This paper proposes a cruise control system(CCS)to improve an electric vehicle's range,which is a significant hurdle in market penetration of electric vehicles.A typical driver or a conventional adaptive cruise control(ACC)controls an electric vehicle(EV)such that it follows a lead vehicle or drives close to the speed *** driving behaviour may cause the EV to cruise significantly above the average traffic *** may later require the EV to slow down due to the traffic ripples,wasting a part of the EV's kinetic *** addition,the EV will also waste higher speed dependent dissipative energies,which are spent to overcome the aerodynamic drag force and rolling *** paper proposes a CCS to address this *** proposed CCS controls an EV's speed such that it prevents the vehicle from speeding significantly above the average traffic *** addition,it maintains a safe inter-vehicular distance from the lead *** design and simulation analysis of the proposed CCS were in a MATLAB simulation *** simulation environment includes an energy consumption model of an EV,which was developed using data collected from an electric bus operation in *** the simulation analysis,the proposed system reduced the EV's energy consumption by approximately 36.6%in urban drive cycles and 15.4%in motorway drive ***,the experimental analysis using a Nissan e-NV200on two urban routes showed approximately 30.8%energy savings.

Carcinoma of the gallbladder (CaGB) is the fifth commonest gastrointestinal tract cancer and is endemic in several countries. The interplay of genetic susceptibility, infections, and life style factors has been proposed to be responsible for carcinogenesis of gallbladder. Persistence of infection leading to chronic inflammation, and production of certain toxins and metabolites with carcinogenic potentials, by certain bacteria has been speculated to be involved in the transformation of the gallbladder epithelium. Therefore, any bacteria that have evolved to acquire both of the above carcinogenic mechanisms can cause cancer. Salmonella typhi has been found to be prominently associated with CaGB. Chronic typhoid carriage (persistence) and production of mediators of chronic infl ammation and a genotoxic toxin (cytotoxic distending toxin, CdtB) are also known for this bacterium. Furthermore, the natural concentrating function of the gallbladder might amplify the carcinogenic effect of the mediators of carcinogenesis. In addition to S. typhi, certain species of Helicobacter (H. bilis and H. hepaticus) and Escherichia coli have also been implicated in carcinogenesis. As the isolation rate is verypoor with the presently available culture techniques, the existence of bacteria in a viable but non-cultivable state is quite likely; therefore, sensitive and specif ic molecular techniques might reveal the etiological role of bacterial infection in gallbladder carcinogenesis. If bacteria are found to be causing cancers, then eradication of such infections might help in reducing the incidence of some cancers.

The present study investigated the influence of substrate temperature(Ts)and working pressure(P(Ar))on tailoring the properties of nanocrystalline(nc)molybdenum(Mo)films fabricated by radio-frequency magnetron *** structural,morphological,electrical and optical properties of nc-Mo films were evaluated in *** Mo films exhibited(110)orientation with average crystallite size varying from 9 to 22(±1)nm on increasing *** with structural data,the electrical resistivity decreased from 55μΩcm to 10μΩcm,which is the lowest among all the Mo *** Mo films deposited under variable P(Ar).the(110)peak intensity decrement coupled with peak broadening on increasing P(Ar).Lower deposition pressure yielded densely packed thin films with superior structural properties along with low resistivity of 15μΩ*** conditions to produce high quality Mo films with excellent structural,morphological,electrical and optical characteristics for utilization in solar cells as back contact layers were identified.

BACkGROUND Transfusion transmissible infections(TTIs)are illnesses spread through contaminated blood or blood *** India,screening for TTIs such as hepatitis B virus(HBV),hepatitis C virus(HCV),human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)-I/II,malaria,and syphilis is mandatory before blood ***,HCV,HBV,and HIV are the leading viruses causing mortality,affecting millions of people globally,including those with co-infections of HIV/HCV and HIV/*** highlight the impact of TTIs on life expectancy and health risks,such as liver cirrhosis,cancer,and other diseases in individuals with chronic ***,millions of blood donations take place annually,emphasizing the importance of maintaining blood *** To study the prevalence of TTIs,viz.,HBV,HCV,HIV I/II,syphilis,and malaria parasite(MP),among different blood donor *** The study assessed the prevalence of TTIs among different blood donor groups in Delhi,*** included total donors,in-house donors,total camp donors,institutional camp donors,and community camp *** for HIV,HBV,and HCV were done using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,while syphilis was tested with rapid plasma reagins and MP rapid card *** prevalence of HBV,HCV,HIV,and syphilis,expressed as *** in infection rates between the groups were analyzed usingχ²tests and P-values(less than 0.05).RESULTS The study evaluated TTIs among 42158 blood donors in *** overall cumulative frequency of TTIs in total blood donors was 2.071%,and the frequencies of HBV,HCV,HIV-I/II,venereal disease research laboratory,and MP were 1.048%,0.425%,0.221%,0.377%,and 0.0024%,***-house donors,representing 37656 donors,had the highest transfusion transmissible infection(TTI)prevalence at 2.167%.Among total camp donors(4502 donors),TTIs were identified in 1.266%of donors,while community camp donors(2439 donors)exhibited a prevalence of 1.558%.Institutional camp donors(2063 donors)had the l

This article presents a mathematical model addressing a scenario involving a hybrid nanofluid flow between two infinite parallel plates. One plate remains stationary, while the other moves downward at a squeezing velocity. The space between these plates contains a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. A mixture of water-based fluid with gold(Au) and silicon dioxide(Si O2) nanoparticles is formulated. In contrast to the conventional Fourier's heat flux equation, this study employs the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux equation. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the flow direction, invoking magnetohydrodynamic(MHD) effects. Further, the model accounts for Joule heating, which is the heat generated when an electric current passes through the fluid. The problem is solved via NDSolve in MATHEMATICA. Numerical and statistical analyses are conducted to provide insights into the behavior of the nanomaterials between the parallel plates with respect to the flow, energy transport, and skin *** findings of this study have potential applications in enhancing cooling systems and optimizing thermal management strategies. It is observed that the squeezing motion generates additional pressure gradients within the fluid, which enhances the flow rate but reduces the frictional drag. Consequently, the fluid is pushed more vigorously between the plates, increasing the flow velocity. As the fluid experiences higher flow rates due to the increased squeezing effect, it spends less time in the region between the plates. The thermal relaxation, however, abruptly changes the temperature, leading to a decrease in the temperature fluctuations.

BACkGROUND:Xanthogranulomatous cholecystitis(XGC)is an uncommon variant of chronic cholecystitis,characterized by marked thickening of the gallbladder wall and dense local *** often mimics a gallbladder carcinoma(GBC), and may coexist with GBC,leading to a diagnostic dilemma. Furthermore,the premalignant nature of this entity is not *** study was undertaken to assess the p53,PCNA and beta-catenin expression in XGC in comparison to GBC and chronic inflammation. METHODS:Sections from paraffin-embedded blocks of surgically resected specimens of GBC(69 cases),XGC(65), chronic cholecystitis(18)and control gallbladder(10)were stained with the monoclonal antibodies to p53 and PCNA, and a polyclonal antibody to beta-catenin.p53 expression was scored as the percentage of nuclei *** expression was scored as the product of the percentage of nuclei stained and the intensity of the staining(1-3).A cut-off value of 80 for this score was taken as a positive result. Beta-catenin expression was scored as type of expression-membranous,cytoplasmic or nuclear staining. 1-{4-[（2-hydroxy-benzylidene）amino]phenyl}ethanone functionalized silica gel was synthesized and used as a highly efficient, selective and reusable solid phase extractant for separation and preconcentration of trace amount of Zn（II） from environmental matrices. The adsorbent was characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FT-IR）, elemental analysis,~3C CPMAS NMR spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, thermogravimetric analysis （TGA） and BET surface area analysis. The dependence of zinc extraction on various analytical parameters such as pH, type and amount of eluent, sample flow rate and interfering ions were investigated in detail. The material exhibited superior adsorption efficiency for Zn（II） with high metal loading capacity of 1.0 mmol/g under optimum conditions. After adsorption, the recovery （〉 98%） of metal ions was accomplished using 1.0 mol/L HNO3 as an eluent. The sorbent was also regenerated by microwave treatment in milder acidic environment （0.1 mol/L HNO3）. The lower detection limit and preconcentration factor of the present method were found out to be 0.04 ~tg/L and 312.5 respectively. The modified silica surface possessed excellent selectivity for the target analytes and the adsorption/desorption process remained effective for at least ten consecutive cycles. The optimized procedure was successfully implemented for the extraction of Zn（II） from mycorrhizal treated fly ash and pharmaceutical samples with reproducible results.
