliar symptoms of esca *** unprecedented high fungal diversity,158 species,is here reported exclusively from grapevine wood in a single Swiss vineyard *** identical mycota inhabits wood of healthy and diseased adult plants and presumed esca pathogens were widespread and occurred in similar frequencies in both plant *** esca-associated fungi are not transmitted from adult to nursery plants through the grafting *** the presumed esca-associated fungal pathogens are most likely saprobes decaying already senescent or dead wood resulting from intensive pruning,frost or other mecanical injuries as *** cause of esca disease therefore remains elusive and requires well executive scientific *** results question the assumed pathogenicity of fungi in other diseases of plants or animals where identical mycota are retrieved from both diseased and healthy individuals.

The capacity of six water stress factors(ε′(i))to track daily light use efficiency(ε)of water-limited ecosystems was *** factors are computed with remote sensing operational products and a limited amount of ground data:ε′1 uses ground precipitation and air temperature,and satellite incoming global solar radiation;ε′(2) uses ground air temperature,and satellite actual evapotranspiration and incoming global solar radiation;ε′_(3) uses satellite actual and potential evapotranspiration;ε′_(4) uses satellite soil moisture;ε′_(5) uses satellite-derived photochemical reflectance index;and ε′_(6) uses ground vapor pressure *** factors were implemented in a production efficiency model based on Monteith’s approach in order to assess their performance for modeling gross primary production(GPP).Estimated GPP was compared to reference GPP from eddy covariance(EC)measurements(GPP EC)in three sites placed in the Iberian Peninsula(two open shrublands and one savanna).ε′_(i) were correlated to ε,which was calculated by dividing GPP EC by ground measured photosynthetically active radiation(PAR)and satellite-derived fraction of absorbed *** results were achieved by ε′(1),ε′(2),ε′(3) and ε′(4) explaining around 40% and 50% of ε variance in open shurblands and savanna,*** terms of GPP,R^(2)≈0.70 were obtained in these cases.
