Introduction: Endoscopic endonasal surgery is currently a validated therapeutic modality in most nasal sinus disorders. In developed countries, this practice is common and sees the indications constantly reviewed;In sub-Saharan Africa, this surgical technique is popularized. The external pathways are morbid and not very functional. In our daily practice at the Yaounde General Hospital (YGH), this technique is still in its infancy. Gradually it’s entering our habits and sees its indications increases. Through this study, we are reporting readily available data from our experience. Objectives: The objective was to study the practice of endoscopic endonasal surgery in our setting. Patients and Method: This was a cross-sectional, descriptive, retrospective study. The site of study was the ear-nose and throat service of Yaounde General Hospital. The study was conducted from January 2013 to December 2020, for an 8 years basis. The sampling was consecutive. We included in this study all patients operated on for a nasal sinus disease by the endoscopic endonasal modality. We excluded patients with incomplete files, as well as those who had a complementary transfacial approach during the same operation. The data were collected on prepared questionnaire. Data analysis is done with ssps 23.0 software. Results: We recruited 30 cases, out of a total of 330 interventions carried out in our department. The prevalence of this surgery in our activity was 9%. Male and female had equal ratio of 50%. The most represented age group was 30 - 40 years (33.3%). All the patients had a facial sinus CT scan, we did not note any anatomical variant as risk. Two patients of our sample size had a history of sinus surgery, treated externally. Chronic maxillary sinusitis was the surgical indication in 36.7%, followed by Killian antro-choanal polyps in 13.3%, nasosinus polyposis in 13.3% and all performed under general anesthesia. Th

Mg-air batteries have attracted tremendous attention as a potential next-generation power source for portable electronics and e-transportation due to their remarkable high theoretical volumetric energy density,environmental sustainability,and ***,the fast hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)in NaCl-based aqueous electrolytes impairs the performance of Mg-air batteries and leads to poor specific capacity,low energy density,and low ***,the conventionally used NaCl solute was proposed to be replaced by NaNO_(3)and acetic acid additive as a corrosion inhibitor,therefore an electrolyte engineering for long-life time Mg-air batteries is *** resulting Mg-air batteries based on this optimized electrolyte demonstrate an improved discharge voltage reaching~1.8 V for initial 5 h at a current density of 0.5 mA/cm^(2) and significantly prolonged cells'operational lifetime to over 360 h,in contrast to only~17 h observed in NaCl electrolyte.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry were employed to analyse the composition of surface film and scanning electron microscopy combined with transmission electron microscopy to clarify the morphology changes of the surface layer as a function of acetic acid *** thorough studies of chemical composition and morphology of corrosion products have allowed us to elucidate the working mechanism of Mg anode in this optimized electrolyte for Mg-air batteries.

In the articles “Newtons Law of Universal Gravitation Explained by the Theory of Informatons” and “The Gravitational Interaction between Moving Mass Particles Explained by the Theory of Informatons” the gravitational interaction has been explained by the hypothesis that information carried by informatons is the substance of gravitational fields, i.e. the medium that the interaction in question makes possible. From the idea that “information carried by informatons” is its substance, it has been deduced that—on the macroscopic level—a gravitational field manifests itself as a dual entity, always having a field- and an induction component (Egand Bg) simultaneously created by their common sources. In this article we will mathematically deduce the Maxwell-Heaviside equations from the kinematics of the informatons. These relations describe on the macroscopic level how a gravitational field (Eg, Bg) is generated by whether or not moving masses and how spatial and temporal changes of Egand Bgare related. We show that there is no causal link between Egand Bg.

In the article “Newtons Law of Universal Gravitation Explained by the Theory of Informatons” the gravitational interaction between mass particles at rest has been explained by the hypothesis that g-information carried by informatons is the substance of the medium that the interaction in question makes possible. It has been showed that, on the macroscopic level, that medium—the “gravitational field”—manifests itself as the vector field Eg. In this article we will deduce from the postulate of the emission of informatons, that the informatons emitted by a moving mass particle carry not only information about the position (g-information) but also about the velocity (“β-information”) of their emitter. It follows that the gravitational field of a moving mass particle is a dual entity always having a field- and an induction-component (Egand Bg) simultaneously created by their common sources: time-variable masses and mass flows and that the gravitational interaction is the effect of the fact that an object in a gravitational field always tends to become “blind” for that field by accelerating according to a Lorentz-like law.

In the context of classical physics, Newton’s law of universal gravitation describes the attraction between two mass particles separated in space. In the same context a vector field Eg, that is not associated with anything substantial, has been introduced as the entity that mediates in the gravitational interactions. In this article, we will show that Egis the mathematical quantity that—at the macroscopic level—fully characterizes the medium that makes the interaction between particles at rest possible. We identify that medium as “the gravitational field”. To define the nature of the gravitational field, we will start from the hypothesis that a material object manifests itself in space by the emission—at a rate proportional to its rest mass—of mass and energy less granular entities that—relative to an inertial reference frame—are rushing away with the speed of light and that are carriers of information referring to the position of their emitter (“g-information”). Because they transport nothing else than information, we call these entities “informatons”. We will show that the expanding cloud of g-information created by the continuous emission of informatons by a mass particle at rest can be fully characterized by the vector field Eg, which implies that that cloud can be identified as the gravitational field of the particle. We will also show that the gravitational interaction between mass particles can be explained as the response of a particle to the disturbance of the symmetry of its “proper” gravitational field by the field that, in its direct vicinity, is created and maintained by other mass particles.

Deciphering the kinematics of deformation is key to understand the crustal evolution. In the last decades several techniques have been developed to help constraining the timing of deformation. On one side geochronology techniques allow the dating of a wider range of minerals with higher spatial resolution. On the other side thermochronology, with the help of numerical simulations(PeCube, QTQt …), help to constrain the rock exhumation history that is often linked to the vertical component of deformation. In both cases the deformation timing can accurately be discussed only together with a serious structural analysis.
