Crohn's disease (CD) is a chronic autoimmune disorder that affects mainly young people. The clinical management is based on the Crohn's Disease Activity Index and especially on biologic parameters with or without additional endoscopic and imaging procedures, such as barium and computed tomography examinations. Recently, magnetic resonance (MR) imaging has been a promising diagnostic radiologic technique with lack of ionizing radiation, enabling superior tissue contrast resolution due to new pulse-sequence developments. Therefore, MR enterography has the potential to become the modality of choice for imaging the small bowel in CD patients.

AIM:To evaluate the dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) findings of bone metastasis in prostate cancer ***:Sixteen men with a diagnosis of metastatic prostate cancer to bones were examined with DCE-MRI at 1.5 *** mean contrast agent concentration vs time curves for bone metastasis and normal bone were calculated and K trans and ve values were estimated and ***:An early significant enhancement (wash-out:n=6,plateau:n=8 and persistent:n=2) was detected in all bone metastases (n=16).Bone metastasis from prostate cancer showed significant enhancementand high K trans and ve values compared to normal bone which does not enhance in the elderly *** mean K trans was 0.101/mmiinn and 0.0051/mmiinn (P < 0.001),the mean ve was 0.141 and 0.0038 (P < 0.001),for bone metastases and normal bone,respectively.

We intend to realize the step-up and step-down operators of the potential V (x) = V1 e 2βx+V2 e βx. It is found that these operators satisfy the commutation relations for the SU(2) group. We find the eigenfunctions and the eigenvalues of the potential by using the Laplace transform approach to study the Lie algebra satisfied the ladder operators of the potential under consideration. Our results are similar to the ones obtained for the Morse potential (β→β).

The effective mass one-dimensional Schroedinger equation for the generalized Morse potential is solved by using Nikiforov-Uvarov method. Energy eigenvalues and corresponding eigenfunctions are computed analytically. The results are also reduced to the constant mass case. Energy eigenvalues are computed numerically for some diatomic molecules. They are in agreement with the ones obtained before.

Snow is important in Türkiye especially in the mountainous eastern areas where it may stay on the ground for more than half of the *** region plays a vital role in feeding the water resources of the trans-boundary Euphrates-Tigris Basin,supporting crucial dams for water supply,irrigation and energy ***,easy,frequent,correct and economical ways of measuring the snowpack is *** snow properties at specific locations in the mountainous eastern regions over the two snow seasons(2018 and 2019)were studied by using different instruments and techniques,snow pit(box/cylinder/wedge cutter types),snow tube(Federal Sampler)and SnoTel(Snowpack Analyzer).The results point out a 1.7%-7.1%variation between different cutter type snow density measurements within snow pit analysis and the long-term utilized snow tube observations show a closer relation to box/cylinder type *** for the continuous SnoTel observations,a variation of 2.4%-9.8%with various cutter types and a 5.9%difference regarding the snow tube density results are *** findings indicate a close range among different instruments,but it is the best when all three systems complement each other to characterize the snowpack effectively in the complex terrain since each has its own advantages.

AIM:To investigate whether oral glutamine pretreatment prevents impairment of intestinal mucosal integrity during ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) in rats. METHODS: The study was performed as two series with 40 rats in each. Each series of animals was divided into four groups. The first group was used as a control. Animals in the second group were only pretreated with oral glutamine, 1 g/kg for 4 d. The third group received a normal diet, and underwent intestinal I/R, while the fourth group was pretreated with oral glutamine in the same way, and underwent intestinal I/R. Intestinal mucosal permeability to 51Cr-labeled EDTA was measured in urine in the first series of animals. In the second series, histopathological changes in intestinal tissue and plasma endotoxin levels were evaluated. RESULTS: Intestinal I/R produced a significant increase in intestinal permeability, plasma endotoxin level and worsened histopathological alterations. After intestinal I/R, permeability was significantly lower in glutamine- treated rats compared to those which received a normal diet. However, no significant change was observed in plasma endotoxin levels or histopathological findings. CONCLUSION: Although glutamine pretreatment seems to be protective of intestinal integrity, upon I/R injury, such an effect was not observable in the histopathological changes or plasma endotoxin level.
