This study contributes with the first data on physical and taxonomical structure of macrofaunal assemblages of maerl beds from the Canary Islands. Maerl beds and Cymodocea nodosa meadows of the Canary Islands are considered biodiversity hot-spots in terms of taxonomic and functional biodiversity with a broad geographical and depth ranges. The authors have studied the structure of the macrofaunal assemblages on different habitat types （Cymodocea, Caulerpa, sabellid field, garden eel and maerl beds）. Samples were taken at a range of depths between 14 and 46 m. Correlations were performed among abiotic variables （granulometry, organic matter, nitrogen and phosphates） and the most abundant taxa. Similarity analysis was performed to explore the patchiness of seabeds at a local scale. Significant differences were found in macrofaunal assemblages among seabed types, with highest abundances and lowest biodiversity in sabellid fields, where the sabellid Bispira viola dominated. The polychaetes Aponuphis bilineata and Chone filicauda and the mollusc Turritella brochii were the most abundant taxa on maerl beds. The mosaic of granulometric conditions would explain the associated macroinfaunal community structure and contribute to the creation of diversity on these relatively well preserved seabeds at a local scale.

Several orogenic cycles of mountain building and subsequent collapse associated with periods of shal- lowing and steepening of subduction zones have been recognized in recent years in the Andes. Most of them are characterized by widespread crustal delamination expressed by large calderas and rhyolitic flare-up produced by the injection of hot asthenosphere in the subduction wedge. These processes are related to the increase of the subduction angle during trench roll-back. The Payenia paleoflat-slab, in the southern Central Andes of Argentina and Chile （34° -37°S） recorded a complete cycle from crustal thickening and mountain uplift to extensional collapse and normal faulting, which are related to changes in the subduction geometry. The early stages are associated with magmatic expansion and migration, subsequent deformation and broken foreland. New ages and geochemical data show the middle to late Miocene expansion and migration of arc volcanism towards the foreland region was associated with important deformation in the Andean foothills. However, the main difference of this orogenic cycle with the previously described cycles is that the steepening of the oceanic subducted slab is linked to basaltic flooding of large areas in the retroarc under an extensional setting. Crustal delamination is concentrated only in a narrow central belt along the cordilleran axis. The striking differences between the two types of cycles are interpreted to be related to the crustal thickness when steepening the subducting slab, The crustal thickness of the Altiplano is over 60-80 km, whereas Payenia is less than 42 km in the axial part, and near 30 km in the retroarc foothills. The final extensional regime associated with the slab steepening favors the basaltic flooding of more than 8400 km3 in an area larger than 40,000 km2, through 800 central vents and large fissures. These characteristics are unique in the entire present-day Andes.

目的:肿瘤细胞减灭术(cytoreductive surgery,CRS)+全盆腔切除术(total pelvic exenteraction,TPE)+腹腔热灌注化疗(hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy,HIPEC)整合治疗策略,是目前唯一可能治愈腹膜癌合并晚期盆腔肿瘤的疗法。本研究探讨CRS+TPE+HIPEC适应证、手术方式和技巧,尤其是避免功能性造瘘的重建方法。方法:数据来源于本中心前瞻性数据库,选取2006年9月至2021年1月,共1 172例腹膜癌患者,累计接受CRS+HIPEC治疗1 314例次,其中14例接受TPE且无造瘘功能重建,纳入研究对象。结果:14例患者均通过腹膜切除术实现了腹部肿瘤细胞减灭程度(completeness of cytoreduction,CC)评分0(CC 0)切除,通过TPE实现了盆腔R0切除,且无任何形式造瘘。无消化道吻合口病发症,术后尿漏5例,其中3例无需有创修补,1例行肾造瘘术,1例二次手术修补。无术后90天内死亡。结论:CRS+HIPEC手术中,TPE非绝对禁忌。在高度专业化的腹膜癌中心,肿瘤病理学家和专业手术团队联合,可提高CRS+TPE+HIPEC整合治疗策略的安全性和有效性,促进术后恢复,提高患者生活质量。CRS+TPE+HIPEC整合治疗策略的应用仍有待进一步深入研究。

Domino liver transplantation（LT）, using livers from familial amyloidotic polyneuropathy（FAP） patients, is a well described technique useful to expand donor pool. One of the main difficulties of this type of LT arises from the necessity to share the vascular pedicles between the graft and the donor. The most important challenge resides in restoring a proper hepatic venous outflow in the FAP-liver *** is specially challenging when using the piggy-back technique, because the hepatic stumps may be too short. To overcome this issue, surgeons explored several techniques using different types of venous grafts. We describe a new technical option by using an arterial graft from the deceased donor. By using both iliac arteries a long graft is created and sutured as needed to the hepatic vein stump. We describe herein this new technique employed in a domino liver recipient who underwent retransplantation for ischemic cholangitis. The procedure was performed using the piggy-back technique; the venous stump of the FAP liver was reconstructed with the arterial graft. The patient had uneventful postoperative and mid-term hepatic function, and anastomosis was patent 24 months after LT.

This paper discusses a mathematical model for a liquid phase reacting flow occurring at the cathode of a patent pending novel fuel cell geometry, where a non homogeneous catalysis carried by gold and Prussian Blue, with the first reducing air O2 and the second the resulting H2O2. The breathing zone is porous walls microtubes, with three different types of pores in its walls. Inside the microtuhes there is water solution of sulfuric acid. The microtubes possess an external layer of extremely porous polymer hydrophobic agent. A Prussian Blue thin porous layer is over the selective membrane. Appropriate porous and tubular connecting elements close the fluid loop. The asymmetry induces proper current and electric potential profiles, which leads to a mainly electrocapillary electrokinetic flow, which enhances the oxygen transport and assures the H2O2 flow to its reduction layer.

To evaluate the molecular dynamics and the molecular regions presented in the cinnamon types it was chosen to evaluate them without any treatment, and for that it was used low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) through the pulse sequence such as MSE-FID, an NMR sequence in the time domain, and from the longitudinal relaxation time (with a time constant T1), employing the inversion-recovery pulse sequence. The low-field NMR results indicate that the techniques chosen were a very good alternative to evaluate these types of samples food and their structural organization according to their constituents. The molecular mobility is different.
