The commercial and public services sectors including shopping centers,worship buildings,theatres,and other types,account for more than 20%of the electricity consumption in the *** building typologies are characterized by large spaces and high and temporary ***,the horizontal temperature distribution in these buildings becomes one of the important parameters on occupant's comfort and energy *** the present study,a thermo-aeraulic zonal model using TRNSYS and CONTAM simulation tools is developed to analyze the spatial temperature distribution in a large *** studies relating to mesh discretization of building volume are performed to optimize the computational time and *** computational simulation is carried out to analyze the impact of building height,internal loads,natural ventilation and climatic conditions on the spatial temperature distribution,building energy performance,and thermal *** developed simulation model in this study is effective to predict the horizontal temperature distribution with reasonable computation time compared to CFD *** results show that the internal heat gains lead to an increase in the horizontal temperature gradient which should not be negligible especially in the case of large *** the other side,natural night ventilation can reduce the peak tempearture in building by 3℃ for normal occupation building with limited internal ***,good spatial temperature distribution can decrease annual building energy needs about 32%.It can be helpful for architects and building developers to make an optimal choice regarding to building envelope and HVAC design.

Antennae of the wheat stink bug Eurygaster maura L. （Hemiptera： Scutelleridae） were investigated to elucidate structure and distribution of antennal chemosensilla in females. Five type of sensilla were identified and characterized using a scanning electron microscope （SEM） and a transmission electron microscope （TEM）. Type 1 sensilla are mechanical and contact chemoreceptors with a single apical pore. Types 2 and 3 sensilla are multiporous chemoreceptors both with typical features of olfactory sensilla. Type 4 are multiporous peg-like sensilla, short and with a grooved surface. Type 5 are sensilla coeloconica with a smooth and aporous peg completely inserted in a sub-cuticular chamber. All types are distributed on the two flagellar segments, but we considered only the apical flagellomere in which the largest number of sensilla are located. The most abundant sensilla are type 3, while the less numerous are type 5. All types, except type 2, decreased in number from the tip to the base of the segment. The lower density of sensilla was recorded on the dorsal-internal part of the apical antennomere, while the higher density was recorded on the opposite side （external-ventral）.

Effect of Milling and Parboiling Processes on Arsenic Species Distribution in Rice Grains

This study identified the role of milling and parboiling on arsenic(As)content and its species in large numbers of rice *** As contents were 108±33μg/kg in polished rice grains(PR),159±46μg/kg in unpolished rice grains(UR),145±42μg/kg in parboiled polished rice grains(PPR)and 145±44μg/kg in parboiled unpolished rice grains(PUR).The percentages of inorganic As(iAs)were 66%±8%in PR and from 72%to 77%in other grain *** polishing process reduced the As content in the rice grains,removing outer part of the UR with high amount of As,whereas the parboiling technique transferred the semimetal content within the *** As and iAs contents were not significantly different in UR,PPR and PUR,homogenizing its distribution inside the *** results allowed to understand how different operations affect As fate and its chemical forms in grains.

Changes in organellar gene expression （OGE） trigger retrograde signaling. The molecular dissection of OGE-dependent retrograde signaling based on analyses of mutants with altered OGE is complicated by compensatory responses that mask the primary signaling defect and by secondary effects that influence other retrograde signaling pathways. Therefore, to identify the earliest effects of altered OGE on nuclear transcript accumulation, we have induced OGE defects in adult plants by ethanol-dependent repression of PRORS1, which encodes a prolyl-tRNA synthetase located in chloroplasts and mitochondria. After 32 h of PRORS1 repression, the translational capacity of chloroplasts was reduced, and this effect subsequently intensified, while basic photosynthetic parameters were still unchanged at 51 h. Analysis of changes in whole-genome transcriptomes during exposure to ethanol revealed that induced PRORS1 silencing affects the expression of 1020 genes in all. Some of these encode photosynthesis-related proteins, including several down-regulated light-harvesting chlorophyll a/b binding （LHC） proteins. Interestingly, genes for presumptive endoplasmic reticulum pro- teins are transiently up-regulated. Furthermore, several NAC-domain-containing proteins are among the transcription factors regulated. Candidate cis-acting elements which may coordinate the transcriptional co-regulation of genes sets include both G-box variants and sequence motifs with no similarity to known plant c/s-elements.

Sudden hearing loss associated with peginterferon and ribavirin combination therapy during hepatitis C treatment

Adverse effects associated with peginterferon and ribavirin during hepatitis C treatment are well known. Sudden hearing loss has rarely been reported. Possible mechanisms involved include direct ototoxicity of interferon, autoimmunity, and hematological changes. Hearing loss is frequently fully resolved after discontinuation of antiviral therapy. We report a 47-year- old man with chronic hepatitis C, genotype 2 ac who developed sudden hearing loss 22 wk after starting therapy with peginterferon alpha 2a at a dose of 180 ~g per week and ribavirin 800 mg per day. Since symptoms did not worsen, antiviral therapy was continued for 2 wk, according to the patient＇s wish. Hearing loss resolved within 2 wk after the end of treatment. Serum liver alanine aminotransferase remained normal during and after the end of antiviral therapy. HCV RNA was undetectable at the end of therapy and remained negative 24 wk later. Thus, patients should be aware that hearing loss may occur with peginterferon therapy, but the decision whether to continue or to stop the treatment is based on the clinical judgment of the physician and the wishes of the patient.

The Sulu Orogen preserves the Neoproterozoic tectonic-magmatic events,corresponding to the breaking up of the Rodinia *** ages and petrogenesis of meta-igneous rocks in the Liansandao area in the northern Sulu Orogen are not *** study reports zircon U-Pb ages and Hf isotopes of these rocks from the Liansandao *** meta-igneous rock samples give similar weighted mean 206 Pb/238 U ages of 744±11,767±12,and 762±15 Ma,respectively,indicating the Neoproterozoic crystallization *** rocks formed coevally with the Wulian and Yangkou intrusions that located along the Yantai-Qingdao-Wulian fault *** Neoproterozoic ages indicate that the meta-igneous rocks from the Liansandao area have affinity to the Yangtze *** three samples haveεHf(t)values of-7.2–-10.5,-6.0–-17.5,and-6.8–-12.0,*** negativeεHf(t)values indicate a primarily crustal ***,the widely variousεHf(t)values that are higher than the continental crust,suggesting magma mixing between mantle-derived materials and the continental crust or source *** with the Hf model ages and geochemical characteristics,the monzodiorite(sample LSD-2)is most likely to be mantle-derived magma then interacted with ancient continental crust,and the granitic protolith(samples LSD-1 and LSD-3)in the Liansandao area might derive from the re-melting of a Paleoproterozoic continental crust at^750 Ma,resulting from the upwelling and underplating of mantle-derived magma formed in an extensional setting due to the break-up of the Rodinia supercontinent.

In the present study,Paleozoic Variscan orogenesis was a model of the oroclinal flexion accompanied by extensive magmatism,which could be divided into the following two types:post-tectonic and syn-tectonic tonalite granite,and leuco-granite which were controlled by the tectonic characteristics of the *** was observed that a very high majority of the samples had displayed discontinuities in their structures,that were later utilized to define the granitoid morphology and development characteristics of the rock during the intrusion ***,it was determined that the tectonics associated with the Alpine orogeny results in the new generation of faults and fractures during the Paleogene Period had produced the development of the *** to different weathering processes,the depressions which had resulted in the present granitoid reliefs were found to be exclusively related to the structural development processes during the geological history(either tectonic or magmatic)of the granite,and not as normally interpreted.
