Two-dimensional(2D)materials have gained considerable attention in chemical sensing owing to their naturally high surface-to-volume ***,the poor response time and incomplete recovery re-strict their application in practical,high performance gas *** this work,we fabricated air-stable ReS_(2)/GaSe heterostructure-based NO_(2)gas sensors with excellent gas sensing response,recovery,selectiv-ity and a low limit of detection(LOD)toward nitrogen dioxide(NO_(2)).The ReS_(2)/GaSe heterostructure was prepared via mechanical exfoliation and an all-dry transfer *** the sensing measurements,temperature-dependant transport measurements were carried *** Schottky Barrier Height(SBH)of the ReS_(2)/GaSe heterostructure was calculated and the corresponding transport mechanisms were *** fabricated gas sensors showed a significant response enhancement with full reversibility to-ward ppm-level NO_(2)(response of∼17%at 3 ppm,a LOD of∼556 ppb)at an operating temperature of(33°C).In particular,the total response and recovery time of the ReS_(2)/GaSe was revealed to be less than 4 min(∼38 s and∼174 s,respectively)for the 250 ppm concentration,which is one of the best response and recovery time toward ppm-level NO_(2).The excellent sensing performances and recovery characteris-tics of the ReS_(2)/GaSe structure are attributed to its efficient charge separation,unique interlayer coupling and desirable band *** atomically thin,ultrasensitive gas sensor that operates at room tem-perature is a strong technological contender to conventional metal oxide gas sensors,which often require elevated temperatures.

Mineralogy and geochemistry of trachytic rocks from the Lichi Volcanics, Eastern Himalaya: insights into the Kerguelen mantle plume activity in the Eastern Himalayan Region

The Lichi volcanics are a suite of mafic-intermediate-felsic rocks and are considered coeval with the Abor volcanics(~132 Ma) of the Siang window in the Eastern Himalaya. Here, we present the first report of trachytic rocks from the Lichi volcanics, which are exposed in the Ranga valley, along the Kimin-Yazali road section in the Eastern Himalayan Region, Northeast India. The trachytes occur in close association with sandstones of the Gondwana Group of rocks and are characterised based on field, petrographical, and geochemical *** fine-grained trachytes are composed of alkali feldspar, biotite, plagioclase, sodic-amphibole, apatite, illmenite, and titanite. The REE profiles of the evolved trachytic rocks(higher SiO_(2)content) display fractionated trends. The fractionation of accessory mineral phases, like apatite and titanite, was possibly responsible for the strongly fractionated REE patterns of the evolved *** trachytic rocks demonstrate high apatite saturation temperatures of 988 ± 14 ℃(1σ, n = 8). The Aluminium Saturation Index(< 1.1) and binary discrimination diagrams of these peralkaline trachytes define their affinity with A-type granitoids. Elemental ratios like Y/Nb, Nb/U,and Ce/Pb signify that the Lichi trachytes are differentiated products of mantle-derived ocean island basalts. Trace elemental discrimination diagrams Th/Yb versus Nb/Yb, Y versus Nb, and Y + Nb versus Rb reflect a within-plate tectonic regime for the trachytes. From the results presented in this work, we infer that the development of rifting events during the breakup of eastern Gondwana due to the onset of Kerguelen plume activity further led to underplating of basic magma in lower crustal levels. The Ghansura Rhyolite Dome of Bathani vol-cano-sedimentary sequence,eastern India,represents a subvolcanic felsic magma chamber that was invaded by crystal-rich mafic magma during its cooling phase to form an assortment of hybrid rocks.A prominent solidified portion of the magma reservoir was embedded in the intruding mafic magma as fragments or clasts that pro-duced mafic rocks with felsic *** distinct compo-sitional zones could be identified in the mafic rocks containing felsic clasts-(a)medium-grained mafic zones that are dominated by amphiboles,and(b)fine-grained felsic zones consisting primarily of quartz and *** occur in most of the felsic clasts suggesting the mechanical transfer of crystals from the mafic to the felsic *** of amphiboles were determined from both the mafic and felsic zones that show linear compositional variation from actinolite to ferro-hornblende through magnesio-hornblende,suggesting the interplay of complex substitutions in individual amphibole *** schemes have confirmed the role of pargasite(Pg)-type substitution,which is a combination of edenite(Ed)-and tschermakite(Ts)-type ***,amphibole has been extensively replaced by titanite in the studied *** produced in the mafic zones due to the destabilization of amphiboles was observed migrating from the mafic to the felsic zones through mineral-trans-porting *** of titanite were determined from grains that occur in association with amphiboles and those which are present as individual entities in the felsic *** to amphiboles,titanite also displays cationic substitutions in the studied *** the results presented in this work,we infer that extensive replacement of amphibole by titanite and cationic substitutions in amphi-boles,and also titanite,may be considered important pet-rogenetic indicators to decipher magma mixing events.

Infection with the defective hepatitis D virus (HDV) co-infects or superinfects a patient carrying hepatitis B virus (HBV). Delta virus infection is relatively common. The seriousness of infection with the hepatitis D virus (HDV), a virus defective in a patient carrying the hepatitis B virus (HBV), lies in its aggravating effect on the associated viral hepatitis B. Our aim was to study the serological profile of HDV in HBsAg-positive patients. As this study was fragmentary, we initiated this study with the aim of investigating the serological profile of HDV in HBsAg-positive patients. This was a descriptive and analytical cross-sectional study that ran from March 2019 to February 2020, a 12-month period. It focused on the population of patients seen and screened positive for HBsAg. We obtained a frequency of 10%. The mean age of our patients was 41.8 ± 13.09 years. The sex ratio was 4.5. VHD RNA was detected in 50% of patients. In 100% of cases, the presence of VHD RNA was associated with advanced fibrosis according to the APRI score, but without any statistically significant link. All HBV-infected patients should be screened for anti-HDV Ac. HDV infection leads to rapid progression to complications of liver disease.

Gestational trophoblastic disease is an abnormal proliferation of trophoblastic tissue during pregnancy. It occurs in women of childbearing age, although a few cases have also been observed in post-menopausal women, although it is extremely rare in the latter. Here we describe a rare case of complete hydatidiform mole in a 56-year-old female patient who presented with genital bleeding combined with nausea and vomiting and a gravid uterus 16 cm in height. The ultrasound findings and the increase in serum β-HCG to 182566.00 mIU/ml suggested a diagnosis of complete hydatidiform mole. Given the post-menopausal state and the future risk of post-molar gestational trophoblastic neoplasia, we opted for total hysterectomy without preservation of the adnexa via a transabdominal approach, followed by antimitotic treatment with methotrexate. The uterus measured 18.45 cm × 11.18 cm with intra cavitary vesicles. Microscopic examination showed chorionic villi of variable size and shape, most of which were dilated and oedematous, associated with trophoblastic cell proliferation and haemorrhage suggestive of complete benign hydatidiform mole. Follow-up showed a consistent decrease in serum β-HCG levels and no evidence of residual disease. A suspicion of gestational trophoblastic disease should be borne in mind when evaluating a patient with peri- or post-menopausal bleeding to avoid delay in diagnosis and treatment.

Chronic hepatitis B causes a liver disease characterized by inflammation of the liver parenchyma. The aim of this study was to investigate the evolution of biological parameters in patients treated with Tenofovir for chronic B infection at the Commune V referral health center in Bamako. We obtained a prevalence of 14.15%. The most represented age group was 31 - 40 years, with 36.8%. The sex ratio was 1.44 in favour of men. Viral load was undetectable after 18 months of treatment in 25 patients (42.37%). Tenofovir, the 1st-line drug in Mali, is effective on the biological parameters monitored in patients.

Anal pathologies are conditions affecting the anal margin and the anal canal. The aim of our study was to update data on anal diseases. Non-specific, it can reveal an emergency, a serious illness, a chronic disease or a benign condition. It was a prospective, descriptive and analytical study from April 2022 to March 2023, carried out in the hepato-gastroenterology unit of the Centre de Santé de Référence de la commune V du District de Bamako in Mali. Out of seven hundred and forty-nine (749) patients seen in consultation, 98 had anal pathology, i.e. a prevalence of 13.08%. The mean age was 40 ± 15.15 years and the sex ratio was 1.5. Hemorrhoidal disease and anal fissure were the most frequent pathologies in 66.4% and 24.4% of cases respectively. Medical treatment was initiated in 91.9% of patients with hemorrhoidal disease and 91.7% with anal fissure. Anal pathologies are common in young male patients. In our context, they are dominated by benign conditions.

Mercury(Hg^(2+)),one of the most dangerous toxins in water,is a heavy metal that causes organ damage from both short-term and chronic *** methods for detecting mercury such as atomic absorption spectrometry or Raman spectroscopy require bulky equipment with complicated *** this work,we fabricated a highly sensitive,real-time thin-film sensor based on vertically aligned rhenium disulfide(ReS_(2)).Its outstanding large surface area and the unique electronic appearance of its layered architecture make a ReS_(2) nanosheet a strong contender for such an *** sensor exhibited a fast response speed(<2 s)to Hg^(2+)and an ultralow detection limit of 4 nM,which is significantly less than that of the *** Protection Agency's(***)allowed utmost contamination limit for Hg^(2+)in drinking water(10 nM).It also exhibited strong selectivity for Hg^(2+)against other metal ions such as Na^(+),Zn^(2+),Fe^(3+),Cu^(2+),Ca^(2+),Ni^(2+),Ag+,Cd^(2+),Fe^(2+),and Pb^(2+).Because this nanosheet can be replaced with any secondary substrate and possibly patterned into a microscale size,the sensor can be integrated into multiple platforms such as portable devices or sensor nodes in a grid network.
