Characterizing fol.ar trait variation in sun and shade l.aves can provide insights into inter-and intra-species resource use strategies and pl.nt response to environmental.***,datasets with records of mul.ipl. fol.ar traits from the same individual.and incl.ding shade l.aves are sparse,which l.mits our abil.ty to investigate trait-trait,trait-environment rel.tionships and trait coordination in both sun and shade *** presented a comprehensive dataset of 15 fol.ar traits from sun and shade l.aves sampl.d with l.af spectroscopy,incl.ding 424 individual. of 110 pl.nt species from 19 sites across eastern North *** investigated trait variation,covariation,scal.ng rel.tionships with l.af mass,and the effects of environment,canopy position,and taxonomy on trait ***,sun l.aves had higher l.af mass per area,nonstructural.carbohydrates and total.phenol.cs,l.wer mass-based chl.rophyl. a+b,carotenoids,phosphorus,and potassium,but exhibited species-specific *** between sun and shade l.af traits,and trait-environment rel.tionships were overal. consistent across *** main dimensions of fol.ar trait variation in seed pl.nts were reveal.d incl.ding l.af economics traits,photosynthetic pigments,defense,and structural.*** and canopy position col.ectivel. expl.ined most of the fol.ar trait *** study highl.ghts the importance of incl.ding intra-individual.and intra-specific trait variation to improve our understanding of ecosystem *** findings have impl.cations for efficient fiel. sampl.ng,and trait mapping with remote sensing.

Introduction Pel.ic fl.or disorders(PFDs)pose substantial.physical.and psychol.gical.burdens for a growing number of *** the ubiquity of these conditions and known patient rel.ctance to seek care,primary care providers(PCPs)have a unique opportunity to increase treatment and provide appropriate referral. for these *** An onl.ne survey was administered to PCPs to assess provider practices,knowl.dge,comfort managing and ease of referral.for *** regression was used to assess the association between demographic/practice characteristics of PCPs and two primary outcomes of interest:discomfort with management and difficul.y with referral.of *** Of the 153 respondents to the survey,more fel. comfortabl. managing stress urinary incontinence(SUI)and overactive bl.dder(OAB),compared with pel.ic organ prol.pse(POP)and faecal.incontinence(FI)and were l.ss l.kel. to refer patients with urinary *** providers el.cited symptoms for POP and FI as compared with SUI and *** variabl.s that were significantl. associated with discomfort with management varied by PFD,but tended to correl.te with l.ss exposure to PFDs(eg,those with fewer years of practice,and internal.medicine and famil. physicians as compared with geriatricians);whereas the factors that were significantl. associated with difficul.y in referral.again varied by PFD,but were rel.ted to practice characteristics(eg,special.st network,type of practice,practice setting and quantity of patients).Concl.sion These findings highl.ght the need to increase PCPs awareness of PFDs and devel.p effective standardised screening protocol.,as wel. as col.aboration with pel.ic fl.or special.sts to improve screening,treatment and referral.for patients with PFDs.

Does ash dieback affect the reproductive ecol.gy of Fraxinus excel.ior l.?

Forest tree species reproduction is a key factor in maintaining the genetic diversity of future generations and the stabil.ty of forest *** ongoing ash dieback disease coul. affect the reproductive ecol.gy of Fraxinus excel.ior *** have a major impact on the quantity and qual.ty of pol.en and *** this study,we investigated pol.en production and viabil.ty of pol.en and seeds of ash trees with different heal.h status from 2018 to *** were col.ected from 105 trees(pol.en production),pol.en from 125 trees(pol.en viabil.ty),and seeds from 53 trees(seed qual.ty)in two seed orchards and in one fl.odpl.in forest in southern *** al. parameters were examined at every site every *** average pol.en production per tree was estimated at 471.2±647.9 bil.ion pol.en *** addition,we found that a high number of infl.rescences did not equate to high pol.en production per *** production of heal.hy and diseased trees did not differ significantl.,al.hough onl. 47%of severel. diseased mal. trees(vs.72%for heal.hy trees)produced *** regards to pol.en viabil.ty,the TTC test showed an average viabil.ty of 73%±17%.Overal.,there was a sl.ght tendency for diseased trees to have l.ss viabl. ***,a significant difference coul. onl. be cal.ul.ted for trees in the fl.odpl.in *** percentage of germinabl. seeds in 2018 was 38%in the fl.odpl.in forest and 57%in one of the seed *** percentage of viabl. seeds(TTC test)ranged from 17 to 22%in the orchards in ***-viabl. seeds were usual.y heavil. infested by *** general.seed qual.ty was not significantl. different between heal.hy and diseased *** resul.s indicate that ash dieback affects fl.wer formation and pol.en viabil.ty but not pol.en production or seed ***,the fact that hardl. any fl.wering was observed,especial.y for trees that were seriousl. affected,suggests a negative effect of ash dieback on reproductive per

Extensive work on a Cu-modified TiO_(2) photocatal.st for CO_(2) reduction under visibl. l.ght irradiation was conducted. The structure of the copper cocatal.st was establ.shed using UV-vis diff use refl.ectance spectroscopy, high-resol.tion transmis- sion el.ctron microscopy, X-ray absorption spectroscopy, and X-ray photoel.ctron spectroscopy. It was found that copper exists in different states (Cu 0 , Cu^(+) , and Cu^(2+) ), the content of which depends on the TiO_(2) cal.ination temperature and copper l.ading. The optimum composition of the cocatal.st has a photocatal.st based on TiO_(2) cal.ined at 700℃ and modified with 5 wt% copper, the activity of which is 22 μmol.(h·g cat ) (409 nm). Anal.sis of the photocatal.sts after the photocatal.tic reaction discl.sed that the copper metal.on the surface of the cal.ined TiO_(2) was gradual.y converted into Cu_(2) O during the photocatal.tic reaction. Meanwhil., the metal.ic copper on the surface of the noncal.ined TiO_(2) did not undergo any trans- formation during the reaction.
