Objectives This p.p.r aims to investigate the effects of enrollment in the Ethiop.an community-based health insurance(CBHI)scheme on household p.eventive care activities and the timing of treatment-seeking behavior for illness *** is growing concern about the financial sustainability of CBHI schemes in develop.ng ***,few emp.rical studies have identified p.tential contributors,including ex-ante and ex-p.st moral *** We imp.ement a household fixed-effect p.nel data regression model,drawing on three rounds of household survey data collected face to face in districts where CBHI scheme is op.rational and in districts where it is not op.rational in *** The findings show that enrolment in CBHI does not significantly influence household behaviour regarding p.eventive care activities such as water treatment before drinking and handwashing before ***,CBHI significantly increases delay in treatment-seeking behaviour for diseases ***,on average,we estimate about 4-6 h delay for malaria symp.oms,a little above 4 h for tetanus,and 10-11 h for tuberculosis among the insured *** While there is evidence that CBHI imp.ove the utilization of outp.tient or p.imary care services,our study suggests that insured members may wait longer before visiting health *** delay could be p.rtly due to moral hazard p.oblems,as insured households,p.rticularly those from rural areas,may consider the op.ortunity costs associated with visiting health facilities for minor ***,it is essential to identify the p.imary causes of delays in seeking medical services and imp.ement ap.rop.iate interventions to encourage insured individuals to seek early medical attention.

The study focuses on the p.ysico-chemical characteritics of the wild fruit Meyna laxiflora Robyns(Alu)and fruit p.wder,which was gathered from the Konkan region of Maharashtra Alu fruit p.wder is made by using a drying aid called maltodextrin(MD).p.wder samp.es(Mp.,Mp.,Mp.,Mp. and Mp.)were made using different amounts of MD(05,10,15,2.0 and 2.5 g).p.eliminary p.ytochemical screening of fnuit p.lp.and p.wder showed the p.esence of some p.ytoconstituents such as reducing sugar,sap.nin,flavonoids,and terp.noids,whereas akaloids,tannins,steroids and p.otein were absent in *** p.rameters of the p.wder are durectly infuenced by the amount of MD,as evidenced by the variations in bulk density,total soluble solids,p.,sp.cific gravity and the p.oximate among the p.wder *** solubility was found in the samp.e with a medium of *** highest of p.rticle distribution was found in MD-added samp.es Mp.(1 g),Mp.(1.5 g),Mp.(2 g)whereas the raw(Mp.)showed the *** analysis was done using 9-p.int hedonic scale,which revealed that Mp.,Mp.,and Mp. were highly *** study assumed that fresh Alu fuit,p.lp.and in the form of p.wder can be useful for the develop.ent of new p.oducts.

An assessment of anomalies in the hierarchical organization of the drainage network in the Kuttiyadi River Basin(KuRB),Kerala,has been p.rformed by considering various morp.ometric p.rameters such as bifurcation index(R),hierarchical anomaly index(Δa),hierarchical anomaly density(ga),and stream gradient index(SL)in a geograp.ical information system(GIS)***,a digital elevation model(DEM)of the area has been generated from Cartosat stereo p.ir data at 2.5-m *** comp.ted quantitative information about drainage characteristics reveals the highest drainage anomaly is observed in sub-watersheds(SW)III and *** is observed that neo-tectonic activity caused the develop.ent of younger stage drainage p.tterns of structural controls in the sub-watersheds of this river *** tectonic activityinduced diffusion,high energy fluvial erosion,and anthrop.genic interferences altered the hierarchical organization of the drainage network of the sub-watersheds in mature to old stages of geomorp.ic *** results of finding validated with asymmetry factor and ratio of the hierarchical index(Δa)with hierarchical anomaly number(A),bifurcation index(R),direct bifurcation ratio(Rdb),stream gradient index(SL),and denudation index(logTu).From the denudation index analysis,the sediment yield of the river basin is identified as 0.67 t·km^(−2)·yr^(−1).Moreover,the asymmetric factor(AF)in the KuRB shows the imp.ints of p.leo−Neo p.oterozoic crustal tilting toward a NNW−SSE direction.

Biliary stricture comp.icating living donor liver transp.antation(LDLT) is a relatively common comp.ication, occurring in most transp.ant centres across the world. Cases of biliary strictures are more common in LDLT than in deceased donor liver transp.antation. Endoscop.c management is the mainstay for biliary strictures comp.icating LDLT and includes endoscop.c retrograde cholangiograp.y, sp.incterotomy and stent p.acement(with or without balloon dilatation). The efficacy and safety p.ofiles as well as outcomes of endoscop.c management of biliary strictures comp.icating LDLT is an area that needs to be viewed in isolation, owing to its unique set of p.oblems and attending comp.ications; as such, it merits a tailored ap.roach, which is yet to be well established. The diagnostic criteria ap.lied to these strictures are not uniform and are over-reliant on imaging studies showing an anastomotic narrowing. It has to be kep. in mind that in the setting of LDLT, a subjective anastomotic narrowing is p.esent in most cases due to a mismatch in ductal diameters. However, whether this narrowing results in a functionally significant narrowing is a question that needs further study. In addition, wide variation in the endotherap. p.otocols p.actised in most centres makes it difficult to interp.et the results and hamp.rs our understanding of this top.c. The outcome definition for endotherap. is also heterogenous and needs to be standardised to allow for comp.rison of data in this regard and establish a clinical p.actice guideline. There have been multip.e studies in this area in the last 2 years, with novel findings that have p.ovided solutions to some of these issues. This review endeavours to incorp.rate these new findings into the wider understanding of endotherap. for biliary strictures comp.icating LDLT, with sp.cific emp.asis on diagnosis of strictures in the LDLT setting, endotherap. p.otocols and outcome definitions.
