Background:Beginning with the concepts of stress developed by Selye,an approach to stress and pain management,known as neuro-emotional technique(NET),has been *** is a treatment approach based on the principle that the stressor effects of dormant and/or current unresolved issues or trauma are what determine one’s bodily *** responses are relatively personalized to the conditioned,experiential and emotional reality of the ***:To determine the effect of NET on patients with chronic low back pain(CLBP)over ***,setting,participants,and interventions:In a randomized,double-blinded,placebo-controlled study conducted in a single clinic,NET or control treatments were given twice weekly for 4 weeks in a population of 112 *** outcome measures:Outcome measures,including Oswestry Disability Index,Quadruple Visual Analogue Scale,the psychoneuroimmunology markers of blood serum levels of C-reactive protein,tumour necrosis factor-a,interleukin-1(IL-1),IL-6,and IL-10,and 10 dimensions of the Short Form Health Survey scale,were assessed at baseline and at 1,3 and 6 months following the intervention ***:Compared to placebo,NET produced clinical and statistical significance(P<0.001)via declines of virtually all physiological,pain and disability markers,accompanied by gains in quality-of-life indicators at 0(baseline),1,3 and 6 *** of the percentages of patients whose 5 biomarkers lay outside the normative range were achieved at 1,3 and 6 months by NET but not control ***:A randomized,controlled trial of CLBP patients indicated that 8 NET interventions,compared to placebo,produced clinically and statistically significant reductions in pain,disability and inflammatory biomarkers,and improvements in quality-of-life measures.

This paper presents a new model of scenarios, dedicated to the specification and verification of system be- haviours in the context of software product lines （SPL）. We draw our inspiration from some techniques that are mostly used in the hardware community, and we show how they could be applied to the verification of software components. We point out the benefits of synchronous languages and mod- els to bridge the gap between both worlds.

Dear Editor, A current major challenge in microRNA （miRNA） biology is the elucidation of their functions. A key first step in this pur-suit is the identification of functionally relevant miRNA：target gene relationships. Although the molecular verification of miRNA targets with degradome or 5＇-end RACE approaches has been very successful in plants, the detection of miRNA-guided cleavage products may not be reflective of functional importance （Allen et al., 2010）, which can only be definitively defined by genetic approaches.

In recent years,large high efficiency and Net-Zero Energy Buildings(NZEB)are becoming a reality that are setting construction and energy benchmarks for the *** part of this significant effort,in 2018,Mohawk College opened the 8,981 m^(2)(96,670 ft2)Joyce Centre for Partnership and Innovation(JCPI)building in Hamilton,Ontario;becoming Canada’s largest NZEB and zero-carbon institutional *** building integrated a high-efficiency design,construction materials,and technologies;as well as renewable energy technologies to significantly reduce its annual energy consumption and greenhouse gas ***,the JCPI building was also designed as a living lab where students,faculty,researchers and industry are able to monitor and validate the performance of this state-of-the-art *** building was designed to have an energy use intensity of 73 kWh/m^(2)·year(0.26 GJ/m^(2)·year);hence,potentially consuming approximately 80%less energy than the average educational service building in *** paper gives an overview of the design criteria and technologies that were considered to achieve this innova-tive building.

Enabling innovation and access to health technologies remains a key strategy in combating infectious diseases in low-and middle-income countries(LMICs).However,a gulf between paying markets and the endemicity of such diseases has contributed to the dearth of R&D in meeting these public health *** the pharmaceutical industry views emerging economies as potential new markets,most of the world’s poorest bottom billion now reside in middle-income countries-a fact that has complicated tiered access ***,product development partnerships-particularly those involving academic institutions and small firms-find commercial opportunities in pursuing even neglected diseases;and a growing pharmaceutical sector in BRICS countries offers hope for an indigenous base of *** innovation will be shaped by 1)access to building blocks of knowledge;2)strategic use of intellectual property and innovative financing to meet public health goals;3)collaborative norms of open innovation;and 4)alternative business models,some with a double bottom *** such resource constraints,LMICs are poised to develop a new,more resource-effective model of innovation that holds exciting promise in meeting the needs of global health.

Background:Hirschsprung's disease(HD)is one of the most common congenital anomalies of colorectal function,affecting approximately 1 in 5000 live births,with a 4:1 male *** is characterized by aganglionosis that is most often limited to the rectosigmoid,but can extend proximally along the colon and,in rare instances,reach into the small intestine.A clinical history of delayed passage of meconium beyond 48 hours after birth,physical exam findings of abdominal distention and vomiting,and a contrast enema demonstrating a transition zone are highly suggestive of *** sources:We searched databases including PubMed,Google Scholar,and Scopus for the following key words:Hirschsprung's disease,rectal biopsy,pathology,ganglion cell,nerve trunk hypertrophy,pediatric constipation,and selected publications written in English that were relevant to the scope of this ***:Based on the data presented in the literature,we reviewed 1)biopsy techniques for the diagnosis of Hirschsprung's disease,addressed inadequate biopsies,and complications from rectal biopsy,and 2)pathologic and histologic interpretation of biopsy specimens for the diagnosis of Hirschsprung's ***:A well-executed rectal biopsy with expert pathologic evaluation of the specimen remains the gold standard for the diagnosis of Hirschsprung's disease and is the subject of this review.
