Pityriasis rosea(PR) is a common erythemato-squamous dermatosis which almost always, is easily diagnosed. Mostly the disease presents in its classical form. However, clinical dermatology is all about variations and PR is not an exception. Variants of the disease in some cases may be troublesome to diagnose and confuse clinicians. Prompt diagnosis and treatment of the condition becomes necessary to avoid unnecessary investigations. We hereby review and illustrate atypical presentations of the disease, including diverse forms of location and morphology of the lesions, the course of the eruption, and its differential diagnoses.

Vaporizing foil actuator spot welding method is used in this paper to join magnesium alloy AZ31 and uncoated high-strength steel DP590,which are typically considered as un-weldable due to their high physical property disparities,low mutual solubility,and the lack of any intermetallic *** results from scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)of the weld interface indicate that the impact creates an Mg nanocrystalline interlayer with abundant Fe *** interlayer exhibits intact bonding with both DP590 and AZ31 *** investigate the fundamental bond formation mechanisms at the interface,a finite element(FE)-based process simulation is first performed to calculate the local temperature and deformation at the interface under the given macroscopic experimental *** the FE results at the interface as inputs,molecular dynamics(MD)simulations are conducted to study the interlayer formation at the Mg/Fe interface during the impact and *** results found a high velocity shearing-induced mechanical mixing mechanism that mixes Mg/Fe atoms at the interface and creates the interlayer,leading to the metallurgical bond between Mg/steel alloys.

As the fault‐based attacks are becoming a more pertinent threat in today's era of edge computing/internet‐of‐things,there is a need to streamline the existing tools for better accuracy and ease of use,so that we can gauge the attacker's power and a proper countermeasure can be devised in the long *** this regard,we propose a machine learning(ML)assisted tool that can be used in the context of a differential fault *** particular,finding the exact fault location by analysing the output difference(typically the XOR of the nonfaulty and the faulty ciphertexts)is somewhat *** the literature survey,we notice that the Pearson's correlation coefficient dominantly is used for this purpose,and has almost become the defacto *** this method can yield good accuracy for certain cases,we argue that an MLbased method is more powerful in all the situations we experiment *** sub-stantiate our claim by showing the relative performances(we choose the commonly used multilayer perceptron as our ML tool)with two variants of Grain‐128a(a stream cipher,and a stream cipher with authentication),the lightweight stream cipher LIZARD and the lightweight block cipher SIMON‐32(where the faults are injected at the fifth last rounds).Our results demonstrate that a common ML tool can outperform the correlation with the same training/testing *** believe that our work extends the state‐of‐the‐art by showing how traditional cryptographic methods can be replaced by a more powerful ML tool.

A phase II study of neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by organ preservation in patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer

Objective:Conservative approaches in muscle-invasive bladder cancer(MIBC)have been evolved to avoid aggressive surgery,but are limited to elderly,frail,and patients medically unfit for *** study aimed to assess the response rate of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NACT)before radiotherapy(RT)in MIBC ***:Forty patients with urothelial carcinoma of stage T2-T4a,N0,M0 were enrolled between November 2013 and November 2015,and treated with three cycles of NACT with ***-NACT response was assessed using Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors(RECIST)*** who achieved complete response(CR)and partial response(PR)>50%were treated with radical RT,and those who had PR50%or CR,and were treated with ***(12.5%)patients who had PR<50%,SD,or PD underwent *** patients who received radiation showed CR after 6 *** follow-up was 43 months(range:10-66 months)and median overall survival(OS)was not ***-year OS,local control,and disease-free survival were 70.1%,60.9%,50.6%,respectively,and 50%of patients preserved their functioning ***-year OS rate was 88.9%in patients who achieved CR to NACT,73.1%in patients with PR≥50%and 40%in patients with PR<50%.Conclusion:NACT followed by RT provides a high probability of local response with bladder preservation in CR *** use of this treatment regimen in carefully selected patients may omit the need for morbid surgery.

Obesity has become a global pandemic since the last few decades with prevalence in more than one-third of the population in the United States. Another concurrent global health concern is the declining trend in male fecundity in terms of semen quality. Male infertility etiology is multifactorial with obesity serving as one of the major causatives. An array of research is directed in unveiling the potential mechanism underlying the obesity-induced male subfertility or infertility. Obesity may alter the hormonal milieu of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis, its crosstalks with other metabolic hormones, upregulates secretion of adipose tissue-derived hormones and other factors, thus influencing the endocrine regulation of male reproduction. Obesity may also directly impair testicular functions by inducing genetic and epigenetic alterations in spermatozoa, disrupting sperm morphology and functions. Given the complexity of the condition of obesity and the multivariate etiopathology of male subfertility/ infertility, this review is aimed to provide an updated concept on how obesity mediated hormonal modulation may affect male fertility parameters.
