Cationic ordering transition in oxygen-redox layered oxide cathodes

Understanding the structural origin of the competition between oxygen 2p and transition-metal 3d orbitals in oxygen-redox(OR)layered oxides is eminently desirable for exploring reversible and high-energy-density Li/Na-ion cathodes.Here,we reveal the correlation between cationic ordering transition and OR degradation in ribbon-ordered P3-Na_(0.6)Li_(0.2)Mn_(0.8)O_(2) via in situ structural analysis.Comparing two different voltage windows,the OR capacity can be improved approximately twofold when suppressing the in-plane cationic ordering transition.We find that the intralayer cationic migration is promoted by electrochemical reduction from Mn^(4+)to Jahn–Teller Mn^(3+)and the concomitant NaO_(6) stacking transformation from triangular prisms to octahedra,resulting in the loss of ribbon ordering and electrochemical decay.First-principles calculations reveal that Mn^(4+)/Mn^(3+)charge ordering and alignment of the degenerate eg orbital induce lattice-level collective Jahn–Teller distortion,which favors intralayer Mn-ion migration and thereby accelerates OR degradation.These findings unravel the relationship between in-plane cationic ordering and OR reversibility and highlight the importance of superstructure protection for the rational design of reversible OR-active layered oxide cathodes.

To secure power system operations,practical dispatches in industries place a steady power transfer limit on critical inter-corridors,rather than high-dimensional and strong nonlinear stability constraints.However,computational complexities lead to over-conservative pre-settings of transfer limit,which further induce undesirable and non-technical congestion of power transfer.To conquer this barrier,a scenario-classification hybrid-based banding method is proposed.A cluster technique is adopted to separate similarities from historical and generated operating condition dataset.With a practical rule,transfer limits are approximated for each operating cluster.Then,toward an interpretable online transfer limit decision,costsensitive learning is applied to identify cluster affiliation to assign a transfer limit for a given operation.In this stage,critical variables that affect the transfer limit are also picked out via mean impact value.This enables us to construct low-complexity and dispatcher-friendly rules for fast determination of transfer limit.The numerical case studies on the IEEE 39-bus system and a real-world regional power system in China illustrate the effectiveness and conservativeness of the proposed method.

Adding PD-1 blockade in the neoadjuvant regimens for locally advanced rectal cancer(LARC)patients with microsatellite stable(MsS)/mismatch repair-proficient(pMMR)tumors is an attractive,but debatable strategy.This phase 2,multicenter,prospective,single-arm study enrolled patients from 6 centers from June 2021 to November 2022.Locally advanced rectal cancer(LARC,cT_(3-4a)N_(0)M_(0) and cT_(1-4a)N_(1-2)M_(0))patients aged≥18 years with the distance from distal border of tumor to anal verge≤10 cm(identified by Magnetic Resonance Imaging)were qualifed for inclusion.The patients received long-course radiotherapy(50 Gy/25 fractions,2 Gy/fraction,5 days/week)and three 21-day cycles capecitabine(850-1000 mg/m2,bid,po,day1-14)and three 21-day cycles tislelizumab(200 mg,iv.gtt,day8)as neoadjuvant.Total mesorectal excision(TME)was 6-12 weeks after the end of radiotherapy to achieve radical resection.A total of 50 patients were enrolled in this study.The pathological complete response rate was 40.0%[20/50,95%confidence interval(CI):27.61-53.82%],while 15(30.0%,95%CI:19.1-43.75%),9(18.0%,95%CI:9.77-30.8%),2(4.0%,95%CI:1.10-13.46%)patients respectively achieved grade 1,2,and 3 tumor regression.Treatment-related adverse events(TRAEs)occurred in 28(56.0%)LARC patients,including 26(52.0%)with grade I-II and 2(4.0%)with grade II(1 with grade 3 immune-related colitis and 1 with grade 3 rash).PD-1 blockade plus long-course chemoradiotherapy(CRT)showed promising therapeutic effects according to pathological complete response rate and is well-tolerated in LARC patients.A larger randomized controlled study is desired to further validate the above findings.

We previously demonstrated that normal high-density lipoprotein(nHDL)can promote angiogenesis,whereas HDL from patients with coronary artery disease(d HDL)is dysfunctional and impairs angiogenesis.Autophagy plays a critical role in angiogenesis,and HDL regulates autophagy.However,it is unclear whether n HDL and d HDL regulate angiogenesis by affecting autophagy.Endothelial cells(ECs)were treated with n HDL and d HDL with or without an autophagy inhibitor.Autophagy,endothelial nitric oxide synthase(e NOS)expression,miRNA expression,nitric oxide(NO)production,superoxide anion(O2^(·-))generation,EC migration,and tube formation were evaluated.n HDL suppressed the expression of miR-181a-5p,which promotes autophagy and the expression of e NOS,resulting in NO production and the inhibition of O2^(·-)generation,and ultimately increasing in EC migration and tube formation.d HDL showed opposite effects compared to n HDL and ultimately inhibited EC migration and tube formation.We found that autophagy-related protein 5(ATG5)was a direct target of miR-181a-5p.ATG5 silencing or miR-181a-5p mimic inhibited n HDL-induced autophagy,e NOS expression,NO production,EC migration,tube formation,and enhanced O2^(·-)generation,whereas overexpression of ATG5 or miR-181a-5p inhibitor reversed the above effects of d HDL.ATG5 expression and angiogenesis were decreased in the ischemic lower limbs of hypercholesterolemic low-density lipoprotein receptor null(LDLr^(-/-))mice when compared to C57BL/6 mice.ATG5 overexpression improved angiogenesis in ischemic hypercholesterolemic LDLr^(-/-)mice.Taken together,nHDL was able to stimulate autophagy by suppressing miR-181a-5p,subsequently increasing e NOS expression,which generated NO and promoted angiogenesis.In contrast,d HDL inhibited angiogenesis,at least partially,by increasing miR-181a-5p expression,which decreased autophagy and e NOS expression,resulting in a decrease in NO production and an increase in O2^(·-)generation.Our findings reveal a novel mechanism by which HDL affects angiogenesis b

The multivalency of bioligands in living systems brings inspiration for not only the discovery of biological mechanisms but also the design of extracellular matrix(ECM)-mimicking biomaterials.However,designing controllable multivalency construction strategies is still challenging.Herein,we synthesized a series of well-defined multivalent antimicrobial peptide polymers(mAMPs)by clicking ligand molecules onto polymers prepared by reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization.The multiple cationic ligands in the mAMPs could enhance the local disturbance of the anionic phospholipid layer of the bacterial membrane through multivalent binding,leading to amplification of the bactericidal effect.In addition to multivalency-enhanced antibacterial activity,mAMPs also enable multivalency-assisted hydrogel fabrication with an ECM-like dynamic structure.The resultant hydrogel with self-healing and injectable properties could be successfully employed as an antibacterial biomaterial scaffold to treat infected skin wounds.The multivalency construction strategy presented in this work provides new ideas for the biomimetic design of highly active and dynamic biomaterials for tissue repair and regeneration.

Dynamic detection method for falling ears of maize harvester based on improved YOLO-V4

Traditional maize ear harvesters mainly rely on manual identification of fallen maize ears,which cannot realize real-time detection of ear falling.The improved You Only Look Once-V4(YOLO-V4)algorithm is combined with the channel pruning algorithm to detect the dropped ears of maize harvesters.K-means clustering algorithm is used to obtain a prior box matching the size of the dropped ears,which improves the Intersection Over Union(IOU).Compare the effect of different activation functions on the accuracy of the YOLO-V4 model,and use the Mish activation function as the activation function of this model.Improve the calculation of the regression positioning loss function,and use the CEIOU loss function to balance the accuracy of each category.Use improved Adam optimization function and multi-stage learning optimization technology to improve the accuracy of the YOLO-V4 model.The channel pruning algorithm is used to compress the model and distillation technology is used in the fine-tuning of the model.The final model size was only 10.77%before compression,and the test set mean Average Precision(mAP)was 93.14%.The detection speed was 112 fps,which can meet the need for real-time detection of maize harvester ears in the field.This study can provide technical reference for the detection of the ear loss rate of intelligent maize harvesters.

In order to realize the intelligent identification of maize leaf diseases for accurate prevention and control,this study proposed a maize disease detection method based on improved MobileNet V3-small,using a UAV to collect maize disease images and establish a maize disease dataset in a complex context,and explored the effects of data expansion and migration learning on model recognition accuracy,recall rate,and F1-score instructive evaluative indexes,and the results show that the two approaches of data expansion and migration learning effectively improved the accuracy of the model.The structured compression of MobileNet V3-small bneck layer retains only 6 layers,the expansion multiplier of each layer was redesigned,32-fold fast downsampling was used in the first layer,and the location of the SE module was optimized.The improved model had an average accuracy of 79.52%in the test set,a recall of 77.91%,an F1-score of 78.62%,a model size of 2.36 MB,and a single image detection speed of 9.02 ms.The detection accuracy and speed of the model can meet the requirements of mobile or embedded devices.This study provides technical support for realizing the intelligent detection of maize leaf diseases.

Directional emission in X-cut lithium niobate microresonators without chaos dynamics

We systematically investigate the field distribution of the transverse electric modes in X-cut lithium niobate disks as an example of circular microcavities with anisotropic refractive index. A conserved quantity is discovered, which indicates the absence of chaos that generally exists in deformed microcavities and leads to a nontrivial directional emission. The emission directionality was theoretically investigated and experimentally verified by exciting highorder modes of an X-cut lithium niobate microresonator assisted with second harmonics. The field distribution analysis can enrich the knowledge in designing photonic devices that need precise control of field distribution,such as phase matching in nonlinear processes. Furthermore, the discovered emission phenomenon is momentous in enhancing and controlling communications between on-chip photonic devices.

基于多项式拟合的标定方法可在缺乏相机曝光时间的条件下,获取相机响应函数(CRF)曲线和图像曝光比,具备广泛的适用性。然而该方法存在迭代发散和标定精度不高问题,影响其实际应用。本文通过分析传统多项式拟合标定方法流程,发现在全局误差函数条件下,标定数据集合中存在大量无效项,既减少了有效标定数据,又降低了图像曝光比迭代计算精度。针对这一问题,提出了一种改进的联合局部误差函数标定方法,可在两幅曝光相近的图像间选取标定数据,避免引入无效项,使得计算多项式系数和曝光比的数据一致。在公开数据集和某工业相机拍摄数据集上的标定结果表明,改进方法具有较好的收敛性,相比于传统方法,颜色三通道CRF曲线分布更加紧凑,通道间曝光比平均偏差分别减少了49.83%和42.25%。

Controlling properties of crystalline solids by light remains a challenge because the lack of intrinsic structural flexibility limits the necessary molecular mobility for photoisomerization. In this work, we reported a series of visible-light-responsive covalent organic frameworks (COFs) by introducing donor-acceptor Stenhouse adducts (DASAs) with various electron-withdrawing moieties via a post-modified strategy. The DASAs-functionalized COFs exhibit distorted honeycomb layered topology with long-range periodicity. The DASAs grafted on the skeletons are pointing into the nanopores of COFs, which weakens intermolecular aggregation and ensures sufficient free volume to undergo reversible isomerization between linear and cyclic states. Furthermore, the crystalline and optical properties of COFs as well as the geometrical size and hydrophilicity inside the nanopores were reversibly controlled by alternating visible light irradiation and heat. Finally, methyl violet was used as the cargo molecules to be immobilized into the nanopores of COFs, which showed fast release under controlling of visible light.
