Due to the metropolitan area of immense diversity and breadth of their construction activities, the performance of activities at districts level, cannot be precisely evaluated. Therefore, generally, it monitors only the indices which are defined for those functions. Furthermore, district-based development policy, and decentralization of governance, necessitate more local autonomy, which requires closer monitors of districts for being sure of its movements in the frame of urban developing plans. The advancement of technology has created the expectation that we can monitor all details of the metropolitan administrative processes and involve them in decision support systems for urban management. In this study, a web based SDSS prototype has been implemented to monitor the Tehran development plans progress at districts level. This interactive system presents a map of Tehran which indicates the realization of each component of the city master plan in different parts of town. The design of system lets all districts produce and support their own reporting maps, and it presents them in their dedicated place of city map by snapping all districts reports, when a city report arises. Also it elaborates the problem of implementing and proposes “cloud computing facilities” as a solution.

Prognosis in children with traumatic injuries referring to the emergency department

Purpose:Trauma may lead to serious complications in children *** purpose of this study was to investigate prognosis in children with traumatic ***:This cross-sectional study was conducted on all of the children(<18 years old)who had suffered traumatic injuries and transferred to the emergency department of Imam Hussein Hospital by emergency medical *** selecting the children,a checklist including information such as demographic characteristics,trauma type,consciousness level,and final outcome was ***,the data were analyzed using t-test,Chi-square test and ***:In total of 564 children were *** them,70% were males,and 33.2% were in the age range of 5-12 *** mechanism of injuries in 97.9% of the cases was blunt *** most common chief complaint among the affected children was *** majority of them had stable vital signs and normal neurological tests ***,1.06% of them died during *** results indicated that the final outcome in the children affected by traumatic injuries is significantly related to the type of trauma,the location of traumatic event,the vehicle used to transport them to emergency departments and their Glasgow coma scale score(p<0.05).Conclusion:Considering the young age of the child patients and over half of trauma happened at home,it is important to raise parents'awareness about the risky places and activities,which were likely to result in traumatic injuries for children.

This study analyzes and investigates the impact of traffic noise on high rise buildings and surrounding areas by the side of Hemmat Highway that links west of Tehran to the east. In this study, a 3D traffic noise simulation model is applied on a GIS system. Visualized noise levels are formulated by the proposed model for noise mapping on all surfaces of the buildings and surrounding ground in a 3D platform. The investigation shows that there is a high traffic noise impact on the foreground and front facades of buildings, rendering these areas unsuitable for residential purposes. The ground area by the sides of buildings and the building side panels receive a lower noise impact. Most of these areas are still not acceptable for residential and even commercial use, only the back yards and back panels, have the lowest traffic noise impact. It also shows that the building height is not an effective factor for reducing motorway noise on the upper part of the building. Finally, construction cantilever barriers with a height of seven meters, close to the outer edge of the highway was presented as an effective way to reduce noise within the allowable range of noise pollution for commercial and residential purposes.

Objective:To detect infectious mononucleosis(IM)prevalence in Neyshabur,Northeast Iran during ***:This cross-sectional descriptive epidemiological survey was performed to reveal the prevalence of IM in Neyshabur between 2010 and 2014.A total of 114 individuals were ***,individuals with positive test for specific immunoglobulin G and immunoglobulin M in the agglutination test were determined as positive ***:The overall prevalence of IM was 14%.Mean±SD of age for IM test was 18.96±*** age groups of 0-10 and 21-30 were the most positive cases in this *** addition,31-40 and over 50 years were not positive *** individuals were significantly more positive and likewise,it was observed that there were significantly higher positive cases of IM in spring and ***:Among the five years of this study,it was a decreasing status from 2010(23.1%)to 2014(9.1%),though a slight fluctuation had *** prevalence of IM was low in Neyshabur ***,children and male individuals had relatively higher prevalence of the ***,it was observed a higher rate of IM in spring and summer.

The volatile constituents of the essential oil of Hymenocrater longiflorus Benth. growing wild in Kurdistan-Iran were investigated using the GC and GC/MS techniques. Fifteen compounds, representing twenty (97.03%) of the total oil were identified. The main components were: α- Pinene (22.47%), β-Caryophyllene (18.05%), β- Eudesmol (14.92%), α-Copaene (9.84%), γ-Elemene (6.79%), δ-Cadine-ne (6.13%), (–)Bornyl acetate (5.61%), α-Amorphene (3.84%), α-Fen- chyl acetate (2.35%) and β-Pinene (2.07%). Some of the physicochemical properties like the logarithm of calculated Octanol-Water partitioning coefficients (log Kow), total biodegradation and (TBd in mol/h and gr./h), water solubility (Sw, mg.L-1 at 25oC) and median lethal concentration 50 (LC50) were calculated for the 15 com- ponents of Hymenocrater longiflorus Benth.

Global warming and climate change are the most important ecological issues of our time. The most well-known factor in this phenomenon is the redundancy of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Over the past 50 years the amount of residual CO2 in the atmosphere has risen from 40% to 45%. Reducing CO2 redundancy requires precise knowledge of the gas sources and sinks throughout the atmosphere. Despite having a leading role in residual gas levels of atmosphere, the diagnosis and types of changes of absorbing carbon dioxide are very much in doubt. Atmospheric measurements of CO2 concentrations are highly precise and provide a reliable measure of increase of CO2 in the atmosphere every year but they do not lead to the location of sources and sinks. Studies about understanding CO2 cycles began mainly around 1990 and most of these studies have been focused on non-spatial analysis. By ignoring the spatial effects, an important property such as closeness (adjacent) has been disregarded. The emission sources of gas are stronger than their sink sources i.e., whenever a sink is adjacent to a strong emission source, the measurements will show a massive existence of CO2 gas in that region although there exists a fine CO2?gas sink at below. Using the global measurements of CO2 and applying spatial analysis approach to “Leave One Out” method, our studies reveal the most probable spots of CO2 sources and sinks and that Negev Desert in Middle East is a distinguished CO2 sink region.

Incidence of Enterobius vermicularis in acute appendicitis: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Objective: To evaluate the incidence of Enterobius vermicularis (E. vermicularis) in appendectomies in Iran from 1993 to 2018 . Methods: Data were systematically collected on the electronic databases including PubMed, GoogleScholar, ScienceDirect, Scopus, Web of Science, Magiran, Irandoc (Bareket), IranMedex, and Scientific Information Database in English or Persian. Six articles including 29694 cases of appendicitis with 258 positive cases of infection withE. vermicularis were eligible to enter into this systematic review and meta-analysis. Results: The overall prevalence of E. vermicularis in appendicitis in Iran was 1% (95%CI=0.00-0.02) with the highest rate of 3% (95%CI=0.02-0.03) and lowest rate of 0% (95%CI=0.00-0.01). Conclusions: Prevalence of E. vermicularis infectionin appendicitis in Iran is low and has no statistically significant correlation with age and gender.
