Pursuit-evasion games involving mobile robots provide an excellent platform to analyze the performance of pursuit and evasion strategies. Pursuit-evasion has received considerable attention from researchers in the past few decades due to its application to a broad spectrum of problems that arise in various domains such as defense research, robotics, computer games, drug delivery, cell biology, etc. Several methods have been introduced in the literature to compute the winning chances of a single pursuer or single evader in a two-player game. Over the past few decades, proportional navigation guidance (PNG) based methods have proved to be quite effective for the purpose of pursuit especially for missile navigation and target tracking. However, a performance comparison of these pursuer-centric strategies against recent evader-centric schemes has not been found in the literature, for wheeled mobile robot applications. With a view to understanding the performance of each of the evasion strategies against various pursuit strategies and vice versa, four different proportional navigation-based pursuit schemes have been evaluated against five evader-centric schemes and vice-versa for non-holonomic wheeled mobile robots. The pursuer′s strategies include three well-known schemes namely, augmented ideal proportional navigation guidance (AIPNG), modified AIPNG, angular acceleration guidance (AAG), and a recently introduced pursuer-centric scheme called anticipated trajectory-based proportional navigation guidance (ATPNG). Evader-centric schemes are classic evasion, random motion, optical-flow based evasion, Apollonius circle based evasion and another recently introduced evasion strategy called anticipated velocity based evasion. The performance of each of the pursuit methods was evaluated against five different evasion methods through hardware implementation. Inorganic arsenic induces a variety of toxicities including cancer. The mode of action for cancer and non-cancer effects involves the metabolic generation of trivalent arsenicals and their reaction with sulfhydryl groups within critical proteins in various cell types which leads to the biological response. In epithelial cells, the response is cell death with consequent regenerative proliferation. If this continues for a long period of time, it can result in an increased risk of cancer. Arsenicals do not react with DNA. There is evidence for indirect genotoxicity in various in vitro and in vivo systems, but these involve exposures at cytotoxic concentrations and are not the basis for cancer development. The resulting markers of genotoxicity could readily be due to the cytotoxicity rather than an effect on the DNA itself. Evidence for genotoxicity in humans has involved detection of chromosomal aberrations, sister chromatid exchanges in lymphocytes and micronucleus formation in lymphocytes, buccal mucosal cells, and exfoliated urothelial cells in the urine. Numerous difficulties have been identified in the interpretation of such results, including inadequate assessment of exposure to arsenic, measurement of micronuclei, and potential confounding factors such as tobacco exposure, folate deficiency, and others. Overall, the data strongly supports a non-linear dose response for the effects of inorganic arsenic. In various in vitro and in vivo models and in human epidemiology studies there appears to be a threshold for biological responses, including cancer.

The objective of the study was to characterize the germplasm for identification and phylogeny study for conservation. Identification and characterization of germplasm is an important link between the conservation and utilization of plant genetic resources. The present investigation was undertaken to draw the phylogenetic relationship between twelve species from India belonging to genus Phyllanthus with the help of molecular markers. In total, 259 marker loci were assessed, out of which 249 were polymorphic revealing 96.13% polymorphism. Nei’s similarity index varies from 0.23 to 0.76 for RAPD and 0.26 to 0.81 for ISSR marker systems. Cluster analysis by unweighted pair group method (UPGMA) of Dice coefficient of similarity generated dendogram with more or less similar topology for both the analysis that gave a better reflection of diversity and affinities between the species. The phylogenetic tree obtained from both RAPD and ISSR marker has divided the 12 species in two groups: group I consisting of only one species Phyllanthus angustifolius and the group II with the rest 11 species. This molecular result is comparable to notable morphological characteristics. The present study revealed the distant variation within the species of Phyllanthus. This investigation will help for identification and conservation of Phyllanthus species.

The acronym, BRIC, was coined by Jim O'Neill of Goldman Sachs way back in 2001. He predicted that by year 2050, Brazil, Russia, India and China would become bigger than the present six most industrialized nations in dollar terms, and would completely change the power dynamics of the past 300 years. In 2010, BRIC was expanded into BRICS, to include another rising power, South *** six emerging powerful countries are not an obvious set. They are dissimilar in their internal politics, economic power, cultural and linguistic traditions, development challenges and power projections. Despite a range of differences between them, BRICS has outstripped most expectations in recent years, in forming a promising political grouping. The BRICS countries have come together to set up a multilateral co-operative arrangement to solve shared problems and challenges of globalization. With a combined GDP of $8.7 trillion (6.2 trillion euros) in 2010, the BRIC economies (minus South Africa, a later addition), have accounted for 30% of global economic growth. During the same period, the other significant achievement is that the BRIC collective trade with the world increased almost six-fold from $790 billion to $4.4 trillion. Moreover, according to an IMF estimate, the projected combined GDP of BRICS will reach $21 trillion, exceeding that of USA which is estimated to reach $18.8 trillion. Because of the growing influence of their economies in global trade, the BRICS countries are vocal about changing dollar supremacy in international trade transaction. In addition to their contribution to global trade, the BRICS economies have contributed to an increase in trade among developing countries, which is growing three times faster than the trade growth rate among advanced economies. Furthermore, BRIC economies have contributed up to 60% of trade between low income countries (LIC) and non-LIC emerging economies, with bilateral trade between the BRICS and LICs increasing by about 25% annu

With the help of a phenomenological approach outlined in the text in some detail, we have dealt here with the description of the plots on rapidity and pseudorapidity spectra of some hadron-secondaries produced in various nucleus-nucleus interactions at high energies. The agreement between the measured data and the attempted fits are, on the whole, modestly satisfactory excepting a very narrow central region in the vicinity of y = η = 0. At last, hints to how the steps suggested in the main body of the text to proceed with the description of the measured data given in the plots could lead finally to a somewhat systematic methodology have also been made.

The masses of the recently reported by LHCb two pentaquark charmonium states Pc* (4380) and Pc* (4450) which are suggested to possess pentaquark configuration () have been estimated considering a dihadronic state consisting of a meson? and a baryon (uud). The binding energies of the states have been estimated with a van der Walls type of molecular interaction between the hadrons. A spin interaction has also been considered. Masses of these two states are well reproduced with the aforesaid molecular interaction which indicates that the multiquarks Pc* (4380) and Pc* (4450) can be well described as meson-baryon bound states.

The preterm premature rupture of membranes occurring in early pregnancy at less than 23 - 24 weeks (prior to fetal viability), has higher risk for early preterm delivery, and therefore, the poorer the prognosis with poor chance of neonatal survival and a high rate of severe, long-term neonatal morbidity among survivors. In such cases in absence of overt evidence of intrauterine infection at the time of diagnosis termination of pregnancy or expectant management is generally offered modality of treatment, the prior being commonly preffered. When expectant management is instituted, it is very rare that spontaneous resealing of the membranes occurs with the outcome that is equivocal to normal pregnancy. The presented case is an example of this rare happening. A 25-year-old, mangolian, primigravida at 20 weeks of pregnancy had spontaneous preterm premature rupture of membranes. After 8 days of expectant management, she had cessation of amniotic fluid leak and could continue pregnancy till term with normal feto-maternal outcome at 37 weeks of pregnancy. The risk of infection increases with prolongation of latency period but in this case, the latency period was prolonged for more than 16 weeks and there was no evidence of infection, with normal feto-maternal outcome at term. This is the first case of its kind happened in our hospital and deserves to be reported. It is expected that this article will reveal the possibility of resealing of spontaneous preterm premature rupture of membrane with proper expectant management.
