Ion Conduction in Superionic Glassy Electrolytes:An Overview

The various theoretical and experimental models for ion conduction mechanism of fast ion conducting （FIC） glass electrolytes have been reported in the present review paper. Some characterization techniques of FIC glasses are presented. The experimental methods for determination of some ion transport parameters viz ionic conductivity （σ）, ionic mobility （μ）, mobile ion concentration （n）, ionic drift velocity （Vd）, ionic transference number （tion） and activation energies of FIC glasses are explained. The solid state battery fabrication by using some FIC glasses is also reported.

SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND ION TRANSPORT PROPERTIES OF HOT-PRESSED SOLID POLYMER ELECTROLYTES (1-x) PEO:x KI

Synthesis and ion transport properties of hot-pressed solid polymer electrolytes （SPEs）, （l-x） PEO： x KI, where x is the content of KI in wt%, are reported. A hot-press technique has been used for the formation of the polymeric membranes in place of the usual solution cast method. The composition （80 PEO：20 KI） was identified as the highest conducting polymer electrolyte on the basis of compositional dependent conductivity studies of PEO：KI films. A conductivity enhancement of more than two orders of magnitude from that of the pure PEO was achieved. Materials characterization and ion transport mechanism were explained by using various experimental techniques.

Role of organic amendments in reducing leaching of sulfosulfuron through wheat crop cultivated soil

A field study with wheat crop was undertaken to examine the efficacy of two soil amendments,cereal straw and fresh cow dung slurry,in reducing leaching of sulfosulfuron to groundwater and its residue load in *** herbicide was extracted by the QuEChER’S method and quantified through high performance liquid *** amendments had no effect on the general properties of *** cereal straw and fresh cow dung reduced leaching of sulfosulfuron into groundwater but cereal straw was more effective,probably because its addition decreases soil pH,thereby causing faster hydrolysis of the *** harvest time,residues of the herbicide in grains,straw and soil were below recommended maximum residue limits(0.1mg kg-1)with both ***,both the amendments can be recommended for wheat cropping systems to control sulfosulfuron leaching to groundwater.

A Spherical Relativistic Anisotropic Compact Star Model

We provide solutions to Einsteins field equations for a model of a spherically symmetric anisotropic fluid distribution, relevant to the description of compact stars. The central matter-energy density, radial and tangential pressures, red shift and speed of sound are positive definite and are decreasing monotonically with increasing radial distance from the center of matter distribution of astrophysical object. The causality condition is satisfied for complete fluid distribution. The central value of anisotropy is zero and is increasing monotonically with increasing radial distance from the center of the distribution. The adiabatic index is increasing with increasing radius of spherical fluid distribution. The stability conditions in relativistic compact star are also discussed in our investigation. The solution is representing the realistic objects such as SAXJ1808.4-3658, HerX-1, 4U1538-52, LMC X-4, CenX-3, VelaX-1, PSRJ1614-2230 and PSRJ0348+0432 with suitable conditions.
