Association of Helicobacter pylori IgA antibodies with the risk of peptic ulcer disease and gastric cancer

AIM: To compare the prevalence of Helicobacter pylori (Hpylori) IgG and IgA antibodies between adult subjects,with defined gastric diseases, nondefined gastric disorders and those representing the ***: Data on H pylori IgG and IgA antibodies,determined by enzyme immunoassay, were analyzed in 3 252 subjects with DGD including 482 patients with gastric ulcer, 882 patients with duodenal ulcer, 1 525patients with chronic gastritis only and 363 subjects with subsequent gastric cancer, 19 145 patients with NoDg and4 854 POPUL subjects. The age-adjusted prevalences were calculated for 1- and 20-year age ***: The prevalences of IgG antibodies were equally high (89-96%) in all 20-year age cohorts of the DGD groups, whereas the prevalences of IgG antibodies were lower and increased by age in the POPUL and NoDg groups. The prevalences of IgA antibodies were also higher in the DGD groups; among them CA (84-89%) and GU groups (78-91%) showed significantly higher prevalences than DU (68-77%) and CG patients (59-74%) (Or 2.49, 95%CI 1.86-3.34 between the GU and DU groups). In the CA, GU, and DU groups, the IgA prevalences showed only minor variation according to age, while they increased by age in the CG, POPUL, and NoDg groups (P≤0.0001). The IgA response, but not the IgG response, was associated with an increased risk of CA (Or 2.41, 95%CI 1.79-3.53) and GU (Or 2.57,95%CI 1.95-3.39) in comparison with CG ***: An IgA antibody response during H pylori infection is significantly more common in CA and GU patients as compared with CG patients.

This study aimed to evaluate the suitability of two bioaerosol generation systems（dry and wet generation） for the aerosolization of microorganisms isolated from the International space station, and to calibrate the produced bioaerosols to fulfill the requirements of computational fluid dynamics model（CFD） validation. Concentration, stability, size distribution, agglomeration of generated bioaerosol and deposition of bioaerosols were analyzed. In addition, the dispersion of non-viable particles in the air was *** proved that wet generation from microbial suspensions could be used for the production of well-calibrated and stabile bioaerosols for model validation. For the simulation of the natural release of fungal spores, a dry generation method should be used. This study showed that the used CFD model simulated the spread of non-viable particles fairly well. The mathematical deposition model by Lai and Nazaroff could be used to estimate the deposition velocities of bioaerosols on surfaces, although it somewhat underestimated the measured deposition velocities.

License to Mine: A Comparison of the scope of the Environmental Assessment in sweden, Finland and russia

The regulatory framework for mining operations is complex;the licensing process in particular typically involves several laws and a number of permits. This paper assumes that the regulatory framework is strongly influenced by the institutional framework of which it is part, and that it suffers from an institutional path dependence that may decrease the efficiency of the system as well as act barrier to the implementation of necessary environmental requirements. The paper provides: 1) a legal analysis of the regulatory framework governing mining operations in sweden, Finland and russia;and 2) a comparative analysis of the scope of the environmental assessment within the licensing process in the examined countries. The result of the analysis of the regulatory frameworks shows great similarity between the swedish and the Finnish systems, both in terms of the overall structure and the implementation of substantive environmental rules. The russian system differs in this respect, with more declarative rules and seemingly less substantive assessments. The results also indicate that the regulatory frameworks in all three countries show signs of institutional path dependence, but in very different degrees. Though russia has indeed implemented major changes in the formal structure, very little has changed in practice. The swedish regulatory framework for mining shows a deficient systematics and conflicting objectives, despite the implementation of a comprehensive environmental legislation. The recently reformed Finnish system seems to have a more holistic approach.

目的汉化护生老年护理能力(GeroNursingCom)量表,并检验其信效度。方法本研究为横断面调查。采用Brislin翻译模式进行正译和回译、文化调适及预调查,根据专家评议形成中文版GeroNursingCom量表,采用便利抽样方法,于2021年9—10月选取云南省3所本科医学院校护理本科生312人进行问卷调查,检验其信度与效度。结果中文版GeroNursingCom量表包括11个维度,共50个条目。量表总Cronbachα系数为0.909,各维度Cronbachα系数为0.625~0.912,分半信度系数为0.768,总量表重测信度为0.845。量表水平的内容效度指数为0.930,条目水平的内容效度指数为0.830~1.000。探索性因子分析共提取特征值>1的公因子11个,对结果的共同解释度为68.374%。结论中文版GeroNursingCom量表具有良好的信度与效度,可作为评价护理实习生老年护理能力的工具。

Long-Term Monoacylglycerol Lipase Inhibitor Treatment Decelerates Pathological Changes in APP/Ps1-21 Mice, but Behavioral Improvements require Early-stage Treatment Onset—short report

The arachidonic acid (AA) pathway produces several essential proinflammatory eicosanoids. However, in many neurodegenerative diseases, e.g. Alzheimer’s disease (AD), this pathway is chronically hyperactivated. In brain, primarily monoacylglycerol lipase (MAGL) hydrolyzes the endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoylglycerol to AA, which is further metabolized to generate many proinflammatory eicosanoids. MAGL inhibition, simultaneously reducing the level of eicosanoids and increasing those of neuroprotective endocannabinoids, has proved efficacious in some AD models, reducing neurotoxic β-amyloid (Aβ) levels and improving memory functions. Here, a MAGL inhibitor, JZL184 was chronically administered (16 mg/kg, i.p., 3 x/wk for 5 mo) for 1 - 1.5 mo and 7 - 8 mo old transgenic (TG) and wild-type (WT) APP/Ps1-21 mice modelling cerebral amyloidosis. According to immunohistochemistry, JZL184 significantly increased the expression levels of cannabinoid receptor 1 in older WT and younger TG and WT mice, decreased cannabinoid receptor 2 and oligomeric Aβ in older and younger TG mice and decreased microglia-specific marker Iba1 in younger TG mice, compared to TG mice treated with vehicle only. However, in the Morris Water Maze test, spatial memory functions improved significantly only in younger TG and WT mice, compared to vehicle-treated littermates. These tentative results suggest that chronic, rather long-term MAGL inhibition can decelerate pathological changes in TG APP/Ps1-21 mice but it improves memory functions only when administered at an early stage of the
