Deep learning has received a growing interest in recent years for detecting different types of pavement distresses and automating pavement condition assessment.A proper choice of deep learning models is key for successful pavement assessment *** this study,we first present a comprehensive experimental comparison of state-of-the-art image classification models to evaluate their performances on 11 pavement objects *** experiments are conducted in different dimensions of comparison,including deep classifier architecture,effects of network depth,and computational *** convolutional neural network(CNN)classifiers widely used in transportation applications,including VGG16,VGG19,ResNet50,DenseNet121,and a generic CNN(as the control model),are tested with a comprehensive pixel-level annotated dataset for 11 different distress and non-distress classes(uCF-PAVE 2017).In addition,we investigate a simple yet effective approach of encoding contextual information with multi-scale input tiles to classify highly random pavement objects in size,shape,intensity,texture,and *** comparison results show that the multi-scale approach significantly improves the classification accuracy for all compared deep classifiers at a negligible extra computational ***,we provide recommendations of how to improve the classification performance of deep CNNs for automated pavement condition assessment based on the comparison results.

Objective Cardiovascular complications contribute to postoperative morbidity and mortality in elderly hip fracture patients. Limited data are available regarding which preoperative risk factors predict cardiovascular course following hip fracture surgery （HFS）. We used high sensitive troponin I （hs-TnI） assays and clinical parameters to identify preoperative risk factors associated with major adverse cardiac events （MACE） in elderly hip frac^u＇e patients. Method From August 2014 to November 2016, 575 patients with hip fracture were enrolled in a retrospective, single-center registry. A total of 262 of these patients underwent HFS and hs-TnI assays. MACE was defined as postoperative all-cause deaths, heart failure （HF）, new-onset atrial fibrillation （AF）, myocardial infarction （MI） and cardiovascular re-hospitalization that occurred within 90 days postoperative. Results Of 262 HFS patients, MACE developed following HFS in 65 （24.8%）. Patients with MACE were older and had higher rates of renal insufficiency, coronary artery disease, prior HF, low left ventricular ejection fraction and use of beta blockers; higher levels of hs-Tnl and N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide （NT-proBNP） and higher revised cardiac risk index. A preoperative hs-TnI≥ 6.5 ng/L was associated with high risk of postoperative HF, new-onset AF and MACE. In multivariable analysis, pre-operative independent predictors for MACE were age 〉 80 years [adjusted hazard ratio （HR）： 1.79, 95% confident interval （CI）： 1.03-3.13, P = 0.04], left ventricular ejection fraction （LVEF）〈 50% （adjusted HR： 3.17, 95% CI： 1.47-5.82, P 〈 0.01） and hs-TnI 〉 6.5 ng/L （adjusted HR： 3.75, 95% CI： 2.09~5.17, P 〈 0.01）. Conclusion In elderly patients with hip fracture who undergo HFS, a preoperative assessment of hs-TnI may help the risk refinement of cardiovascular complications.

To investigate a suitable long-term culture system and optimal cryopreservation of intestinal organoid to improve organoid-based therapy by acquiring large numbers of *** were isolated from jejunum of C57BL/6 mouse. Two hundred crypts were cultured in organoid medium with either epidermal growth factor/Noggin/R-spondin1 (ENR) or ENR/CHIR99021/VPA (ENR-CV). For subculture, organoids cultured on day 7 were passaged using enzyme-free cell dissociation buffer (STEMCELL Technologies). The passage was performed once per week until indicated passage. For cryopreservation, undissociated and dissociated organoids were resuspended in freezing medium with or without Rho kinase inhibitor subjected to different treatment times. The characteristics of intestinal organoids upon extended passage and freeze-thaw were analyzed using Edu staining, methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium assay, qPCR and time-lapse live cell *** established a three-dimensional culture system for murine small intestinal organoids using ENR and ENR-CV media. Both conditions yielded organoids with a crypt-villus architecture exhibiting Lgr5up>+up> cells and differentiated intestinal epithelial cells as shown by morphological and biochemical analysis. However, during extended passage (more than 3 mo), a comparative analysis revealed that continuous passaging under ENR-CV conditions, but not ENR conditions induced phenotypic changes as observed by morphological transition, reduced numbers of Lgr5up>+up> cells and inconsistent expression of markers for differentiated intestinal epithelial cell types. We also found that recovery of long-term cryopreserved organoids was significantly affected by the organoid state, i.e., whether dissociation was applied, and the timing of treatment with the Rho-kinase inhibitor Y-27632. Furthermore, the retention of typical morphological characteristics of intestinal organoids such as the crypt-villus structure from freeze-thawed cells was observed

Effect of the Weaving Density of Aramid Fabrics on Their Resistance to Ballistic Impacts

Two Heracron? woven fabrics, HT600-1 and HT600-2, were fabricated with different weaving densities and their resistance to ballistic impact was investigated. While HT600-1 was inherently stronger along the weft than HT600-2, the latter exhibited a higher tensile strength along the warp. Crimp values indicate that HT600-1, which possesses a relatively larger weft weaving density, induces an excess in the warp crimp ratio, thereby weakening the fabric along the warp. The dimensionless fiber property u*, which is defined as the product of the specific fiber toughness and the strain wave velocity, was calculated for each fabric. The u* values of HT600-1 were lower than those of HT600-2;u* values along the warp of HT600-1 were extremely low. These analyses show that HT600-2 exhibited improved ballistic properties over those of HT600-1. These findings further indicate the existence of an optimal weave that would minimize damage to both yarn and fabric. Establishing these optimal conditions can be crucial in implementing better ballistic properties into fabrics.

以CaO–B2O3–SiO2(CBS)玻璃粉末为原料,采用流延成形工艺制备了CBS系生料带。生料带在排完胶后可以在775～950℃内烧结。研究了生料带在烧成过程中致密化和晶化行为以及烧成温度对其介电性能和烧结性能的影响。结果表明:烧成样品中的主晶相为β-CaSiO3,850～900℃烧成样品中有少量CaB2O4。在样品烧成过程中,排胶后的CBS玻璃粉末首先烧结致密化,然后才开始晶化,即致密化过程要早于晶化过程,CBS玻璃的析晶倾向于整体析晶,这有利于CBS玻璃粉末的烧结。由于玻璃中析出晶相与残余玻璃相存在密度差,烧成样品的体积密度随着烧成温度的升高而降低。烧成温度的升高可促使玻璃中晶体析出和长大,且析出晶相具有比CBS玻璃低的相对介电常数(εr),样品的εr随烧成温度的升高呈下降趋势。

目的探讨烧伤休克早期不同补液剂量对大面积烧伤合并脑水肿患儿预后的影响。方法回顾性分析新疆维吾尔自治区人民医院烧伤科2005年10月至2010年10月收治的大面积烧伤合并脑水肿患儿35例,按入院前补液量不同而导致脑水肿分为两组,A组20例为补液量不足组,B组15例为补液过量组,对比两组患儿多器官功能障碍综合征(MODS)的发生率及预后。结果 A组发生MODS(90.00%)较B组(33.33%)高,预后较差,两组比较差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论防治小儿大面积烧伤合并脑水肿的关键是早期、准确、有效的液体治疗。在小儿大面积烧伤休克早期,补液的"量"较"质"更加重要。缺血-再灌注损伤是诱发MODS的重要因素。

目的探讨大面积烧伤合并烧伤脓毒症行连续性肾替代疗法(CRRT)的时机和价值。方法将新疆维吾尔自治区人民医院2002年10月至2010年10月收治的33例大面积烧伤合并脓毒症患者按治疗方法不同分为试验组(A组)17例和对照组(B组)16例,两组患者确诊烧伤脓毒症后均行CRRT治疗24h,随后A组急诊行切痂植皮术,术后继续CRRT治疗。B组连续行CRRT治疗48h。观察两组患者CRRT治疗前及治疗后24h、32h、48h生命体征(体温、心率、呼吸)、血清生化指标(钠、氯、尿素氮、肌酐、动脉血氧分压)的变化及病死率。结果两组行CRRT治疗前生命体征和血清生化指标比较差异无统计学意义(P>0.05),行CRRT治疗后24h生命体征和血清生化指标均较治疗前有所改善,但差异仍无统计学意义(P>0.05)。A组治疗后32h、48h(手术切痂植皮后8h、24h)相关血清生化指标开始下降,各项生命体征趋于平稳,与B组相比差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。B组病死率(56.25%)明显高于A组(23.52%),差异有高度统计学意义(P<0.01)。结论及时、彻底的清创和有效的创面封闭,是救治大面积烧伤合并脓毒症的关键措施,CRRT在围手术期应用可降低急诊切痂手术的风险性,但无法根本逆转烧伤脓毒症病情的继续发展,不可过分依赖。
