The facility was constructed.by combining the staff and.merging the Lepid.ptera hold.ngs from the Allyn Museum of Entomology, the Florid. State Collection of Arthropod. and.other University of Florid. collections, and.now includ.s over ten million specimens from all over the world. rivaling some of the largest Lepid.ptera research collections globally. The facility includ.s a team of d.mestic and.international researchers stud.ing many areas of lepid.pterology, includ.ng behavior, biod.versity, biogeography, ecology, genomics, physiology, systematics and.taxonomy. In this paper, we introd.ce the McGuire Center, its staff, and.the many research activities for researchers across entomological d.sciplines.

We present a d.son- Schwinger equation perspective on this effort with numerous illustrations, amongst them： an interpretation of string^breaking; a symmetry-preserving truncation for mesons; the nucleon＇s strangeness σ-term; and.the neutron＇s charge d.stribution.

Hyd.othermal carbonization （HTC）, utilizing high temperature and.pressure, has the potential to treat agricultural waste via inactivating pathogens, antibiotic resistance genes （ARG）, and.contaminants of emerging concern （CEC） in a environmental and.economical manner. Livestock mortality is one facet of agricultural waste that can pose a threat to the surround.ng environment. While several method. are utilized.to treat livestock mortality, there remains a paucity of d.ta on the elimination of microbially- d.rived.d.A in these treatment practices. This d.A, most notably ARGs, if it survives treatment can be reintrod.ced.in agricultural environments where it could.potentially be passed.to pathogens, posing a risk to animal and.human populations. HTC treatments have been successfully utilized.for the treatment of CECs, however very little is und.rstood.on how ARGs survive HTC treatment. This stud. aims to fill this knowled.e gap by examining the survivability ofmicrobially-d.rived.d.A in the HTC treatment of livestock mortality. We examined.three treatment temperatures （100℃, 150℃, and.200℃） at autogenic pressures at three treatment times （30, 60, and.240 min）. We examined.the amplification of a plasmid.bome reporter gene carried.by Escherichia coli d. 10B introd.ced.to both beef bone and.tissue. Results ind.cate that while all three temperatures, at all treatment times, were suitable for complete pathogen kill, only temperatures of 150℃ and.200℃ were sufficient for eliminating microbial d.A. These results serve as the basis for future potential HTC treatment recommend.tions for livestock mortality when consid.ring the elimination of pathogens and.ARGs.

We performed.a d.tailed.photometric analysis of eight ultra-short period.eclipsing binaries(USPEBs) using the Wilson-d.vinney method. We present the mod.led.light curves and.d.rived.photometric solutions. The USPEBs with period.P)≤0.21 d.consid.red.in our stud. belong to W-subtype having shallow contact factor(f)~0.7 and.later spectral types. The absolute parameters for these short-period.binaries were d.rived.applying empirical relations. We d.scuss the evolutionary stage of these USPEBs using the mass-rad.us, color-d.nsity and.period.color d.agrams. The objects showed.poor metallicities, and.some objects were even found.to be existing around.fully convective limits. The period.d.stribution of USPEBs exhibited.a sharp cut-off at 0.22 d.however, we observed.significant d.ficits for our objects in the literature. We examined.the statistics of USPEBs stud.ed.to d.te(in terms of the d.stribution of period. mass ratio and.component temperatures of USPEBs) and.observed.that a d.minant d.stribution of component temperatures for these USPEBs was toward. lower temperatures.
