Ammonia volatilization is a major process of n （nitrogen） loss that affects the environment. The best way of capturing volatilized ammonia-n could be using zeolite as a good ion exchange medium before it gets either volatilized or nitrified. Thus, captured ammonia-n could be used as a source of inorganic nitrogen in ponds to promote algal production without adding additional organic carbon and BOD （biochemical oxygen demand）. The zeolite used for the study was a commercially available zeolite, （CLInZEX） which was a fine powder （CEC （cation exchange capacity） 3.9-4 meq/g）. The experiment was conducted to assess the difference between manure loaded system and zeolite loaded system in terms of water quality, TAn （total ammoniacal nitrogen） release and algal productivity. The difference between the BOD values recorded in both the controls and treatments utilizing chicken manure as source of manure-n remained mostly above 10 ppm. Similarly, the difference between mean COD （chemical oxygen demand） values of control and treatment tanks always remained above 7 ppm. All the experimental tanks loaded with zeolite samples from chicken manure showed range of variation in TAn values （0.018-0.08 mg/1）. The range of values of chlorophyll a （1,029-5,150 mg/m~） recorded in the treatment tanks was higher than the values （54.6-1347 mg/m3） of chlorophyll a in the control tanks. F-test analysis done using highest mean values of BOD, COD, TAn and chlorophyll a showed a highly significant （P 〈 0.01） variation between the treatment and control tanks and at the same time no significant variation was found between time intervals.

Objective: To assess the ability of the logistic EuroSCORE to predict long- term mortality of patients undergoing isolated Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement (SAVR). Methods: A retrospective review of all patients undergoing SAVR between September 1999, and March 2018 was done. Results: 2018 patients were eligible for inclusion in the study. Patients were grouped according to risk: low (n = 506), intermediate (n = 609), and high-risk (n = 903) depending on their logistic EuroSCORE values. The 30-day mortality of the low- risk group was 0.47%. The one-, five-, 10-, 15-, and 20-year mortality was 1.66%, 4.9%, 14.9%, 24.3%, and 43.8%, respectively. Intermediate-risk group 30-day mortality was 0.66%. The one-, five-, 10-, 15-, and 20-year mortality was 3.28%, 11.9%, 32%, 54.8%, and 82.6%, respectively. The 30-day mortality of the high- risk group was 3.99%. The one-, five-, 10-, 15-, and 20-year mortality was 8.2%, 27%, 55.4%, 78.6%, and 87%, respectively. Conclusion: Our results confirm that the lES is accurate in predicting long-term mortality outcomes of SAVR. This real-world data provides evidence of the potential usefulness of the EuroSCORE to help the heart team and patients decide on appropriate interventions for aortic stenosis.

This paper presents the wavelet collocation methods for the numerical ap- proximation of swing options for natural gas storage in a mean reverting market. The model is characterized by the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman （HJB） equations which only have the viscosity solution due to the irregularity of the swing option. The differential operator is formulated exactly and efficiently in the second generation interpolating wavelet setting. The convergence and stability of the numerical scheme are studied in the framework of viscosity solution theory. numerical experiments demonstrate the accuracy and computational efficiency of the methods.

近年来,由于世界重工业化进程的加剧,农业用地逐渐受到重金属污染。重金属铅毒害,对作物的产量有着极大的负面影响。很多现代化生产方式,比方说农药化肥的滥用,汽车尾气的排放以及矿产开采,这些都会潜在的对农业用地造成铅污染的毒害。由于铅元素对作物而言不是必需元素,所以土壤中即使含有少量的铅,也会对作物产生很大的毒害作用。研究发现,铅胁迫会导致作物产生ROS(活性氧),ROS会对植物细胞的重要组分,比如蛋白质、油脂以及核苷酸等,产生氧化胁迫的危害。不仅如此,铅毒害会抑制许多重要的细胞代谢酶的活性,其中影响最大的是光合代谢途径。植株通过不同的代谢途径,产生具有抗氧化能力的蛋白以及非蛋白物质,进而提高植株本身的耐毒性。不同基因型的烟草因为自身的遗传特性而不同,所以其抵抗重金属危害的能力不同,而且抗逆性与重金属污染的类别具有很大的关联。所以对烟草耐铅性的研究已经成为刻不容缓的事实,其中有效途径为寻找耐铅性较强的烟草品种,考察铅毒害对收集的不同基因型烟草品种生理活性指数的影响,以及各种可以缓解铅毒害的代谢途径,最终探寻有效的可以缓解铅毒害的方法。在这篇研究中,我们就致力于解决以上问题,也可以帮助我们了解烟草响应铅毒害的机理,最终挑选出可以在实际生产中应用的耐铅毒害的烟草基因型。1.铅毒害下,不同基因型烟草(nicotiana tabacum)各自的表型以及生理机制的变化。将七份不同基因型的烟草材料种植在含有不同铅浓度(Pb(nO3)2)的水培营养液中,结果表明,随着铅浓度的上升,植株生长指数以及光合作用强度都降低,植株中抗氧化酶的含量随着水培液中铅浓度的上升,都会显著提高。有趣的是,CAT的活性是降低的,并且,随着铅浓度的上升,不同基因型植株中MDA的含量显著上升。另外,烟草植株根以及叶片组织中铅的含量随着溶液中铅浓度的上升,含量也会随之上升。总而言之,我们发现,不同基因型的烟草品种响应铅毒害的机理,有着显著的区别。2.外源喷施乙酰半胱氨酸(nAC),对烟草植株铅毒害的缓解机理研究我们研究测试了乙酰半胱氨酸(nAC)对烟草铅毒害的缓解能力。分别用不同浓度的铅处理植株,并各自添加200或者300μM的nAC,以不添加nAC的处理作为对照。结果表明,随着铅浓度的提高,植株的生长受到抑制。但是,通过外源不同浓度nAC的添加(200和300btM),可以促进植株的生长,而在500μM的Pb(nO3)2的处理下,外源nAC的施加并没有促进植株的生长,但是可以增加植株中的光合色素的含量。在Pb(nO3)2的处理水平下,nAC对各种基因型烟草植株均有广泛的促进生长的作用,比如说增强植株光合代谢途径的能力。外源喷施nAC,同样可以增加植株体内SOD, APX以及CAT的活性,但是却降低了APX的活性。综上所述,nAC可以有效降低植株叶片中的铅浓度,进而增强植株抗铅毒害的能力。在Pb胁迫下,外源施用nAC也能够减少Pb对叶绿体超微结构的伤害保护光合器官的完整性。

This review aims to identify in vivo studies investigating the potential of plant substances and their natural molecules in managing inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).Specifically,the objective is to examine the impact of these substances on interleukins and other key inflammatory signaling *** articles published up to December 2022 were identified through a search of the PubMed,Scopus,Web of Science,and Embase *** search used keywords including“inflammatory bowel disease”,“medicinal plants”,“natural molecules”,“anti-inflammatory”,and“ulcerative colitis”,and identified 1,878 potentially relevant articles,of which 89 were included in this review after completion of the selection *** study provides preclinical data on natural products(nPs)that can potentially treat IBD,including ulcerative *** main actions of these nPs relate to their effects on nuclear factor kappa B(nF-κβ),the Janus kinase(JAK)/signal transducer and activator of transcription(STAT)signaling pathway,the regulation of T helper 17/regulatory T cells balance,and oxidative *** ability of these nPs to inhibit intestinal inflammation appears to be dependent on lowering levels of the pro-inflammatory cytokines tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TnF-α),interleukin(IL)-1β,and IL-17,via the Jun n-terminal kinase(JnK)1,nF-κβ-p65,and STAT3 *** addition,nPs were shown to reduce oxidative stress and the severity of ulcerative colitis,as well as increase the activity of antioxidant *** actions suggest that nPs represent a promising treatment for IBD,and potentially have greater efficacy and safety than current treatments.

Aims: Aim was to evaluate the anti-osteoporotic and anti-osteoarthritic activity of fresh water snail (Viviparous bengalensis) (VB) flesh extract (VBE) in experimental model. Settings and Design: Experimental osteoporosis (OSP) was developed in female Wistar rats by bilateral overectomy and Osteoarthritis (OA) was developed in male Wistar rats by bacterial collagenase injection. Methods and Material: VB was collected locally and authenticated, then homogenized in 3500 rpm × 15 mins and supernatant was collected. Rats were divided into-Group-1: Sham control, Group-2: OSP/OA control, Group-3: Standard (vitD3 200 mg·kg -1;p.o., calcium i.p. 1500 mg·kg -1?× 15 days in OSP and indomethacin 0.25 mg·kg-1, p.o. × 5 alternative days in OA), Group-4: VBE treated (1 gm·kg-1;p.o. × 15 days), Group-5: VBE treated (2 mg·kg-1;p.o. × 15 days). Anti-osteoporotic and anti-osteoarthritic activity of VBE was examined through physical, urinary and serum parameters. Statistical use: Data were expressed in terms of mean ± SEM (n = 6). AnOVA was performed, p Key findings: It was observed that the body weight, ankle/ knee diameters, urinary markers hydroxyproline/glucosamine/calcium/phosphate/creatinine, serum ACP/ALP/TRAP, calcium/creatinine, cytokines (TnF-α/IL-1β/CInC-1) levels were changed significantly and restored after VBE treatment. Significance: Fresh water snail flesh extract possess anti-osteoporosis and anti-osteoarthritic activity in experimental animal models.

The good quality CuInGaSe2 (CIGS) thin film solar cells were fabricated on molybdenum metal coated soda lime glass substrate. Three-stage co-evaporation method was utilized for the fabrication of high quality p-type CIGS thin film absorber layer. Further, n-type CdS layer, high resistive intrinsic ZnO layer and transparent conducting AlZnO layers were fabricated by CBD method and vacuum sputtering methods. We made three various top metal sandwich grid patterns, i.e. Al, Al/Cu and Cu/Al which were utilized to investigate the metal sandwich layer oriented efficiency enhancement superiority on CuInGaSe2 thin film solar cells. The investigated specific CIGS solar cell device efficiency with respect to various top metal grid sandwich patterns is presented and discussed.

Antiviral effects of a synthetic Aluminium-Magnesium Silicate, on Avian Influenza Virus

Effects a synthetic Aluminium-Magnesium Silicate [AMS] has on Avian Influenza Virus (AIV) were tested. Equal amounts of AIV samples and of the AMS were mixed, kept one hour at room temperature before centrifuging. The supernatants were remeasured and tested for, viral titre, Mean Death Time (MDT) and Mortality Rate of chicken Embryos (EMR). Volumes of the viral samples reduced at rate of 23.4% ± 5.48%. Viral titres reduced significantly (P nfected chicken embryos reduced from 100% to 65%, while MDT of those that died,increased significantly (P n incubation with AMS was repeated on portions of an AIV sample, MDT increased from 64 to 104 hours with the portion incubated once. AIV portions on which incubation with AMS was repeated could not kill chicken embryos.

Microorganisms including bacteria,viruses,protozoa,and fungi living in the gastrointestinal tract are collectively known as the gut *** is the imbalance in microbial composition on or inside the body relative to healthy *** Firmicutes to Bacteroidetes ratio and decreased abundance of Akkermansia muciniphila are the predominant gut dysbiosis associated with the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and metabolic *** mechanisms linking gut dysbiosis,and metabolic diseases and their complications include altered metabolism of short-chain fatty acids and bile acids,interaction with gut hormones,increased gut microbial metabolite trimethylamine-n-oxide,bacterial translocation/Leaky gut syndrome,and endotoxin production such as *** association between the gut microbiota and glycemic agents,however,is much less understood and is the growing focus of research and *** studies suggest that the gut microbiota and anti-diabetic medications are interdependent on each other,meaning that while anti-diabetic medications alter the gut microbiota,the gut microbiota also alters the efficacy of anti-diabetic *** increasing evidence regarding the significance of gut microbiota,it is imperative to review the role of gut microbiota in the pathogenesis of *** review also discusses the interaction between gut microbiota and the various medications used in the treatment of T2DM.
