The aim of this work is to study the solution of the smoothed particle hydrodynamics(SPH)discrete formulation of the hydrostatic problem with a free *** problem,in which no time dependency is considered,takes the form of a system of linear *** particular,the problem in one dimension is *** focus is set on the convergence when both the particle spacing and the smoothing length tend to zero by keeping constant their *** of this ratio of the order of one,corresponding to a limited number of neighbors,are of practical ***,the problem in which each particle has one single neighbor at each side is *** explicit expressions of the numerical solution and the quadratic error are provided in this *** expression of the quadratic error demonstrates that the SPH solution does not converge to the exact one in general under the specified *** this case,the error converges to a residue,which is in general large compared to the norm of the exact *** cases with two and three neighbors are also *** analytical study in the case of two neighbors is performed,showing how the kernel influences the accuracy of the solution through modifying the condition number of the referred system of linear *** addition to that,a numerical investigation is carried out using several Wendland kernel *** two and three neighbors are involved it is found that the error tends in most cases to a small limiting value,different from zero,while divergent solutions are also found in the case of two neighbors with the Wendland Kernel *** cases with more neighbors are also *** general,the Wendland Kernel c2 turns out to be the worst choice,as the solution is divergent for certain values of the ratio between the particle spacing and the smoothing length,associated with an ill-conditioned matrix.

Trace elements, isotopic modeling and U-Th-Pb SHRIMP zircon age constraints are used to reconstruct the eruption history and magmatic processes of the Piedra Parada caldera. In the early Eocene, the crystal-poor Barda colorada ignimbrite(BcI), having >>15% micro-porphyritic crystals with respect to magmatic components, erupted a volume estimated in more than 300 km^3. The Piedra Parada caldera is located in the Patagonian Andes foreland, at the southern end of the calderas field of the Pilcaniyeu Volcanic Belt(PVB). This belt is related to an extensional tectonic setting as a result of the collision of the Farallon-Aluk ridge with South America, which enabled the development of a transform ocean/continental plate margin followed by the detachment of the Aluk plate and the opening of a slab window. The BcI extra-caldera Plateau is a >100 m thick deposit, having a lower unit with high silica(Si O_2> 76 wt.%),potassium poor rhyolitic composition(trondhjemitic like magma), and an upper unit with normal to high potassium rhyolitic composition(granitic like magma). A trace elements modeling of the BcI units shows that the BcI lower and upper units did not evolve from fractionation or immiscibility in the shallow magma reservoir. The BcI also have a primitive isotopic signature(initial87 Sr/86 Sr =0.7031-0.7049 and ε_(Nd)= +3.4 to +3.65). Thus, tectonic, compositional and isotopic constraints suggest the fast ascent of high silica magmas to a shallow reservoir, and point to an upper mantle origin for these rhyolitic magmas in a transitional(Orogenic-Anorogenic) tectono-magmatic setting. U-Th-Pb SHRIMP zircon crystallization ages of the Syn-caldera stage BcI units(56 -51.5 Ma) show a protracted life of 5 Ma for this caldera reservoir. The age of 52.9 ± 0.3 Ma is considered the best fit for the possible maximum age for the caldera collapse. The development of a new generation of nonantibody protein drug delivery systems requires site-directed conjugation strategies to produce homogeneous,reproducible and scalable *** that,the genetic addition of cysteine residues into solvent-exposed positions allows the thiol-mediated cysteine coupling of therapeutic drugs into protein-based ***,the high reactivity of unpaired cysteine residues usually reduces protein stability,consequently imposing the use of more methodologically demanding purification *** is especially relevant for disulfide-containing nanocarriers,as previously observed in ***,although many protein scaffolds and targeting ligands are also rich in disulfide bridges,the use of these methodologies over emerging non-antibody carrier proteins has been completely ***,we report the development of a simple and straightforward procedure for a onestep production and site-directed cysteine conjugation of disulfide-containing non-antibody thiolated carrier proteins(THIOcAPs).This method is validated in a fluorescent c-X-c chemokine receptor 4(cXcR4)-targeted multivalent nanocarrier containing two intramolecular disulfide bridges and one reactive cysteine residue strategically placed into a solvent-exposed position(THIO-T22-GFP-H6)for drug conjugation and in a humanized alternative intended for clinical applications(T22-HSNBT-H6).Thus,we produce very stable,homogeneous and fully functional antitumoral nanoconjugates(THIO-T22-GFP-H6-MMAE and T22-HSNBT-H6-MMAE)that selectively eliminate target cancer cells via ***,the developed methodology appears as a powerful tool for the rational engineering of emerging non-antibody,cell-targeted protein nanocarriers that contain disulfide bridges together with a solvent-exposed reactive cysteine(THIOcAP).This should pave the way for the development of a new generation of stable,homogeneous and efficient nanomedicines.

The biosynthesis and wall-binding of hemicelluloses in cellulose-deficient maize cells:An example of metabolic plasticity

cell-suspension cultures（Zea mays L.,Black Mexican sweet corn） habituated to 2,6-dichlorobenzonitrile（dcB） survive with reduced cellulose owing to hemicellulose network modification. We aimed to de fine the hemicellulose metabolism modifications in dcB-habituated maize cells showing a mild reduction in cellulose at different stages in the culture cycle. Using pulse-chase radiolabeling, we fed habituated and non-habituated cultures with [3H]arabinose,and traced the distribution of 3H-pentose residues between xylans, xyloglucans and other polymers in several cellular compartments for 5 h. Habituated cells were slower taking up exogenous [3H]arabinose. Tritium was incorporated into polysaccharide-bound arabinose and xylose residues, but habituated cells diverted a higher proportion of their new [3H]xylose residues into（hetero） xylans at the expense of xyloglucan synthesis. during logarithmic growth, habituated cells showed slower vesicular traf ficking of polymers,especially xylans. Moreover, habituated cells showed a decrease in the strong wall-binding of all pentose-containing polysaccharides studied; correspondingly, especially in log phase cultures, habituation increased the proportion of 3H-hemicelluloses（[3H]xylans and [3H]xyloglucan） sloughed into the medium. These findings could be related to the cel walls’ cellulose-deficiency, and consequent reduction in binding sites for hemicelluloses; the data could also re fl ect the habituated cells’ reduced capacity to integrate arabinox ylans by extra-protoplasmic phenolic cross-linking, as well as xyloglucans, during wall assembly.

The full constellation of chinese Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)Bei dou-3 has been deployed completely and started fully operational *** addition to providing global Positioning,Navigation and Timing(PNT)services,the Bei dou-3 satellites transmissions can also be used as the sources of illumination for Earth Observation(EO)with a bistatic radar *** innovative EO concept,known as GNSS reflectometry(GNSS-R),allows to measure the Earth surface characteristics at high resolution via the reflected L-band radar signals collected by a constellation of small,low cost and low Earth orbiting *** the first time in orbit,earth reflected Bei dou-3 signal has been detected from the limited sets of raw data collected by the NASA’s cyclone GNSS(cYGNSS)*** feasibility of spaceborne Bei dou-3 reflections on two typical applications,including sea surface wind and flooding inundation detection,has been *** methodology and results give new strength to the prospect of new spaceborne GNSS-R instruments and missions,which can make multi-GNSS reflectometry observations available to better capture rapidly changing weather systems at better spatio-temporal scales.

Long cOVId has been studied as different sequelae that some individuals can develop after the acute phase of the disease. Persistent symptoms such as dry cough, fatigue, and dyspnea can remain after six months of cOVId-19 cure. Others such as lung fibrosis, kidney injury, and thrombotic risk also are observed. Here, a deep review of each human organ and system infected by the virus was performed aiming to show how molecules expression and cell signaling can induce the organism cure or injuries and, subsequently sequelae. The review also suggests the importance of public health surveillance for these cases including a more comprehensive analysis of molecular biology tools that can clarify and assist in the prognosis, treatment, and preventive methods for potentially more serious disorders in post-cOVId-19 patients.

BAcKGROUNd Primary sclerosing cholangitis(PSc)manifests within a broad ethnic and racial spectrum,reflecting different levels of access to health *** To evaluate the clinical profile,complications and survival rates of patients with PSc undergoing liver transplantation(LTx)at a Brazilian reference *** All patients diagnosed with PSc before or after LTx were *** medical records were reviewed for demographic and clinical variables,including outcomes and *** level of statistical significance was set at Pcohort represented 1.6%(n=34)of the 2113 patients receiving liver grafts at our service over the past two *** were male(n=19;56%).The average age(40±14 years)was similar for men and women(P=0.347).The mean follow-up time from diagnosis to LTx was 68 *** patients had the classic form of *** women had PSc/autoimmune hepatitis overlap syndrome,and one patient had small-duct *** phosphatase levels at diagnosis and pre-LTx model for end-stage liver *** were significantly higher in *** bowel research(IBd)was investigated by colonoscopy in 26/34(76%)and was present in most cases(18/26;69%).IBd was less common in women than in men(44.4%vs.55.6%)(P=0.692).cholangiocarcinoma(ccA)was diagnosed in 2/34(5.9%)patients by histopathology of the explant(survival:3 years 6 mo,and 4 years 11 mo).Two patients had complications requiring a second LTx(one after 7 d due to hepatic artery thrombosis and one after 17 d due to primary graft dysfunction).Five patients(14.7%)developed biliary *** overall median post-LTx survival was 66 *** deaths occurred in the first year(infection n=2,primary liver graft dysfunction n=3,unknown cause n=1).The 1-year and 5-year survival rates of this cohort were 82.3%and 70.6%,respectively,matching the mean overall survival rates of LTx patients at our center(87.1%and 69.43%,respectively)(P=0.83).cONcLUSION Survival after 1 and 5 years was simil

Esophagitis and its causes:Who is “guilty” when acid is found “not guilty”?

Esophagitis is mainly a consequence of gastroesophageal reflux disease, one of the most common diseases affecting the upper digestive tract. However the esophageal mucosa can also be targeted by some infectious, systemic or chemical conditions. Eosinophilic esophagitis(Eo E) is an immune-mediated inflammatory disease, characterized by eosinophilic infiltration in the mucosa. Esophageal localization of crohn's disease is not very common, but it should always be considered in patients with inflammatory bowel disease complaining of upper digestive tract symptoms. There are also forms of infectious esophagitis(e.g., Herpes simplex virus or candida albicans) occurring in patients with a compromised immune system, either because of specific diseases or immunosuppressive therapies. Another kind of damage to esophageal mucosa is due to drug use(including oncologic chemotherapeutic regimens and radiotherapy) or caustic ingestion, usually of alkaline liquids, with colliquative necrosis and destruction of mucosa within a few seconds. dysphagia is a predominant symptom in Eo E, while infectious, drug-induced and caustic damages usually cause chest pain and odynophagia. Endoscopy can be useful for diagnosing esophagitis, although no specific pattern can be identified. In conclusion when a patient refers upper gastrointestinal tract symptoms and the diagnosis of gastro-esophageal reflux disease is not convincing we should always carefully investigate the patient's clinical history to consider possibilities other than the gastric refluxate.
