Litterf.ll is the largest sourc. of.nutrients to f.r-est soils of.tropic.l ***,variability in lit-terf.ll produc.ion,nutrient remobilization,and c.anges in leaf.nutrient c.nc.ntration with c.imate seasonality remain largely unknown f.r the c.ntral *** study meas-ured litterf.ll produc.ion,leaf.nutrient remobilization,and leaf.area index on a f.rest plateau in the c.ntral *** was measured at monthly intervals during 2014,while nitrogen,phosphorus,potassium,c.lc.um and mag-nesium c.nc.ntrations of.leaf.litter and c.nopy leaves were measured in the dry and rainy seasons,and remobilization rates *** area index was also rec.rded in the dry and rainy *** litterf.ll varied f.om 33.2(in the rainy season)to 87.6 g m^(-2) in the dry season,while leaf.area index inc.eased slightly in the rainy *** seasonality had no ef.ec. on c.nc.ntrations of.nitrogen,c.lc.um,and magnesium,whereas phosphorous and potassium responded to rainf.ll seasonality *** phosphorous inc.eased,potassium dec.eased during the dry *** seasons,nitrogen,potassium,and phosphorous dec.eased in leaf.litter;c.lc.um inc.eased in leaf.litter,while magnesium remained unaf.ec.ed with leaf.***,the f.ve nutrients had similar remobilization rates over the *** absenc. of.c.imate seasonality on nutrient remobilization suggests that the c.rrent length of.the dry season does not alter nutrient remobilization rates but this may c.ange as dry periods bec.me more prolonged in the f.ture due to c.imate c.ange.

We apply stoc.astic.seismic.inversion and Bayesian f.c.es c.assif.c.tion f.r porosity modeling and igneous roc. identif.c.tion in the presalt interval of.the Santos Basin. This integration of.seismic.and well-derived inf.rmation enhanc.s reservoir c.arac.erization. Stoc.astic.inversion and Bayesian c.assif.c.tion are powerf.l tools bec.use they permit addressing the unc.rtainties in the model. We used the ES-MDA algorithm to ac.ieve the realizations equivalent to the perc.ntiles P10, P50, and P90 of.ac.ustic.impedanc., a novel method f.r ac.ustic.inversion in presalt. The f.c.es were divided into f.ve: reservoir 1,reservoir 2, tight c.rbonates, c.ayey roc.s, and igneous roc.s. To deal with the overlaps in ac.ustic.impedanc. values of.f.c.es, we inc.uded geologic.l inf.rmation using a priori probability, indic.ting that struc.ural highs are reservoir-dominated. To illustrate our approac., we c.nduc.ed porosity modeling using f.c.es-related roc.-physic. models f.r roc.-physic. inversion in an area with a well drilled in a c.quina bank and evaluated the thic.ness and extension of.an igneous intrusion near the c.rbonate-salt interf.c.. The modeled porosity and the c.assif.ed seismic.f.c.es are in good agreement with the ones observed in the wells. Notably, the c.quinas bank presents an improvement in the porosity towards the top. The a priori probability model was c.uc.al f.r limiting the c.ayey roc.s to the struc.ural lows. In Well B, the hit rate of.the igneous roc. in the three sc.narios is higher than 60%, showing an exc.llent thic.ness-predic.ion c.pability.

Initial Study of.Elec.rospinning Pc./PLLA Blends

The proc.ss of.elec.rospinning is c.nsidered one of.the most promising methods f.r the f.bric.tion of.poly- mer nanof.bers. This essentially c.nsists of.applying a high elec.ric.f.eld, whic. c.uses stretc.ing of.the polymer whic. exits through a c.pillary. Among the numerous applic.tions of.this proc.ss, elec.rospinning allows the f.bric.tion of.semic.nduc.or and c.nduc.ive nanof.bers f.om mixtures or solutions, whic. have great potential f.r applic.tions in sensors and the f.bric.tion of.sc.f.olds f.r c.ll growth. The aim of.this work was to analyze the properties of.the blend, produc.s by the elec.rospinning of.the Pc. and PLLA solu- tion, with the f.c.s to generate a promissory sc.f.old. Pc. is a semi-c.ystalline aliphatic.polymer that has a slower degradation rate 12 - 24 months. It has a low glass transition temperature at –60?c. a melting tem-perature at about 60?c. and a high thermal stability. Properties of.PLA depend on the c.mponent isomers, proc.ssing temperature, annealing time and molec.lar weight. Thus were used Pc., f.om Aldric., with Mw of.80,000 g/mol, and PLLA, sintered in laboratory, with Mw of.240,000 g/mol, were dissolved in c.lorof.rm (c.c.3, Merc.) and ac.tone (Synth) by stirring f.r 6 hours. The solution was elec.rospinning f.r 1 hour us- ing the equipment made in the laboratory, the voltage used was 13 kv, the rate of.0.5 ml/h and an approxi- mate distanc. f.om the tip of.the needle to the c.llec.or of.12 c.. The morphology of.the samples was ob- served by images made with sc.nning elec.ron mic.osc.py (SEM) and also was analyzed by f.-IR and DSc.

Tannin was extrac.ed f.om dif.erent subspec.es of.Ac.c.a nilotic.,Ac.c.a nilotic. nilotic.(Ann),Ac.c.a nilotic. tomentosa(Ant)and Ac.c.a nilotic. adansonii(Ana).The aim was to eluc.date their struc.ure and evaluate their reac.ivity as bioadhesives in the wood *** extrac.s were prepared by hot water extrac.ion(90°c.tem-perature).Their gel time with paraf.rmaldehyde was used atﬁrst to c.mpare their *** tannin c.ntents and the perc.ntage of.total polyphenolic.materials in dif.erent solutions of.the extrac.s spray dried powder were determined by the hide powder *** solutions(47%)were tested by both MALDI Tof.*** thermomec.anic.l analysis(TMA)was perf.rmed to evaluate their modulus of.elastic.ty(MOE)at dif.erent *** gel times of.all the three tannin extrac.s showed that their reac.ivity and it was c.m-parable to other known proc.anidin/prodelphinidin tannin extrac. ***,Ann and Ant showed highest per-c.nt of.total polyphenolic.materials at 70%,64%,and 57%,*** 13c.MR spec.ra showed that the three subspec.es of.c.ndensed tannins were mainly c.nstituted of.proc.anidins(Pc.and prodelphinidins(PD)in slightly dif.erent ***(56.5%Pc.and 43.4%PD),Ant(57%Pc.and 43%PD)and Ana(58%Pc.and 42%PD).MALDI–TOf.spec.ra showed the presenc. of.avonoid monomers,and oligomers some of.whic. linked to short c.rbohydrates monomers or *** revealed that the three types of.tannins had high MOE at their initial pH(5).
