The Quaternary infilling of a circular structure located in Bajada del Diablo,Chubut Province,Argentina has been proposed as a crater strewn field in previous *** we report the finding of about 65 microspherules collected in a trench excavated in the center of the *** majority of handpicked specimens are single,but some of them exhibit compound *** single specimens are spherical with a mean size of 137 nm,whereas the more complex samples show peduncles and drop *** crystal growth is recognized in the internal structure of some broken *** chemical composition from the surface and center of microspherules was determined by energy dispersive spectrometry employing *** EMPA and XRD analysis indicate that the microspherules are mainly composed of Fe and O with magnetite,Fe0with subordinate *** consideration of possible anthropogenic and volcanic origins,these spherulites are ascribed to an extraterrestrial *** accumulation rate of 47 microspherules per m2/yr is estimated for the studied *** value is two orders of magnitude higher than the reference flux for cosmic dust estimated for the last 1 Ma in the Transantarctic *** microspherules might have been generated as a byproduct of asteroid entry in the atmosphere.

Allograft Survival without Immunosuppression in Landrace Pigs after 90 Days

Allotransplantation is helpful in order to maintain the life in some cases, but immunosuppression causes collateral effects. In this study, we were reporting the results of allografts in Landrace pigs, which were implanted on collagen-generator devices. After 2 weeks of implantation, the devices were carried out to assess allograft viability at 30, 60 and 90 days post implant. The implanted cells were islets of Langerhans and the aim was to prove their presence by immunohistochemistry for insulin and glucagon. The results were positive at 30, 60 and 90 days post implant. It demonstrated that the collagen-generator device permits the cell viability without using anti-rejected drugs or immunomodulating cells.

针对四足机器人整机对单个支撑腿的要求,对机械腿结构特性和控制系统展开研究。基于对四足动物腿部生理结构分析,提出具有两个主动关节和一个被动关节的四足机器人仿生腿结构,并完成运动学特性分析。通过分析仿生四足机器人控制系统功能与性能要求,提出具有开放性、模块化和结构紧凑特点的仿生四足机器人控制系统方案,基于DSP设计并实现仿生腿控制系统。实验证明仿生腿结构合理,控制系统稳定可靠且具有良好的扩展性,仿生腿系统可作为下层模块集成到仿生四足机器人系统。

PGE2 as a Morphine-Seeking Behavior Modulator in the Place Preference Model

The opioid epidemic has become one of the most concerning public health issues in the world, and currently does not have an adequate treatment available. It has been observed that, despite opioids being highly addictive, patients with chronic inflammation are less likely to develop an opioid dependence. This protective effect may be caused by Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) as it has been found that non-painful carrageenan inflammation reduces morphine induced reward. Taking this into account, the aim of this study was to determine if the direct administration of PGE2 into the central nervous system could modulate the morphine-induced reward. We used the morphine-conditioned place preference (CPP) model with and without PGE2 or PGE2R antagonist in order to test the reward response. We found a significant reduction of morphine-induced reward after administering PGE2. Moreover, we found that this effect could be reversed by PGE2 receptor antagonism. Our data suggest that PGE2 may reduce morphine-induced reward making it an important drug-target research alternative to explore the possibility of modifying or even preventing opioid addiction.

Morphometric Analysis on Shape Transition during Growth of the Red Snapper (<em>Lutjanus campechanus</em>, Poey, 1860)

The red snapper Lutjanus campechanus (Poey, 1860) has a high commercial value that sustains an important fishery in Mexico. In this study, the patterns in morphological variations from early juvenile to adult stages were assessed by geometric methods (GM) in 194 organisms. Changes in shape were more evident and rapid in the early juvenile stage and decreased during adulthood. The principal components analysis of shape (Relative Warp Analysis, or RWA) identified size and body depth as the main sources of variance associated to both juvenile and adult organisms. The outline of the head and the tail showed the most noticeable differences following the ontogenic pathway visualized by thin-plate splines indicating that the ontogenetic pathway of the upper half and the lower half of the dorsal head profile (DHP) are in relatively opposite directions than those from the tail that bends ventrally. The Two-Block Partial Least Square analysis (2B-PLS) and their CR coefficients showed that the two modules had a moderate linear trend (p = 0.001). Although the blocks have morphological changes at different rates, there is a moderate synchrony in growth by modules. This study is the first to report the use of geometrical morphometry in L. campechanus in Mexico.

Rainy years especially in the ripening period end up weakening grape quality, thus making it unsatisfactory for winemaking. The possibility of using wine grape varieties in the preparation of juices presents an alternative to the grapes that do not reach ideal harvest for winemaking. Assuming that the preparation of juice from wine grapes can be an alternative to these grapes which in harvests are considered poor for winemaking and can be harvested in advance, thus preventing losses from late cycle disease and excessive spending on phytosanitary treatments, the present study aimed to evaluate the juices made from “Cabernet Sauvignon”，“Merlot” and “Chardonnay” grapes harvested at different points of maturation, and subsequently compare with current legislation. Physicochemical analysis of titratable acidity (TA), soluble solids (SS), relative density, total sugar, alcohol, volatile acidity and SS/TA ratio was carried out on the juices produced at three sampling points (15, 17 and 19 °Brix). The results showed variability between treatment factors (cultivars and points of maturation). Analyses of titratable acidity, soluble solids, SS/TA ratio, relative density, total sugars and volatile acidity showed significance for the interaction between the tested treatment factors. For the variable alcohol, there was no significance for the effect of variety, maturation stage or the interaction between the factors of treatment. It was concluded that Cabernet Sauvignon juice met the parameters set by law at 17 °Brix, while Chardonnay and Merlot juices showed consistent results only at harvest point 19 °Brix.
