In this note we first introduce the finite weak Herstein condition, which is a property that holds for every finite field. For a field F satisfying the finite weak Herstein condition, we then characterize whether all the finite-dimensional division F-algebras are commutative. This gives an alternate proof of Wedderburn＇s Theorem.

The tensile behaviour of near a Ti3Al2.5 V alloy,conceived for applications in aerospace and automotive engineering,is characterized from quasi-static to high strain *** material is found to present noticeable strain rate *** dynamic true strain rate in the necking cross-section reaches values up to ten times higher than the nominal strain *** is also observed that beyond necking the dynamic true stress-strain curves present limited rate *** experimental results at different strain rates are used to determine a suitable constitutive model for finite element simulations of the dynamic tensile *** model predicts the experimentally macroscopic force-time response,true stress-strain response and effective strain rate evolution with good agreement.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a highly prevalent disorder affecting an estimated 152 million men worldwide and isassociated with a variety of behavioral risk factors, such as cigarette smoking and excessive alcohol consumption, aswell as numerous age - related medical conditions, notably type-2 diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease. A ratio-nal step - wise approach which includes comprehensive medical and sexual history, a focused physical examination andessential laboratory tests such as fasting glucose, lipid profile and testosterone assay is to be preferred. Current diagnos-tic work - up does not recommend any of the specialized tests which were previously considered mandatory-i. e. penilepharmacotesting, Duplex ultrasound and nocturnal penile tumescence. Hormonal replacement therapy is appropriate onlyin the hypogonadal male with ED. Prior to direct intervention, the physician should consider altering modifiable riskfactors or causes, although frequently insufficient to reverse ED completely. When indicated, oral therapy with newmolecules (phosphodiesterase inhibitors or apomorphine) is the first - line treatment for the majority of patients becauseof potential benefits and lack of invasiveness. Colorectal cancer(CRC) is a major cause of cancer death worldwide. CRC has poor prognosis and there is a crucial need for new diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers to avoid CRC-related deaths. CRC can be considered a sporadic disease in most cases(75%-80%), but it has been suggested that crosstalk between gene mutations(i.e., mutations of BRAF, KRAS, and p53 as well as microsatellite instability) and epigenetic alterations(i.e., DNA methylation of Cp G island promoter regions) could play a pivotal role in cancer development. A number of studies have focused on molecular testing to guide targeted and conventional treatments for patients with CRC, sometimes with contrasting results. Some of the most useful innovations in the management of CRC include the possibility to detect the absence of KRAS, BRAF, NRAS and PIK3 CA gene mutations with the subsequent choice to administer targeted adjuvant therapy with anti-epidermal growth factor receptor antibodies. Moreover, CRC patients can benefit from tests for microsatellite instability and for the detection of loss of heterozygosity of chromosome 18 q that can be helpful in guiding therapeutic decisions as regards the administration of 5-FU. The aim of this review was to summarize the most recent evidence on the possible use of genetic or epigenetic biomarkers for diagnosis, prognosis and response to therapy in CRC patients.

Let A and G be finite groups and suppose that A acts coprimely on G via automorphisms. We show that if 4 divides no A-invariant conjugacy class size of G, then G is solvable. We also characterize the A-invariant structure of G under certain arithmetical conditions on the set of A-invariant class sizes of G by means of the fixed point subgroup, some of which imply the solvability of G. Thus, we extend, for coprime action, several results appeared in the literature on class sizes.

Large ground-based laser beam interferometers are presently in operation both in the USA （LIGO） and in Europe （VIRGO） and potential sources that might be detected by these instruments are revisited. The present generation of detectors does not have a sensitivity high enough to probe a significant volume of the universe and, consequently, predicted event rates are very low. The planned advanced generation of interferometers will probably be able to detect, for the first time, a gravitational sig- nal. Advanced LIGO and EGO instruments are expected to detect few （some）： binary coalescences consisting of either two neutron stars, two black holes or a neutron star and a black hole. In space, the sensitivity of the planned LISA spacecraft constellation will allow the detection of the gravitational signals, even within a ＂pessimistic＂ range of possible signals, produced during the capture of compact objects by supermassive black holes, at a rate of a few tens per year.

The requirements for automotive lighting systems,especially the light patterns ensuring driver perception,are based on criteria related to the headlamps,rather than the light perceived by drivers and road ***,important factors such as pavement reflectance,driver age,or time of night,are largely *** factors such as presence of other vehicles,vehicle speed and weather conditions are considered by the Adaptive Driving Beam(ADB)and Adaptive Front-lighting System(AFS)respectively,though with no information regarding the visual perception of drivers and other road ***,it is simpler to simulate and measure the light emitted by the lamps than the light reflected by the pavement or emitted by other *** the current technology in cameras and light sensors,communication protocols,and control of Light Emitting Diodes(LED),combined with decision-making techniques applied to large amounts of data,can open a new era in the operation of headlamps and thus ensure the visual needs of drivers in real time and under actual road *** solution lies in an interaction road-sensor-headlamp,which is not based on the light emitted by headlamps,but rather on the light perceived by the *** study thus proposes a dual grid based on luminance and luminous intensity,which would manage the headlamps by optimizing driver perception and the safety of all road users.

The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of ionic liquid treated lignin-based polyacid as a catalyst for urea-formaldehyde(UF)*** of lignin was carried out,without any catalyst,with anhydride maleic and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hydrogen sulfate[Bmim][HSO 4]as acidic ionic liquid to form maleated lignin-based polyacids(MA-IL).The performance of MA-IL as UF resin catalyst was respectively compared to hyroxymethylated lignin-based polyacid(MA-HL)and to NH 4 *** FTIR analysis indicated that the propor-tion of-COOH and C-O bonds increased due to the esterification of lignin with ionic liquid rather than its *** tests indicated that the gelation time of the UF resin was shorter by adding MA-IL when compared to NH 4 Cl and MA-HL,*** analysis showed that the addition of MA-IL significantly decreased the temperature peak(Tp)of the UF resin;as the Tp of the UF resin with 2 wt%MA-IL was lower than with MA-HL and NH 4 Cl,*** panel test results of plywood bonded with a UF resin with a MA-IL level increasing from 1%to 3%,effectively improved the mechanical strength,water resistance and formaldehyde emission even higher than with MA-HL and NH 4 Cl,respectively.
