In this study, nanocrystalline Co-Ni-Mg ferrite powders with composition Coo.5Nio.5-xMgxFe2O4 are successfully synthesized by the co-precipitation method. A systematic investigation on the structural, morphological and magnetic properties of un-doped and Mg-doped Co-Ni ferrite nanoparticles is carried out. The prepared samples are characterized using x-ray diffraction （XRD） analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）, field emission scanning electron microscopy （FESEM）, and vibrating sample magnetometry （VSM）. The XRD analyses of the synthesized samples confirm the formation of single-phase cubic spinel structures with crystallite sizes in a range of - 32 nm to - 36 nm. The lat- tice constant increases with increasing Mg content. FESEM images show that the synthesized samples are homogeneous with a uniformly distributed grain. The results of IR spectroscopy analysis indicate the formation of functional groups of spinel ferrite in the co-precipitation process. By increasing Mg2- substitution, room temperature magnetic measurement shows that maximum magnetization and coercivity increase from - 57.35 emu/g to - 61.49 emu/g and - 603.26 Oe to 684.11 Oe （l Oe = 79.5775 A.m-l）, respectively. The higher values of magnetization Ms and Mr suggest that the opti- mum composition is Co0.5Ni0.4Mg0.1Fe204 that can be applied to high-density recording media and microwave devices.

This work investigated multiple jet nozzles with various geometrical shape,number of exits,and material on reducing noise radiated from jet *** are categorized in two groups with few and many exit numbers,each with various exit shapes,slot and circular,and ***,nozzles are designed and then fabricated by a 3D printer,Form Labs,Form2USA,with polymeric ***,the nozzle with the most noise reduction made of stainless *** and air thrust were measured at three air pressure gauges,3,5,7 BAR and directions from nozzle apex,30°,90°,135°.Nozzles with slot exit shape made of both plastic and stainless steel revealed the most noise reduction among all nozzles with few exit numbers,nearly 11–14 dB(A)and 11.5–15 dB(A),*** average,slotted nozzle noise reduction was nearly 5–6 dB(A)more than finned ***,nozzles with more exit numbers,finned and finned-central exit,illustrated much more noise reduction than nozzles with few exit numbers,by almost 16–18 dB(A),they represented similar *** tested nozzles and open pipe demonstrated equal air thrust at each pressure *** nozzles with slotted exit shape,either plastic or stainless steel,can provide reasonable noise reduction in comparison to other configuration with few exit *** contrast,nozzles with more exit numbers demonstrated the most noise reduction.

Nanoporous carbons were synthesized using furfuryl alcohol and sucrose as precursors and MCM-41 and mordenite as nanoporous *** produced nanoporous carbons were used as adsorbent for methane *** average pore diameter of the samples varied from 3.9 nm to 5.9 nm and the BET surface area varied from 320m2/g to 824m2/*** volumetric adsorption experiments revealed that MCM-41 and sucrose had better performance compared with mordenite and furfuryl alcohol,***,the effect of precursor to template ratio on the structure of nanoporous carbons and their adsorption capacities was *** nanoporous carbon produced from MCM-41 mesoporous molecular sieve partially filled by sucrose shows the best methane adsorption capacity among the tested samples.

Objective:To establish an early warning system for cutaneous leishmaniasis in Fars province,Iran in ***:Time-series data were recorded from 29 201 cutaneous leishmaniasis cases in 25 cities of Fars province from 2010 to 2015 and were used to fit and predict the cases using time-series *** models were compared via Akaike information criterion/Bayesian information criterion statistics,residual analysis,autocorrelation function,and partial autocorrelation function sample/*** decide on an outbreak,four endemic scores were evaluated including mean,median,mean+ 2 standard deviations,and median+ interquartile range of the past five *** whose symptoms of cutaneous leishmaniasis began from 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2015 were included,and there were no exclusion ***:Regarding four statistically significant endemic values,four different cutaneous leishmaniasis space-time outbreaks were detected in *** accuracy of all four endemic values was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions:This study presents a protocol to set early warning systems regarding time and space features of cutaneous leishmaniasis in four steps:(i)to define endemic values based on which we could verify if there is an outbreak,(ii)to set different time-series models to forecast cutaneous leishmaniasis in future,(iii)to compare the forecasts with endemic values and decide on space-time outbreaks,and(iv)to set an alarm to health managers.

Reducing Occupational Noise Propagated from Centrifugal Fan through Dissipative Silencers:A Field Study

Acoustic performance of dissipative silencer was evaluated to determine the effectiveness of perforated duct porosity and absorbent material density in reducing occupational noise exposure propagated from centrifugal *** charts were applied to predict noise reduction and length of a dissipative *** silencers with various punched duct porosity(14%,30%and 40%)and sound absorbent density(80 Kg/m^(3),120 Kg/m^(3),and 140 Kg/m^(3))were designed and *** to ISO9612 and ISO11820,noise level was measured before and after installing all nine test silencers at fixed workstations around the discharge side of a centrifugal fan in a manufacturing *** average,the noise level at the discharge side of a fan without silencer was measured to be 93.6 dBA,whereas it was significantly mitigated by 67.4 dBA to 70.1 dBA after installing all *** insertion loss for a dissipative silencer with 100 cm length was predicted to be 27.9 dB,which was in agreement with experimental ***,there was no significant differences between insertion loss of silencers,the one with 30%porosity and 120 Kg/m^(3)rock wool density had the highest insertion loss of 26.2 *** silencers noticeably reduced centrifugal fan noise *** sound absorbent density and duct porosity up to a certain limit could probably be effective in noise reduction of dissipative silencers.

Single-wall carbon nanotubes （SWNTs） with high surface area were synthesized over nanoporous Co-Mo/MgO by a chemical vapor deposition （CVD） method. The SWNTs were used as catalyst support for selective hydrogenation of syngas to hydrocarbons. Here an extensive study of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis （FTS） on CNT-supported cobalt catalysts with different amounts of cobalt loading up to 40 wt% is reported. The catalysts were characterized by different methods including N2 adsorption-desorption, X-ray diffraction, hydrogen chemisorption, inductively coupled plasma （ICP） and temperature-programmed reduction. Enhancement of the reducibility of Co3O4 to CoO, CoO to Co° and small cobalt oxide particles, dispersion of the cobalt, and activity and selectivity of FTS were investigated and compared with a conventional support. The CNT supported catalysts achieve a high dispersion and high loading of the active metal, cobalt in particular, so that the bulk formation of cobalt metal, which tends to occur in conventional support, can be avoided. The results showed that the specific activity of CNT supported catalysts increase significantly （there is a two fold increase in CO Conversion per gram of the active metal） with respect to the conventional supported catalyst.

Objective: To assess the spatiotemporal trait of cutaneous leishmaniasis(CL) in Fars province, ***: Spatiotemporal cluster analysis was conducted retrospectively to find spatiotemporal clusters of CL cases. Time-series data were recorded from 29 201 cases in Fars province, Iran from 2010 to 2015, which were used to verify if the cases were distributed randomly over time and place. Then, subgroup analysis was applied to find significant sub-clusters within large clusters. Spatiotemporal permutation scans statistics in addition to subgroup analysis were implemented using Sa TScan ***: This study resulted in statistically significant spatiotemporal clusters of CL(P < 0.05). The most likely cluster contained 350 cases from 1 July 2010 to 30 November2010. Besides, 5 secondary clusters were detected in different periods of time. Finally,statistically significant sub-clusters were found within the three large clusters(P < 0.05).Conclusions: Transmission of CL followed spatiotemporal pattern in Fars province,Iran. This can have an important effect on future studies on prediction and prevention of CL.

The electrochemical behavior of a bis (N-2-methylphenyl-salicyldenaminato)copper (II) complex spiked in a carbon paste electrode (BMPSCu-CPE) and its electrocatalytic reduc-tion of H2 O2 were examined using cyclic voltammetry, chronoamperometry, and differen-tial pulse voltammetry. Cyclic voltammetry was used to study the redox properties of BMPSCu-CPE at various potential scan rates. The apparent charge transfer rate constant and the transfer coefficient for the electron transfer between BMPSCu and the carbon paste electrode (CPE) were 1.9 ± 0.1 s–1 and 0.43, respectively. BMPSCu-CPE had excel-lent electrocatalytic activity for H2 O2 reduction in 0.1 mol/L phosphate buffer solution (pH 5.0), and it decreased the overpotential by 300 mV as compared to CPE alone. The diffusion coefficient and kinetic parameters such as the heterogeneous catalytic electron transfer rate constant and electron transfer coefficient for the reduction of H2 O2 at the BMPSCu-CPE surface were also determined using electrochemical methods. Differential pulse voltammetry showed two linear dynamic ranges of 1.0–10.0 and 10.0–300.0 μmol/L and a detection limit of 0.63 μmol/L H2 O2. The BMPSCu-CPE has excellent repro-ducibility and long term stability, and it was successfully applied for the determination of H2 O2 in two pharmaceutical samples: an antiseptic solution and a hair dying cream.

Determining endemic values of cutaneous leishmaniasis in Iranian Fars province by retrospectively detected clusters and receiver operating characteristic curve analysis

Objective: To determine the endemic values of cutaneous leishmaniasis in different cities of Fars province, Iran. Methods: Totally, 29 201 cases registered from 2010 to 2015 in Iranian Fars province were selected, and the endemic values of cutaneous leishmaniasis were determined by retrospective clusters derived from spatiotemporal permutation modeling on a time-series design. The accuracy of the values was assessed using receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve. SPSS version 22, Arc GIS, and ITSM 2002 software tools were used for analysis. Results: Nine statistically significant retrospective clusters(P<0.05) resulted in finding seven significant and accurate endemic values(P<0.1). These valid endemic scores were generalized to the other 18 cities based on 6 different climates in the province. Conclusions: Retrospectively detected clusters with the help of ROC curve analysis could help determine cutaneous leishmaniasis endemic values which are essential for future prediction and prevention policies in the area.
