Twenty-two pesticides and metabolites, selected on the basis of regional priority lists, were surveyed in thirty Italian mineral waters springs for three years by a procedure based on solid phase extraction in combination with gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry detection. The procedure proved to be simple, sensitive and reliable, the limits of detection and relative standard deviations were respectively in the range of 0.002 - 0.04 μg/L and 3% - 7%, recoveries ranged from 86% to 105% at the European Union Maximum Acceptable Concentration (MAC). Pesticide residues were detected in just one of the ninety water samples analyzed but no one exceeding the MAC. These results demonstrate the good quality of Italian mineral waters, not forgetting the need of constant revision and update of the priority list of pollutants.

With the increase in the aging population,the global number of people with Alzheimer’s disease(AD)progressively increased *** situation is aggravated by the fact that there is no the efective pharmacological therapy of ***(PBM)is non-pharmacological approach that has shown very promising results in the therapy of AD in pilot clinical and animal ***,the mechanisms of therapeutic efects of PBM for AD are poorly *** this study on mice,we demonstrate that photodynamic efects of 5-aminolevulenic acid and laser 635 nm cause reduction of network of the meningeal lymphatic vessels(MLVs)leading to suppression of lymphatic removal of beta-amyloid(Aβ)from the right lateral ventricle and the *** the original protocol of PBM under electroencephalographic monitoring of wakefulness and sleep stages in non-anesthetized mice,we discover that the 7-day course of PBM during deep sleep *** provides better restoration of clearance of Aβfrom the ventricular system of the brain and the *** results shed light on the mechanism of PBM and show the stimulating efects of PBM on the brain lymphatic drainage that promotes transport of Aβvia the lymphatic *** efects of PBM on the brain lymphatics in sleeping brain open a new niche in the study of restorative functions of sleep as well as it is an important informative platform for the development of innovative smart sleep technologies for the therapy of AD.

The integrated use of multiple renewable energy sources to increase the efficiency of heat pump systems,such as in Solar Assisted Geothermal Heat Pumps(SAGHP),may lead to significant benefits in terms of increased efficiency and overall system performance especially in extreme climate contexts,but requires careful integrated optimization of the different system *** particular,thermal storages take a fundamental role in optimizing the integration of renewable energy sources and the system *** work investigates the potential design optimization of a SAGHP system in a mountain site by exploring many different alternatives to optimize the mutual relationship between the solar field,the geothermal field and the water thermal *** is done through an original simulation-based multi-objective optimization framework considering energy efficiency and economic feasibility,which allows appraising the impact of the different design alternatives on the overall system performance and on the dynamics of the different system *** identify a set of optimized system configurations that optimize the integrated exploitation of the different thermal sources showing a potential increase of the overall system performance leading to 34%lower global cost compared to the initial *** robustness of the optimal design solutions is reported with respect to the current context of high economic uncertainty.

This research aims to provide a Structured Literature Review(SLR)concerning the role of Intellectual Capital(IC)in Integrated Reporting(IR).It analyses papers published in journals from business,management,and accounting area,from 2013 to 2021 with the purpose of pointing out relevant insights about the relationship between IC and *** that existing literature offers valuable contributions about IC,and the International Integrated Reporting Council included IC related issues among the aims and the fundamentals concepts of IR,this is a topic of growing interest that offers many avenues for further *** past and present literature,this study found that most of the papers use content analysis or a conceptual and critical ***,three main paths emerged:about IC disclosure,about IC and IR as a field of research,about a practical concern of IR and ***,it tries to frame a future research agenda;particularly,this paper emphasizes the need for further research about the importance of new technologies as they are considered to be the IC of modern organization.

Behind armour blunt trauma(BABT)is a body injury resulting from the deformation of the back surface of armour as a result of a bullet *** the case of textile body armour,the severity of the injury may depend on the material of the fibres,but also on the geometric structure of the *** article focuses on experimental research into injuries of the human body protected by ballistic packets made of biaxial and triaxial fabrics,during a non-penetrating impact from a Parabellum 9 mm×19 mm Full Metal Jacket(FMJ)bullet,at a speed of 406±5 m/*** experimental research,the fabrics had a comparable surface weight and were made of the same Kevlar^(■)29 *** ballistic packages were made of 30 *** part of the work,a physical model of the human body was *** human body model consisted of a model of the heart,lungs,and skeletal and muscular *** the bullet impact,the pressure forces were recorded using sensors located at selected points of the human *** bullets hit five selected places on the body that were considered critical,from the point of view of maintaining a human’s vital *** was found that,during firing,pressure increases both at the site of impact and in the internal organs,which can lead to multi-organ *** a result of the experimental analysis,it has been shown that the pressures exerted on specific organs are always lower in the case of body protection with a ballistic packet made of triaxial fabrics,compared to a packet made of biaxial fabrics.

At the late stage of transitional boundary layers, the nonlinear evolution of the ring-like vortices and spike structures and their effects on the surrounding flow were studied by means of direct numerical simulation with high order accuracy. A spatial transition of the flat-plate boundary layers in the compressible flow was conducted. Detailed numerical results with high resolution clearly represented the typical vortex structures, such as ring-like vortices and so on, and induced ejection and sweep events. It was verified that the formation of spike structures in transitional boundary layers had close relationship with ring-like vortices. Especially, compared to the newly observed positive spike structure in the experiments, the same structure was found in the present numerical simulations, and the mechanism was also studied and analyzed.

Nonlinear interferometers with correlated photons hold promise to advance optical characterization and metrology techniques by improving their performance and *** interferometers offer subshot noise phase sensitivity and enable measurements in detection-challenging regions using inexpensive and efficient *** sensitivity of nonlinear interferometers,defined by the ability to measure small shifts of interference fringes,can be significantly enhanced by using multiple nonlinear elements,or crystal ***,to date,experiments with more than two nonlinear elements have not been realized,thus hindering the potential of nonlinear ***,we build a nonlinear interferometer with up to five nonlinear elements,referred to as superlattices,in a highly stable and versatile *** study the modification of the interference pattern for different configurations of the superlattices and perform a proof-of-concept gas sensing experiment with enhanced *** approach offers a viable path towards broader adoption of nonlinear interferometers with correlated photons for imaging,interferometry,and spectroscopy.
