The deformation and associated optimum/uniquely fixed orientations play an important role in the syn-thesis of compound nuclei via cold and hot fusion reactions,respectively,at the lowest and highest barrier *** choice of optimum orientation(0_(op))for the'cold or elongated'and hot or cormpact'fusion configurations of quadrupole(β_(2))deformed nuclei depends only on the+/-signs ofβ_(2)-deformation[***.G:***.31,631-644(2005)].In our recent study[***.C 101,051601(R)2020],we proposed a new sct of Oopt(iferent from the values reported for quadrupole deformed nuclei)after the inclusion of octupole deformation(up to B3)*** the respective 0op1 of B3-deformed nuclei for cold and hot optimum orientations,we analyzed the im-pact of the soft-and rigid-pear shapes of octupole deformed nuclei on the fusion barrier characterstics(barrier height Vg and barrier position RB).This analysis is applied to approximately 200 spherical-plus B3 deformed nucle-ar partners,that is,^(16)O,^(18)Cat octupole deformed *** with the compact configuration,the elongated fu-sion configuration has a relatively larger impact on the fusion barrier and cross sections ow ing to the inclusion of de-formations up to *** agreement with available experimental data for the^(16)O+^(150)Sm reaction(β_(22)-0.205,β_(32)=0.055)also improves when the optimum orientation degree of freedom is fixed in view of octupole *** reinforces the fact that nuclear structure effects play an important role in the nuclear fusion ***,octu-pole deformed nuclei can be used for the synthesis of heavy and superheavy nuclei.

Within the framework of the dynamical cluster decay model （DCM）, the in evaporation cross-sections （σ1n） of cold fusion reactions （Pb and Bi targets） are calculated for ZCN = 104-113 superheavy nuclei. The calculations are carried out in the fixed range of excitation energy ECN = 15 ± 1 MeV, so that the comparative analysis of reaction dynamics can be worked out. First of all, the fission barriers （Bf ） and neutron separation energies （S1n） are estimated to account the decreasing cross-sections of cold fusion reactions. In addition to this, the importance of hot optimum orientations of β24-deformed nuclei over cold one is explored at fixed angular momentum and neck-length parameters. The hot optimum orientations support all the target-projectile （t,p） combinations, which are explored experimentally in the cold fusion reactions. Some new target-projectile combinations are also predicted for future exploration. Further, the In cross-sections are addressed for ZCN = 104-113 superheavy nuclei at comparable excitation energies which show the decent agrement with experimental data upto ZCN = 109 nuclei. Finally, to understand the dynamics of higher-Z superheavy nuclei, the cross-sections are also calculated at maximum available energies around the Coulomb barrier and the effect of non-sticking moment of inertia （INS） is also investigated at these energies.

The dynamical cluster-decay model (DCM) is employed to investigate the decay of ^(6870)Ge~* compound nuclei formed respectively via tightly (~4He) and loosely (~6He) bound projectiles, using ^(64)Zn target. The study is carried out over a wide energy range (E_(c.m.)～5 MeV to 16 MeV) by including the quadrupole deformations (β_(2i)) and optimum orientations (θ_i^(opt)) of the decaying fragments. The fusion cross-sections, obtained by adding various evaporation channels show nice agreement with the experimental data for ~4He+^(64)Zn reaction. The contribution from competing compound inelastic scattering channel is also analyzed particularly for ^(68)Ge~* nucleus at above barrier energies. On the other hand,the decrement in the fusion cross-sections of ^(70)Ge~* nuclear system is addressed by presuming that ^(65)Zn ER is formed via two different modes:(i) the αn evaporation of ^(70Ge)~* nucleus, and(ii) 1n-evaporation of ^(66)Zn~*nuclear system,formed via breakup and 2n-transfer channels due to halo structure of the ~6He projectile. Besides this, the suppression in2 np evaporation cross-sections suggests the contribution of another breakup and transfer process of ~6He i.e. ~4He+ ^(64)*** contribution of breakup+transfer channels for ~6He+^(64)Zn reaction is duly addressed by applying relevant energy corrections due to the breakup of "~6He" projectile into 2n and ~4He. In addition to this, the barrier lowering, angular momentum and energy dependence effects are also explored in view of the dynamics of chosen reactions.

Two equal collinear cracks with coalesced interior electric saturation zones are analytically studied for two-dimensional (2D) arbitrary polarized semipermeable piezo- electric media based on a modified strip saturated model. The strip saturated model is modified here by varying the strip saturated constant electric displacement condition to the polynomially varying electric displacement conditions. Based on the linear, quadratic, and cubic electric displacement conditions on the inner and outer saturated zones, dif- ferent modified strip saturated models are proposed and studied for two equal collinear cracks. With the Stroh formalism and the complex variable technique, these fracture problems are reduced into different types of non-homogeneous Riemann Hilbert problems in unknown generalized complex potential functions. These mathematical problems are then solved with the Riemann-Hilbert approach to obtain the stress and electric displace- ment components at any point of the domain. The explicit expressions for the outer saturated zone length, the crack opening potential (COP), the crack opening displace- ment (COD), and the local intensity factors (LIFs) are derived. A numerical study is presented for the modified strip saturated model in 2D arbitrary polarized semiperme- able PZT-4 material. The obtained results are compared with those of the strip saturated model, and the effects of the polynomially varying saturation condition on the saturated zones and the applied electrical loadings are presented.

Influence of feeding crimped kernel maize silage on the course of subclinical necrotic enteritis in a broiler disease model

This experiment was carried out with 375 male broilers(Ross 308) from days 1 to 28 to evaluate the influence of crimped kernel maize silage(CkMS) on the manifestation of subclinical necrotic enteritis,microbiota counts, organic acid production and relative weights of gastrointestinal segments. A necrotic enteritis disease model was applied. Birds were allocated into 3 different dietary treatments: a maizebased feed(MBF, control diet), and 2 diets supplemented with 15%(CkMS15) or 30%(CkMS30) of crimped ensiled kernel maize. The disease model involved a 10-time overdose of an attenuated live vaccine against coccidiosis given orally on day 17, followed by oral inoculation of Clostridium perfringens Type A(S48,10~8 to 10~9 bacteria/bird) twice daily on days 18,19, 20 and 21. Scoring of intestinal lesions was performed on days 22, 23, 25 and 28. Ileal and caecal digesta samples were collected for the quantification of selected bacterial groups and organic acids. The results showed that there was no effect of dietary treatments on small intestinal lesion scores(P> 0.05). Lesions scores peaked on days 23 and 25 and decreased again on day 28(P = 0.001). No effect of age on microbiota counts was observed, but feeding of CkMS30 reduced the number of coliforms in ileal contents(P = 0.01). Dietary treatments did not affect organic acid concentrations in ileum and caeca, but there was an effect of age; butyric acid was higher on days 22, 23 and 25 than on day 28(P = 0.04). Acetic acid and propionic acid concentrations in caeca were the highest on days 22 and 28 but the lowest on days 23 and 25. Relative gizzard and caeca weights were increased, and relative ileum weights were decreased when birds were fed CkMS30(P kMS in broiler diets had no effects on the course of necrotic enteritis but had potential benefits in terms of inhibition of potentially harmful microorganisms.

Tunica albuginea versus buccal mucosa graft urethroplasty for anterior urethral stricture: A prospective randomised pilot study

Objective:The objective of the study was to compare the outcome of tunica albuginea urethroplasty(TAU)and buccal mucosa graft(BMG)urethroplasty for anterior urethral ***:Thirty patients who met the inclusion criteria were randomised into two groups:TAU(Group A)and BMG urethroplasty(Group B).Surgical outcome was evaluated with pre-and post-operative work-up involving retrograde urethrogram,voiding cystourethrogram,uroflowmetry,and *** were followed up till 1 ***:Mean duration of surgery was statistically significant between two groups(p=0.0005).Maximum urine flow rate was comparable when compared between two groups(p=0.22)but statistically significant when compared pre-and post-operatively(p<0.001).At follow-up of 1 year,the successful outcomes were 80% in Group A and 87%in Group B.A total of five patients who had unsuccessful results required redo *** were minimal in both the ***:TAU provides outcomes equivalent to those of BMG *** has less operative time,easy to perform,and beneficial in patients with poor oral hygiene.

Hierarchical Ni CoO/PANI/CNTs hybrid composites were designed and fabricated having a layer of Ni CoOon the surface of PANI encapsulated CNTs with different morphologies. Physicochemical attributes of the synthesized composites were examined by FTIR, UV–visible and X-ray diffraction（XRD）techniques. Morphological aspects were evaluated by field-emission scanning microscopy（FESEM）,electron diffraction spectroscopy（EDS）, high resolution transmission electron microscopy（HRTEM） and selected area electron diffraction（SAED） studies. Electrochemical measurements revealed an improved specific capacitance of 2250 F/g at a scan rate of 5 m V/s and 2000 F/g at a current density of 1 A/g with good rate capability using a three-electrode system. These enhanced features are achieved from the well designed nanostructure and the synergistic contributions of individual components in the electrode material.

Artificial gut models including both the gastric and intestinal phases have been used in poultry research for decades to predict the digestibility of nutrients,the efficacy of feed enzymes and additives,and caecal ***,the models used in the past are static and cannot be used to predict interactions between the feed,gut environment and *** is imperative that a standard artificial gut model for poultry is established,to enable these interactions to be examined without continual reliance on *** ensure the validity of an artificial model,it should be validated with in vivo *** review describes current practices in the use of artificial guts in research,their importance in poultry nutrition studies and highlights an opportunity to develop a dynamic gut model for poultry to reduce the number of in vivo experiments.
