High-speed, high-accuracy data converters are attractive for use in most RF applications. Such converters allow direct conversion to occur between the digital baseband and the antenna. However, high speed and high accuracy make the analog components in a converter more complex, and this complexity causes more power to be dissipated than if a traditional approach were taken. A static calibration technique for flash analog-to-digital converters （ADCs） is discussed in this paper. The calibration is based onhistogram test methods, and equivalent errors in the flash ADC comparators are estimated in the digital domain without any significant changes being made to the ADC comparators. In the trimming process, reference voltages are adjusted to compensate for static errors. Behavioral-level simulations of a moderate-resolution 8-bit flash ADC show that, for typical errors, ADC performance is considerably improved by the proposed technique. As a result of calibration, the differential *** （DNLs） are reduced on average from 4 LSB to 0.5 LSB, and the integral nonlinearities （INLs） are reduced on average from 4.2 LSB to 0.35 LSB. Implementation issues for this proposed technique are discussed in our subsequent paper, “A Histogram-Based Static-Error Correction Technique for Flash ADCs： Implementation Aspects. ”

Nuclear mass is a fundamental property of nuclear physics and a necessary input in nuclear *** to the complexity of atomic nuclei and nonperturbative strong interactions,conventional physical models cannot completely describe nuclear binding *** this study,the mass formula was improved by considering an additional term from the Fermi gas *** nuclear masses in the Atomic Mass Evaluation Database were reproduced with a root-mean-square deviation(RMSD)of -1.86 MeV(1.92 MeV).The new mass formula exhibits good performance in the neutron-rich nuclear *** RMSD decreases to 0.393 MeV when the ratio of the neutron number to the proton number is≥1.6.

This study endeavors to develop an improved set of basis functions for nuclear shell-model calculations. The shell model, a well-established approach to understanding nuclear structure,typically employs the harmonic oscillator potential within the mean-field approximation. Given the extensive validation and consistency of harmonic oscillator results with experimental data,we propose a modification by incorporating a centrifugal term that converges toward the Davidson potential. This potential has been extensively studied, and we aim to extract relevant experimental data for the simplest cases in the shell model, namely one-particle and one-hole nuclei. A comprehensive comparison between the Davidson-based results and the harmonic oscillator calculations is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the new basis functions.

Software-Defined Networking(SDN)represents a significant paradigm shift in network architecture,separating network logic from the underlying forwarding devices to enhance flexibility and centralize ***-rently,the Internet of Things(IoT)connects numerous devices to the Internet,enabling autonomous interactions with minimal human ***,implementing and managing an SDN-IoT system is inherently complex,particularly for those with limited resources,as the dynamic and distributed nature of IoT infrastructures creates security and privacy challenges during SDN *** findings of this study underscore the primary security and privacy challenges across application,control,and data planes.A comprehensive review evaluates the root causes of these challenges and the defense techniques employed in prior works to establish sufficient secrecy and privacy *** investigations have explored cutting-edge methods,such as leveraging blockchain for transaction recording to enhance security and privacy,along with applying machine learning and deep learning approaches to identify and mitigate the impacts of Denial of Service(DoS)and Distributed DoS(DDoS)***,the analysis indicates that encryption and hashing techniques are prevalent in the data plane,whereas access control and certificate authorization are prominently considered in the control plane,and authentication is commonly employed within the application ***,this paper outlines future directions,offering insights into potential strategies and technological advancements aimed at fostering a more secure and privacy-conscious SDN-based IoT ecosystem.

Data obtained from the calcareous nannofossils, distributed in the upper part of the Pabdeh Formation(Priabonian–Rupelian) and the lower part of the Asmari Formation(Chattian) in the Bid-Zard section, were used to investigate the Eocene to Oligocene palaeoenvironmental conditions in the southwest of Izeh, southwestern Iran(eastern Tethys). The upper part of the Pabdeh Formation was composed of shale, thin-bedded pelagic limestone and dolostone, which is disconformably overlain by the Asmari Formation. For the first time, 29 species of calcareous nannofossils belonging to 13 genera were identified in the studied section. The calcareous nannofossils in the upper part of the Pabdeh Formation indicate the Isthmolithus recurvus Zone/Sphenolithus pseudoradians Zone(combined zone), Ericsonia subdisticha Zone, Helicosphaera reticulata Zone and Sphenolithus praedistentus Zone,from the Priabonian to the Rupelian. The Sphenolithus ciperoensis Zone of the Chattian was identified in the lower part of the Asmari Formation. Calcareous nannofossil stratigraphy across the upper Eocene–Oligocene interval also reveals a disconformity at the Rupelian/Chattian transition due to a bio-event. Shallowing of the basin and environmental changes in this part of the Tethyan domain could have led to the lithostratigraphic and biostratigraphic changes. In fact, during the late Eocene to late Oligocene, marine phytoplankton was sensitive to climate changes such as decreasing temperature, as well as possibly to a nutrient increase and changes in basin depth.

In this paper,we investigate the stabilization of an Euler-Bernoulli beam with time delays in the boundary *** boundary velocity feedback law is applied to obtain the closed-loop *** is shown that this system generates a C_(0-)semigroup of linear ***,the stability of the closed-loop system is discussed for different values of the controller constants and time delays via using spectral analysis and a suitable Lyapunov function.

This study utilizes large-scale shell model calculations with the extended pairing and multipole–multipole force model(EPQQM)to investigate low-lying states in the nuclei of^(42)Ca,^(42)Sc,and^(42−44)*** model space in this study includes the fp shell as well as the intruder g_(9/2)orbit,which accurately reproduces the positive parity levels observed in the aforementioned nuclei and predicts high energy states with negative parity coupled with the intruder g_(9/2).The study further predicts two different configurations in^(43)Ti at around 6 MeV,specificallyπf_(7/2)^(2)νg_(9/2)andπf_(7/2)g_(9/2)νf_(7/2),both of which involve the intruder orbit g_(9/2).The levels coupled with the intruder g_(9/2)in^(44)Ti are predicted to lie between 7 and 11 *** inclusion of the intruder orbit g_(9/2)is crucial for the exploration of high energy states in the northeast region of the doubly magic nucleus^(40)Ca.

Genistein Improves Liver Damage in Male Mice Exposed to Morphine

Background： Morphine is commonly used to treat severe pain. This substance is significantly metabolized in the liver and causes disturbing effects. Genistein is an isoflavone and has antioxidant properties. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of genistein against morphine damages on mouse liver. Methods： Between May 2017 and March 2018, 48 male mice were divided into six groups （n = 8 in each group）. Various doses of genistein （25 and 50 mg/kg） and morphine plus genistein （25 and 50 mg/kg） were administered intraperitoneally to 48 male mice for 20 consequent days. Aspartate aminotransferase （AST）, alanine aminotransferase （ALT）, alkaline phosphatase （ALP）, serum nitric oxide （NO） levels, liver weight, and the diameter of hepatocytes and central hepatic vein were studied and compared using one-way analysis of variance. Results： Morphine administration significantly increased the mean diameter of the central hepatic vein （22.76 ± 1.9 μm vs. 15.04 ± 0.60μm, x^2= 21.814, P = 0.001） and hepatocytes （3.03 ± 0.10 μm vs. 1.10 ± 0.05 μm, x^2 = 9.873, P = 0.001） respectively, blood serum NO level （38.00% ± 2.09% vs. 18.72% ±4.40%, x^2 = 20.404, P 〈 0.001 ）, liver enzyme level （AST： 111.80 ± 5.10 ng/ml vs. 81.93 ±2.20 ng/ ml, x^2 = 32.201, P 〈 0.0001; ALT： 45.14 ± 4.10 ng/ml vs. 35.49 ± 2.50 ng/ml, x^2= 18.203, P 〈 0.0001; and ALP： 3.28 ± 0.20 ng/ml vs. 2.14± 0.10, x^2= 5.04, P 〈 0.0001, respectively）, and decreased liver weight （18.50 ± 0.90 g vs. 27.15 ± 0.50 g, x^2 = 22.415, P=0.001 ） compared to saline group （0.535±3.750, P 〈 0.0001）. Objective: To assess the effects of Falcaria vulgaris(F. vulgaris) as an antioxidant on damage to kidney of diabetic rats. Methods: Diabetic rats were established via streptozotocin(60 mg/kg). Various doses of F. vulgaris extracts(50, 100 and 150 mg/kg) and streptozotocin + F. vulgaris extracts were administered via intraperitoneal(i.p) injection to 48 rats(n=8 per group) for 28 d. Subsequently, ferric ion reducing antioxidant power(FRAP) of renal tissue, thiobarbituric acid reactive species, blood glucose concentrations, insulin, nitrite oxide, the weight of animals, glomeruli characteristics and kidney function were evaluated. Results: Compared with the control rats, diabetic rats showed significant increase in malondialdehyde, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, blood glucose, nitrite oxide contents in renal tissues, and glomerular diameter. Furthermore, tissue FRAP level, body weight, number of glomeruli and plasma insulin were markedly reduced in diabetic rats when compared with the control group(P < 0.05). However, in all F. vulgaris and F. vulgaris + streptozotocin groups, malondialdehyde level, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, glomerular diameter, nitrite oxide, and glucose levels were decreased significantly; meanwhile, tissue FRAP level, body weight, glomeruli number and insulin serum level were increased, compared to the control diabetic group(P < 0.05). Conclusions: F. vulgaris extract alleviates renal damage in diabetic rats.
