Convection-perm.tting m.deling allows us to understand m.chanism. that influence rainfall in specific ***,m.crophysics param.terization(m.) and planetary boundary layer(PBL) schem.s rem.in an im.ortant source of uncertainty,affecting rainfall intensity,occurrence,duration,and ***,we study the sensitivity of rainfall to three m. [Weather Research and Forecasting(WRF) Single-m.m.nt 6-class(WSm.),Thom.son,and m.rrison] and two PBL [the Yonsei University(YSU) and m.llor–Yam.da Nakanishi Niino(m.NN)] schem.s with a convection-perm.tting resolution(4 km. over northwestern South Am.rica(NWSA).Sim.lations were perform.d by using the WRF m.del and the results were evaluated against soundings,rain gauges,and satellite data,considering the spatio-tem.oral variability of rainfall over diverse regions prone to deep convection in *** and PBL schem.s largely influenced sim.lated rainfall,with better results for the less com.utationally expensive WSm. m. and YSU PBL *** rain gauges and satellite estim.tes,sim.lations with m.rrison m. overestim.ted rainfall,especially westward of the Andes,whereas the m.NN PBL underestim.ted precipitation in the Am.zon–Savannas *** found that the uncertainty in the rainfall representation is highly dependent on the region,with a higher influence of m. in the Colom.ian Pacific and PBL in the Am.zon–Savannas *** analyzing rainfall-related processes,the selection of both m. and PBL param.terizations exerted a large influence on the sim.lated lower tropospheric m.isture flux and m.isture *** schem.s significantly influenced the downward shortwave radiation,with m.NN sim.lating a greater am.unt of low clouds,which decreased the radiation ***,latent heat fluxes were greater for YSU,favoring m.ist convection and *** schem.s had a m.rked im.act on vertical ***,m.rrison m. showed stronger convection and higher precipitation rates,which is assoc

The recent progress on the liquid crystalline(LC)dispersion of two-dim.nsional(2D)transition m.tal carbides(m.enes)has propelled this unique nanom.terial into a realm.of high-perform.nce architectures,such as film. and ***ally,com.ared to architectures m.de from.typical non-LC dispersions,those derived from.LC m.ene possess tunable ion transport routes and enhanced conductivity and physical properties,dem.nstrating great potential for a wide range of applications,such as electronic displays,sm.rt glasses,and therm.l cam.uflage *** review provides an overview of the progress achieved in the production and processing of LC m.enes,including critical discussions on satisfying the required conditions for LC *** also highlights how acquiring LC m.enes has broadened the current solution-based m.nufacturing paradigm.of m.ene-based architectures,resulting in unprecedented perform.nces in their conventional applications(e.g.,energy storage and strain sensing)and in their em.rging uses(e.g.,tribology).Opportunities for innovation and foreseen challenges are also discussed,offering future research directions on how to further benefit from.the exciting potential of LC m.enes with the aim.of prom.ting their widespread use in designing and m.nufacturing advanced m.terials and applications.

Astrocytes,the m.in population of glial cells in the central nervous system.CNS),exert essential tasks for the control of brain tissue hom.ostasis,supporting neuron and other glial cell activity from.the developm.ntal stage to adult *** m.intain the optim.l functionality of the brain,astroglial cells are particularly com.itted to reacting to every change in tissue hom.ostatic conditions,from.m.ld m.difications of the physiological environm.nt,a process called astrocyte activation,to the m.re severe alterations occurring in pathological situations causing astrocyte reactivity or reactive astrogliosis(Escartin et al.,2021).During these reactive states,astrocytes m.unt an active,progressive response encom.assing m.rphological,m.lecular,and interactional rem.deling,leading to the acquisition of new functions and the loss of others,whose intensity,duration,and reversibility are dependent on the nature of the stim.lus and regulated in a context-specific m.nner.

m.tochondrial Transcription Factor A （TFAm. is a nuclear-encoded factor present in m.tochondria from.allkinds of anim.ls, even with a hom.logous form.in yeast, which has strongly and progressively gained an em.nent relevance in the regulation of m.tochondrial DNA （m.DNA） functions. This is due to the various functions perform.d by the protein, which cover a very wide scenario including： replication, transcription, m.intenance and eventually repair of m.DNA m.lecules. In consideration of so m.ny different roles it plays, it can be understood there is a deep interest in its regulation of expression and activity as well as its eventual involvem.nt in pathologies related to a decreased functionality/presence of the m.tochondrial genom. and the consequences of TFAm.induced overexpression.

Reperfusion therapy is the preferred treatm.nt for ischem.c stroke,but is hindered by its short treatm.nt window,especially in patients with diabetes whose reperfusion after prolonged ischem.a is often accom.anied by exacerbated *** m.chanism. underlying exacerbated hem.rrhage are not fully *** study aim.d to identify this m.chanism.by inducing prolonged 2-hour transient intralum.nal m.ddle cerebral artery occlusion in diabetic Ins2Akita/+m.ce to m.m.c patients with diabetes undergoing delayed m.chanical *** results showed that at as early as 2 hours after reperfusion,Ins2Akita/+m.ce exhibited rapid developm.nt of neurological deficits,increased infarct and hem.rrhagic transform.tion,together with exacerbated down-regulation of tight-junction protein ZO-1 and upregulation of blood-brain barrier-disrupting m.trix m.tallopeptidase 2 and m.trix m.tallopeptidase 9 when com.ared with norm.glycem.c Ins2+/+*** indicated that diabetes led to the rapid com.rom.se of vessel integrity im.ediately after reperfusion,and consequently earlier death and further aggravation of hem.rrhagic transform.tion 22 hours after *** observation was associated with earlier and stronger up-regulation of pro-angiogenic vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and its downstream.phospho-Erk1/2 at 2 hours after reperfusion,which was suggestive of prem.ture angiogenesis induced by early VEGF up-regulation,resulting in rapid vessel disintegration in diabetic *** reticulum.stress-related pro-apoptotic C/EBP hom.logous protein was overexpressed in challenged Ins2Akita/+m.ce,which suggests that the exacerbated VEGF up-regulation m.y be caused by overwhelm.ng endoplasm.c reticulum.stress under diabetic *** conclusion,the results m.m.cked com.lications in patients with diabetes undergoing delayed m.chanical throm.ectom.,and diabetes-induced accelerated VEGF up-regulation is likely to underlie exacerbated hem.rrhagic transform.t
