Evaluation of Lipid Profile in Obese and Non-Obese Hypertensive Adult Patients Attended in Medicine Department of a Medical College Hospital of Bangladesh

Background: By the dawn of this modern era of science, the prime challenge of physician is cardiovascular disease (CVD). The most important modifiable risk factors of CVDs are unhealthy diet, physical inactivity and tobacco use. The effects of unhealthy diet and physical inactivity include abnormal blood lipid, obesity and hypertension. We tried to evaluate and correlate the pattern of lipid profile in obese and non-obese hypertensive patients. Objectives: This study was conducted at medicine department of Cumilla Medical College Hospital. The principal aim was to evaluate the lipid profile in obese and non-obese adult hypertensive patients. Methodology: During this cross sectional analytical study, a total of 100 adult hypertensive patients were taken by purposive sampling. Among them 50 (group 1) patients were taken those were obese and 50 (group 2) patients taken those were non-obese according to BMI measurement on operational definition. Diagnosis of hypertension would be established with the help of ambulatory BP measurements two occasions few minutes apart. The staging of hypertension was done according to JNC7 Criteria. Morning blood samples were taken after 8 - 12 hours of fasting and lipid profiles were done on authentic laboratories. The laboratory values were interpreted according to the operational definition of dyslipidaemia. The ethical research and review committee approved the study protocol and signed informed consent was obtained from the participants. The statistics was analyzed using the IBM SPSS software of version 19.0. Statistical significance was set at p Results: Among the two groups, there were 56 (56%) males and 44 (44%) females. Petrogenesis of Granites from the Utla Area of Gadoon, North-West Pakistan: Implications from Petrography and Geochemistry

The granitic rocks around the Utla area（Gadoon）, north western, Pakistan are studied in terms of their petrographic features and geochemical characteristics. Although predominantly mega-porphyritic, some of the Utla granites are massive and display fine-grained equi-granular texture. Some of the mega-porphyritic varieties exhibit foliation and seem to be restricted to shear zones. In addition to being distributed largely as phenocrysts, all the essential minerals（plagioclase, perthitic alkali feldspar and quartz） also constitute the groundmass. The studied samples also contain minor to accessory amounts of tourmaline, muscovite and biotite and accessory to trace amounts of apatite, andalusite, garnet, zircon, monazite, epidote and sphene. A detailed geochemical investigation reveals a calc-alkaline and peraluminous character of the Utla granites. The peraluminous character and total lack of hornblende designate their S-type character while a volcanic arc or syn-collisional tectonic setting for their emplacement is indicated by discrimination diagrams. Further examination shows that the melt parental to the Utla granite was derived from a plagioclase-poor, clay-rich rock, i.e., pelite. The petrogenetically significant petrographic and geochemical features of the Utla granite show greater similarity with the Mansehra than the Ambela granites. These include（i） the predominantly megaporphyritic texture,（ii） the presence of andalusite and tourmaline,（iii） the calc-alkaline geochemical signature and（iv） an indication of similar melt source rock character.

We describe the effects of plane surface on the photo-detached electron spectra from H^(-)_(2).A z-polarized laser is used for the detachment of *** detached electron flux and photodetachment cross section are *** exists strong dependence on the distance of the H^(-)_(2) from the surface and also on the separation of atomic centers of H^(-)_(2).The results show strong oscillations for smaller values of distances,whereas for larger values the oscillating structure disappears.

The smart vehicles are one of critical enablers for automated services in smart cities to provide intelligent transportation means without human *** order to fulfil requirements,Vehicle-to-Anything(V2X)communications aims to manage massive connectivity and high traffic load on base stations and extend the range over multiple hops in 5G ***,V2X networking faces several challenges from dynamic topology caused by high velocity of nodes and routing overhead that degrades the network performance and increases energy *** existing routing scheme for V2X networking lacks energy efficiency and scalability for high velocity nodes with dense *** order to handle the challenges,this article proposes a scalable and energy-efficient routing scheme called Dynamic proactive reactive routing for 5G(DPR5)for high mobility speed and dense *** compared to existing schemes it uses a single routing table and efficiently minimizes the energy consumption in dense environment,improves node‘s lifetime upto 42%,and optimizes network performance by reducing the packet loss ratio upto 46%in a high velocity dense environment.

A compact transmit/receive switch for 2.4 GHz reader-less active RFID tag transceiver

Radio frequency identification(RFID) is a ubiquitous identification technology nowadays. An on-chip high-performance transmit/receive(T/R) switch is designed and simulated in 0.13-μm CMOS technology for reader-less RFID tag. The switch utilizes only the transistor width and length(W/L) optimization, proper gate bias resistor and resistive body floating technique and therefore,exhibits 1 d B insertion loss, 31.5 d B isolation and 29.2 d Bm 1-d B compression point(P1d B). Moreover, the switch dissipates only786.7 n W power for 1.8/0 V control voltages and is capable of switching in 794 fs. Above all, as there is no inductor or capacitor used in the circuit, the size of the switch is 0.00208 mm2 only. This switch will be appropriate for reader-less RFID tag transceiver front-end as well as other wireless transceivers operated at 2.4 GHz band.

Radiocesium accumulated in the soil by nuclear accidents is a major environmental *** transport process of cesium(Cs^(+))is tightly linked to the indispensable plant nutrient potassium(K^(+))as they both belong to the group I alkali metals with similar chemical *** of the transporters that had been characterized to date as Cs*transporters are directly or indirectly linked to K^(+).Using a combinatorial approach of physiology,genetics,cell biology,and root uptake assay,here we identified two ATP-binding cassette(ABC)proteins,ABCG37 and ABCG33,as facilitators of Cs^(+)influx.A gain-of-function mutant of ABCG37(abcg37-1)showed increased sensitivity to Cs^(+)-induced root growth inhibition,while the double knockout mutant of ABCG33 and ABCG37(abcg33-1abcg37-2)showed resistance,whereas the single loss-of-function mutants of ABCG33 and ABCG37 did not show any alteration in Cs^(+)*** planta short-term radioactive Cs^(+)-uptake assay along with growth and uptake assays in a heterologous system confirmed ABCG33 and ABCG37 as Cs^(+)-uptake *** response and content were unaffected in the double-mutant background and yeast cells lacking potassium-uptake carriers transformed with ABCG33 and ABCG37 failed to grow in the absence of K^(+),confirming that Cs^(+)uptake by ABCG33 and ABCG37 is independent of K^(+).Collectively,this work identified two ABC proteins as new Cs^(+)-influx carriers that act redundantly and independent of the K^(+)-uptake pathway.

SWEET transporters are a unique class of sugar transporters that play vital roles in various developmental and physiological processes in *** the functions of SWEETs have been well established in model plants such as Arabidopsis,their functions in economically important fruit crops like pineapple have not been well *** we aimed to investigate the substrate specificity of pineapple SWEETs by comparing the protein sequences of known glucose and sucrose transporters in Arabidopsis with those in *** genome-wide approach and 3D structure comparison showed that the Arabidopsis SWEET8 homolog in pineapple,AcSWEET10,shares similar sequences and protein properties responsible for glucose *** determine the functional conservation of AcSWEET10,we tested its ability to complement glucose transport mutants in yeast and analyzed its expression in stamens and impact on the microspore phenotype and seed set in transgenic *** results showed that AcSWEET10 is functionally equivalent to AtSWEET8 and plays a critical role in regulating microspore formation through the regulation of the Callose synthase5(CalS5),which highlights the importance of SWEET transporters in *** information could have important implications for improving fruit crop yield and quality by manipulating SWEET transporter activity.
