The aim of this research was to determine the effect of three organic manures (vermicompost, simple compost, compost with gypsum) with four different levels, as sources of fertilization, and mixed with river sand, this was used as an inert material, on the phenolic content, antioxidant capacity and total soluble solids of bell peppers (Capsicum annuum L.). The 12 mixtures formulated, with eight replications, were distributed in a completely randomized design. Data were statistically analyzed by analysis of variance and means were compared by test Tukeysub>5%sub>. All variables were significantly affected (p ≤ 0.001). Fruits with highest phenolic content were developed in the mixtures M2, M5 and M6 with 538.76, 541.54 and 565.04 mg GAE·100 kgsup>-1sup> DW, respectively. Antioxidant capacity of fruits was increased with mixtures M2, M5, M6 and M7 with values of 934.48, 942.04, 921.69 and 924.17 μM TEAC·gsup>-1sup> DW, respectively. The soluble solids content was higher in mixtures M1 and M2 with values of 4.93 and 4.97 °Brix, respectively. It was concluded that the variables studied were favored when applying, as sources of fertilization, mixtures of these organic manures with river sand, which could represent a suitable alternative for food production with quality nutraceutical.

Non-Painful Peripheral Inflammation Blocks Conditioned Place-Preference to Morphine and Nicotine through an Ibuprofen-sensitive and an Ibuprofen Insensitive Pathway

The field of neuroimmunology has expanded in recent years providing new insights and therapies into pathologies like stroke, autism, and depression. However, few works explore the relationship between inflammatory stimuli and motivation. Thus, the aim of this study was to determine how non-painful inflammatory stimuli affect reward. To test reward-response, we used the morphine and the nicotine induced conditioned place-preference and place-aversion model in rats with non-painful inflammation. The following inflammatory models were used: non-painful infectious inflammation: 24 hrs prior to conditioning sessions, an injection with Calmette-Guerin bacillus (CGB) 1 × 107 cfu, ip, was administered. Non-painful non-infectious inflammation: 24 hrs prior to conditioning sessions, rats’ sciatic nerve was blocked and cut, followed by the injection of carrageenan (750 μl) in the paw. We then measured the cytokine concentration to determine the inflammatory profile of each of our models. Finally, we administered ibuprofen to determine if it could prevent the effect of inflammation over conditioned place-preference. We show that carrageenan significantly reduced the morphine-induced reward. Non-painful inflammatory stimulus, CGB and denervation + carrageenan, inhibit the conditioned place-preference to morphine and nicotine, CGB also block conditioned place-aversion to nicotine;carrageenan has no effect on CPA. The administration of ibuprofen reinstates conditioned place-preference to morphine and nicotine in the carrageenan model, but has no effect in the CGB model;finally ibuprofen has no effect on CPA. Our data suggest that non-painful-inflammatory stimuli inhibit the reward system, independent of cytokine concentration. Furthermore, the administration of a PGE 2 inhibitor can importantly modulate this phenomenon.

非小细胞肺癌(non-small cell lung cancer,NsCLC)约占肺癌总病例数的80%-85%,对于Ⅲ期患者来说,NsCLC约占肺癌总病例数的40%。不可切除Ⅲ期NsCLC的治疗为以铂类为基础的化疗联合胸部放疗。本文将综述正在研发中且有可能用于联合治疗的新型靶向制剂。其中最具前景的策略之一为表皮生长因子受体(epidermal growth factor receptor,EGFR)通路的抑制。放疗可激活EGFR信号,通过诱导细胞增殖并增强DNA修复而导致放疗抵抗。几项临床前模型研究表明西妥昔单抗与放疗联合具有协同效应。几项Ⅱ期试验评估了西妥昔单抗与放疗同步使用的安全性与疗效,结果喜人。吉非替尼对多种细胞系具有放疗增敏作用,其与放疗的联合已被试验用于不可切除Ⅲ期NsCLC的治疗。然而,放化疗后使用吉非替尼作为维持治疗的结果不容乐观。一项Ⅰ期试验评估了厄洛替尼与放化疗联合的疗效。放疗可通过损伤细胞膜、DNA以及微血管内皮细胞而诱导肿瘤死亡,而这反过来可增加促血管生成生长因子的产生。抗血管生长制剂可降低血管密度,但可改善肿瘤的含氧量。应用血管内皮生长因子受体(vascular endothelial growth factor receptor,VEGFR)抑制剂可通过阻断亚致死量辐射损伤的修复而增强放疗对人NsCLC的疗效。厄洛替尼、贝伐珠单抗与胸部放疗联合试验正在进行中。该三种药物联合治疗的新策略尚需制订。由于放疗可增强HsP90分子伴侣的功能从而引起肺癌细胞的放疗抵抗,此通路的阻断剂可通过抑制HIF-1a和VEGF的表达进而抑制肺癌细胞的生存和血管生成,因而可能用于减少放疗抵抗。在NsCLC和间皮瘤的临床前模型中,Aurora激酶抑制剂似乎对放疗具有增效作用。

Dothideomycetes comprise a highly diverse range of fungi characterized mainly by asci with two wall layers(bitunicate asci)and often with fissitunicate *** species are saprobes,with many asexual states comprising important plant *** are also endophytes,epiphytes,fungicolous,lichenized,or lichenicolous *** occur in terrestrial,freshwater and marine habitats in almost every part of the *** accept 105 families in Dothideomycetes with the new families Anteagloniaceae,Bambusicolaceae,Biatriosporaceae,Lichenoconiaceae,Muyocopronaceae,Paranectriellaceae,Roussoellaceae,salsugineaceae,seynesiopeltidaceae and Thyridariaceae introduced in this *** family is provided with a description and notes,including asexual and asexual states,and if more than one genus is included,the type genus is also *** family is provided with at least one figure-plate,usually illustrating the type genus,a list of accepted genera,including asexual genera,and a key to these genera.A phylogenetic tree based on four gene combined analysis add support for 64 of the families and 22 orders,including the novel orders,Dyfrolomycetales,Lichenoconiales,Lichenotheliales,Monoblastiales,Natipusillales,Phaeotrichales and *** paper is expected to provide a working document on Dothideomycetes which can be modified as new data comes to *** is hoped that by illustrating types we provide stimulation and interest so that more work is carried out in this remarkable group of fungi.
