Infection caus.d by the s.vere acute res.iratory s.ndrome coronavirus.2(s.Rs.CoV2)virus.res.ons.ble for the coronavirus.dis.as. 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,induces.s.mptoms.including increas.d inflammatory res.ons.,s.vere acute res.iratory s.ndrome(s.Rs.,cognitive dys.unction like brain fog,and cardiovas.ular ***-term effects.of s.Rs.CoV2 COVID-19 s.ndrome referred to as.pos.-COVID-19 s.ndrome on age-related progres.ive neurodegenerative dis.rders.s.ch as.Alzheimer's.dis.as. remain *** the targeted mis.xpres.ion of individual s.Rs.CoV2 proteins.in the retinal neurons.of the Dros.phila melanogas.er eye,we found that mis.xpres.ion of nons.ructural protein 3(Ns.3),a papain-like proteas.,ablates.the eye and generates.dark necrotic *** mis.xpres.ion of Ns.3 in the eye triggers.reactive oxygen s.ecies.production and leads.to apoptos.s.as.s.own by cell death reporters.terminal deoxynucleotidyl trans.eras.(TdT)dUTP Nick-end labeling(TUNEL)as.ay,and dihydroethidium ***,Ns.3 mis.xpres.ion activates.both apoptos.s.and autophagy mechanis.(s.to regulate tis.ue *** expres.ion of s.Rs.CoV2 Ns.3 in murine neuroblas.oma,Neuro-2a cells.s.gnificantly reduced the metabolic activity of thes. cells.and triggers.cell *** of s.Rs.CoV2 Ns.3 in an Alzheimer's.dis.as. trans.enic fly eye model(glas. multiple repeats.GMR]>amyloidβ42)further enhances.the neurodegenerative rough eye phenotype due to increas.d cell *** findings.s.gges. that s.Rs.CoV2 utilizes.Ns.3 protein to potentiate cell death res.ons. in a neurodegenerative dis.as. background that has.high pre-exis.ing levels.of neuroinflammation and cell death.

Parkins.n’s.dis.as. (PD) is.a neurodegenerative dis.as. that occurs.due to los. of nerve cells.that produce dopamine in the brain, affecting approximately 4 million people worldwide. PD patients.often feel an increas. in anxiety levels.daily. While there are medications.exercis.s.to help relieve anxiety, there are limited methods.to reduce anxiety without the help of a caretaker. As.a res.lt, MEDIC Foundation, a non-profit organization in Britis. Columbia, Canada, is.des.gning an automated s.s.em that cons.s.s.of a wris.band and an application which us.s.vi-bration therapy to help reduce anxiety of PD patients. Literature reviews.were conducted to document the project’s.needs. Phas. I of the project focus.d on de-veloping a prototype for the application and phas. II on developing the wris.-band. The team developed prototypes.of a wris.band that automatically applies.vibration near the median nerve as.the heart rate variability (HRV) deviates.away from the normal thres.old of the us.r, and an application that dis.lays.real-time heart rate variability s.gnals.as.well as.provides.for relaxation. The development of the prototype is.s.ill in early progres.. By creating this.automated s.s.em, we aim to provide a s.lution to s.nior PD patients.to relieve anxiety independently. .

Data were collected from a s.rvey of 198 res.ondents. categorized by their dis.ipline, s.hooling background, internet us.ge, and information retrieval preferences. Key findings.indicate that females.are more likely to plan their s.arches.in advance and prefer s.ructured methods.of information retrieval, s.ch as.us.ng library portals.and leading univers.ty webs.tes. Males. however, tend to us. web s.arch engines.and s.lf-archiving methods.more frequently. This.analys.s.provides.valuable ins.ghts.for educational ins.itutions.and libraries.to optimize their res.urces.and s.rvices.bas.d on us.r behavior patterns.
