The purpose of this research is to improve the robustness of the autonomous system in order to improve the position and velocity estimation of an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV).Therefore, new integrated SiNS/GPS navigation scheme based on interacting Multiple Nonlinear Fuzzy Adaptive H_∞ Models(iMM-NFAH_∞) filtering technique for UAV is presented. The proposed iMM-NFAH_∞ strategy switches between two different Nonlinear Fuzzy Adaptive H_∞(NFAH_∞) filters and each NFAH_∞ filter is based on different fuzzy logic inference systems. The newly proposed technique takes into consideration the high order Taylor series terms and adapts the nonlinear H_∞ filter based on different fuzzy inference systems via adaptive filter bounds(di),along with disturbance attenuation parameter c. Simulation analysis validates the performance of the proposed algorithm, and the comparison with nonlinear H_∞(NH_∞) filter and that with different NFAH_∞ filters demonstrate the effectiveness of UAV localization utilizing iMM-NFAH_∞ filter.

Gamma-ray spectroscopy based on a 100% efficiency hyper-pure germanium detector was used to evaluate the activity concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th, and 40K natural radionuclides in sedimentary, conglomerate, igneous and sedi-ments rock samples collected from four different locations in Eastern desert in Egypt. The obtained activity concentrations are used to evaluate the radi-ological hazards indices, absorbed dose rate, annual effective dose equivalent in air, radium equivalent, external and internal hazard index, radiation level index, annual gonadal dose equivalent, excess lifetime cancer risk and expo-sure rate. The results show that 1) the absorbed dose rate depends on the rock type, 2) the annual effective dose equivalent in air in 71% of sample below 20 mSvy-1 (permissible limit for workers), 3) the conglomerate rocks show low radioactivity level, 4) sedimentary rocks are rich in radium while igneous rocks are rich in thorium and the sediments rocks are rich in both radium and thorium.

BACKGROUND Undernutrition is a crucial cause of morbidity and mortality among children in low-or middle-income countries(LMiCs).A better understanding of maternal general healthy nutrition knowledge,as well as misbeliefs,is highly essential,especially in such settings.in the current era of infodemics,it is very strenuous for mothers to select not only the right source for maternal nutrition information but the correct information as well.AiM To assess maternal healthy nutritional knowledge and nutrition-related misbeliefs and misinformation in an LMiC,and to determine the sources of such information and their assessment methods.METHODS This cross-sectional analytical observational study enrolled 5148 randomly selected Egyptian mothers who had one or more children less than 15 years old.The data were collected through online questionnaire forms:One was for the general nutrition knowledge assessment,and the other was for the nutritional myth score.Sources of information and ways of evaluating internet sources using the Currency,Relevance,Authority,Accuracy,and Purpose test were additionally analyzed.RESULTS The mean general nutrition knowledge score was 29±9,with a percent score of 70.8%±12.1%(total score:41).The median myth score was 9(interquartile range:6,12;total score:18).The primary sources of nutrition knowledge for the enrolled mothers were social media platforms(55%).Half of the mothers managed information for currency and authority,except for considering the author's contact information.More than 60%regularly checked information for accuracy and purpose.The mothers with significant nutrition knowledge checked periodically for the author's contact information(P=0.012).The nutrition myth score was significantly lower among mothers who periodically checked the evidence of the information(P=0.016).Mothers dependent on their healthcare providers as the primary source of their general nutritional knowledge were less likely to hold myths by 13%(P=0.044).However,using social media increased the likelihood of havi

The structural performance of perforated steel columns(PSCs)is significantly more complex than the one of solid web i-shaped elements under the diversity of blast loading scenarios.The damage criterion of PSCs is not only related to initial deformation response during the blast but also the residual axial load capacity and it can be considered as a reliable index after the blast effects.Therefore,the PSCs damages will be studied in two stages;direct and post blast effects.in the present study,the dynamic response of PSCs was numerically evaluated under different levels of blast threats using LS-DYNA software.Extensive explicit finite element(FE)analyses are carried out to investigate the effect of various parameters,such as web opening shapes,boundary conditions and strengthening details on the damage index and toughness of the PSCs compared to the parent steel sections.The results of the comparative study show that the damage and toughness decrease when the support condition changes from pinned to fixed ends through the two stages of loadings.PSCs give high toughness compared to its parent sections during blast shock stage while,a remarkable decrease in toughness is observed during the application of axial gravity after blast shock.Furthermore,the web opening shapes have slight effects on the global dynamic behavior of PSCs,particularly in terms of residual capacity.On the contrary,the retrofitting strategy using both closed holes at end and vertical stiffeners have an effective enhancement to get higher toughness in case of the extreme blasts.

BACKGROUND The impact of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)on acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)is debatable.T2DM was suspected to reduce the risk and complications of ARDS.However,during coronavirus disease 2019(COViD-19),T2DM predisposed patients to ARDS,especially those who were on insulin at home.AiMTo evaluate the impact of outpatient insulin use in T2DM patients on non-COViD-19 ARDS outcomes.METHODS We conducted a retrospective cohort analysis using the Nationwide inpatient Sample database.Adult patients diagnosed with ARDS were stratified into insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus(DM)(iDDM)and non-insulindependent DM(NiDDM)groups.After applying exclusion criteria and matching over 20 variables,we compared cohorts for mortality,duration of mechanical ventilation,incidence of acute kidney injury(AKi),length of stay(LOS),hospitalization costs,and other clinical outcomes.RESULTS Following 1:1 propensity score matching,the analysis included 274 patients in each group.Notably,no statistically significant differences emerged between the iDDM and NiDDM groups in terms of mortality rates(32.8%vs 31.0%,P=0.520),median hospital LOS(10 d,P=0.537),requirement for mechanical ventilation,incidence rates of sepsis,pneumonia or AKi,median total hospitalization costs,or patient disposition upon discharge.CONCLUSiON Compared to alternative anti-diabetic medications,outpatient insulin treatment does not appear to exert an independent influence on in-hospital morbidity or mortality in diabetic patients with non-COViD-19 ARDS.

The existing radio access network(RAN)is facing many challenges to meet the very strict speed and latency requirements by different mobile applications in addition to the increasing pressure to reduce operating cost.innovation and development in RAN have been accelerated to tackle these challenges and to define how next generation mobile networks should look like.The role of machine learning(ML)and artificial intelligence(Ai)driven innovations within the RAN domain is strengthening and attracting lots of attention to tackle many of the challenging problems.in this paper we surveyed RAN network base stations(BSs)clustering and its applications in the literature.The paper also demonstrates how to leverage community detection algorithms to understand underlying community structures within RAN.Tracking areas(TAs)novel framework was developed by adapting existing community detection algorithm to solve the problem of statically partitioning a set of BSs into TA according to mobility patterns.Finally,live network dataset in dense urban part of Cairo is used to assess how the developed framework is used to partition this part of the network more efficiently compared to other clustering techniques.Results obtained showed that the new methodology saved up to 34.6%of inter TA signaling overhead and surpassing other conventional clustering algorithms.

Semen parameters in men with spinal cord injury： changes and aetiology

Aim： To assess the changes in semen parameters in men with spinal cord injury （SCi） and the possible causes of these changes. Methods： The study included 45 subjects with SCi. Semen retrieval was done by masturbation （2）, vigorous prostatic massage （n = 13）, penile vibratory stimulation （n = 13） or electroejaculation （n = 17）. Results： The semen of men with SCi showed normal volume （2.3 ± 1.9 mL） and sperm count （85.0 × 10^6 ± 83.8 × 10^6/mE） with decreased motility （11.6% ± 10.1%）, vitality （18.5 % ± 15.2%） and normal forms （17.5 ± 13.4%）, and pus cells has been increased （6.0 × 10^6 ± 8.2 × 10^6/mL）. Total （13.4 ± 9.9 vs. 7.1 ± 6.8） and progressive （4.4 ± 3.9 vs. 2.2 ± 2.1） motility were significantly higher in subjects with lower scrotal temperatures. There was no statistical significant difference between electroejaculation and penile vibratory stimulation groups as regards any of the semen parameters. Subjects＇ age, infrequent ejaculation, injury duration and hormonal profile showed no significant effect on semen parameters. Conclusion： The defining characteristics of the seminogram in men with SCi are normal volume and count with decreased sperm motility, vitality and normal forms, and the increased number of pus cells. The most acceptable cause of the deterioration of semen is elevated scrotal temperature.

This paper attempts to shed light on three biochemical reaction-diffusion models:conformable fractional Brusselator,conformable fractional Schnakenberg,and conformable fractional Gray-Scott.This is done using conformable residual power series(hence-form,CRPS)technique which has indeed,proved to be a useful tool for generating the solution.interestingly,CRPS is an effective method of solving nonlinear fractional differential equations with greater accuracy and ease.

Artificial intelligence(Ai)has recently been used in nanomedical applications,in which implanted intelligent nanosystems inside the human body were used to diagnose and treat a variety of ailments with the help of the internet of biological Nano Things(ioBNT).Biological circuit engineering or nanomaterial-based architectures can be used to approach the nanosystem.in nanomedical applications,the blood vascular medium serves as a communication channel,demonstrating a molecular communication system based on flow and diffusion.This paper presents a performance study of the channel capacity for flow-based-diffusive molecular communication nanosystems that takes into account the ligand-receptor binding mechanism.Unlike earlier studies,we take into account the effects of biological physical characteristics such as blood pressure,blood viscosity,and vascular diameter on channel capacity.Furthermore,in terms of drug transmission error probability,the inter-symbol interference(iSi)phenomenon is applied to the proposed system.The numerical results show that the proposed Ai nanosystems-based ioBNT technology can be successfully implemented in future nanomedicine.
