Urban air pollution,climate and its impact on asthma morbidity

Objective:To study the mechanism of formation of air quality and to determine the impact of the studied factors on asthma morbidity in ***:The evaluation of air pollution in Vladivostok was done using long-term(2008-2012) monitoring data(temperature,humidity,atmospheric pressure,wind speed,etc.).The levels of suspended particulate matter,nitrogen and sulfur dioxide,carbon monoxide,ammonia,formaldehyde(mg/m^3) in six stationary observation posts were *** studied the aerosol suspensions of solid particles,which were collected during snowfall from precipitation(snow) and air in 14 districts with different levels of anthropogenic *** snow was analyzed on laser *** impact of air pollution on the distribution of asthma morbidity was evaluated in various age groups by data of federal statistical observation obtained from 8 adults and 7 children municipal clinics in Vladivostok(2008-2012).Results:The content of suspended particulate components of pollution remained more stable,due to the features of atmospheric circulation,rugged terrain and residential *** nano- and micro-sized particles(0-50 μm),which can absorb highly toxic metals,prevail in dust *** respirable fractions of particles,even in small doses,can contribute to the increase in asthma morbidity in the ***:We determined that asthma morbidity depends from general air pollution(in the range of 18.3%).It was detected that the highest age-specific dependence is associated with the content of particulate matter,carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide in air.

The fracture of materials under the action of compressive forces, directed along cracks which are parallel in plane can,lot be described within the framework of the linear fracture mechanics. The criteria of fracture of the Griffith-Irvin or COC type, used in classical linear fracture mechanics, are not applicable in this problem, since these forces have no influence on stress intensity coefficients and on values of cracks opening([1, 2]). The problems of such a class may be described only by using new approaches. One of possible approaches is presented by the first author, which involves using linearized relations, derived from exact non-linear equations of deformable solid body mechanics([3, 4, 5]). It should be remarked here that this approach has been widely used in problems of deformable bodies stability. As a criterion of the initiation of fracture the criterion of local instability near defects of the crack type is used. In these cases the process of loss of stability initiates the fracture process.

50 Years Experience of the *** Electric Welding Institute in Field of Electron Beam Welding

Studying the possibilities of electron beam welding (EBW) and the principles of construction of equipment for electron beam welding,led by academician Boris Evgenyevich Paton,began at the *** Electric Welding Institute (PWI) in *** resulted in development of the first laboratory-scale plant and welding of different small *** year later the method of electron beam welding turned out to be in great demand:in nuclear power engineering,in production of electric vacuum devices and liquid-fuel rocket *** 1961-1962 owing to effective coordination of work performed at government level,the first production machines for electron beam welding were put into operation at a number of branch *** the next few years,application of electron beam welding became wider,first of all in the above mentioned industries,and simultaneously electron beam welding began to be accepted by aircraft and power engineering *** 1960-s PWI organized in Ukraine full-scale production of power units,developed by it (guns,power sources and control systems) on the basis of Sumy Factory of Electron Microscopes.72 complete sets of power source units of SP-30 type (25 kV,500 mА),330 complete sets of U-250А (30 kV,450 mА),320 complete sets of ELA-60 (60 kV,250,500 and 1000 mА) and ELA-120 (120 kV,1000 mА) were manufactured in different periods of *** October 16th 1969 the first test of electron beam welding and cutting of metals was carried out in ?Soyuz-6? spaceship,that practically initiated the space *** was performed in Vulkan unit developed by *** that in space X-radiation and difficulties with high-voltage insulation could eliminate the possibility of electron beam application,low accelerating voltage (not higher than 8 kV) was used.

Development of a hybrid photo-bioreactor and nanoparticle adsorbent system for the removal of CO2,and selected organic and metal co-pollutants

Parameter of dielectric loss distribution in the new model for complex conductivity based on Havriliak-Negami formula

This paper is focused on the comparison of the results of various approximation models describing the frequency dependences of the dielectric constanε'/ε_(0)(f)andε"/ε_(0)(f),the tangent of the loss angle tgδ(f)T and the electrical conductivityγ'(f)T andγ"(f)T of nonlinear *** classic ferroelectric material of the PZT system with x=0.50 was chosen as the object of *** on the analysis of temperature-frequency dependences of the“empirical”parametersαandβ,a regularity has been revealed that allows them to be calculated.A new relationship has been established through the parameterα,which allows to relate the temperature and frequency dependences of the complex electrical conductivity asω→∞and asω→0 in the Havriliak-Negami approximation models and in the new model for the description of the complex electrical conductivityγ*.It is shown thatαis a parameter of the temperature-frequency distribution of dielectric *** the obtained expressions,a new theoretical description of experimental spectra having a relaxation character was *** has been proven that the use of the new model makes it possible to accurately describe the set of studied spectra,including the high and low frequencies,in the frequency range from 10^(-3) to 10^(8) Hz.

Sedimentation Management of Man-Made Water for Restoring the Quality of the River Resource

Research of water resources restoration of natural Dnieper river and man-made nature was carried out. The studies of water quality at working and peak operating modes of production cooling equipment were carried out. The conditions for the supersaturation of poorly soluble salts of the basin ( = 72.34;= 12.54) and accumulation of sediments of the reservoir are determined. The gravity tools for the restoration of water resources are proposed. A criterion equation for recharge the circulating system at peak mode was obtained. The granulometric potential of waste sediments at environmental feasibility is analyzed. The research involved supercritical temperature modes, taking into account precipitation hyperthermia. In the process of conducting a hydrological study, an evolutionary equation sediment model has been developed. The calculations of the technological flow capacity limits by of 125 W/m2 due to turbidity (750 mg/l) and hardness (up to 12 mg ekv per liter) of water resources are obtained. Mechanical sedimentation of the water stream increasing the energy potential up to 275 W/m2 was determined. The use of chemical agents (ozone) as a combined treatment increasing the flow potential up to 650 W/m2 is achieved. The application of technical way to natural water improving power to 975 W/m2 is received. Erosion of the bottom of the basin reduces the hydrological potential due to the unfinished state of biodegradation of sediments. The hydrological characteristics of the stream at a distance of 3000 m with characteristic technogenic inclusions were obtained. The study was conducted at natural Dnieper river and laboratory conditions with chemical catalyst and mechanical activator.

This work presents the results of studying the electrophysical properties of the YCu_(0.15)Mn_(0.85)O_(3)solid solution in the range of temperatures of T=26-400°C and frequency range of f=102-105 Hz.A model description of the revealed dispersion of dielectric parameters in the material is *** nonclassical modified Havriliak-Negami model written for complex electrical conduc-tivity was used as an approximation *** is shown that the application of this model almost exactly describes the frequency behavior of the dielectric constantε′/ε0(f),the dielectric loss tangent tgδ(f)as well as the real and imaginary parts of complex conductivityγ′(f)andγ′′(f).The results of this work are an important step in identifying the opportunities and understanding the applications of this model.

本文在pH6.5磷酸盐缓冲溶液中研究了热变性前后牛乳铁蛋白(bovine lactoferrin,LF)和α-乳白蛋白(α-lactalbumin,ALA)之间的自组装行为。采用ζ-电位、浊度法、动态光散射、光学显微镜、荧光光谱和红外色谱等方法进行表征。结果表明,与天然LF和ALA自组装复合物相比,热变性LF和ALA自组装复合物的ζ-电位较低。天然LF与ALA可以自组装可形成纳米颗粒,粒径最大为(35.24±0.82)nm;经过热变性的LF与ALA自组装形成超分子结构,通过调整ALA浓度,可以得到亚微米和微米颗粒,颗粒粒径最大为(4.11±0.14)μm。天然LF与ALA的复合物均为球状聚集体,分布均一;而热变性LF与ALA的复合物则为网状聚集体,分布不均一。ALA的添加增强了LF中色氨酸残基的疏水性。LF中的C=O和C-N基团均参与了与ALA25℃的相互作用。本研究为构建新型双蛋白自组装体及理解双蛋白组装机制提供了理论依据。
