Radioactive Elements in Phosphorous Fertilizer —Basalt Flour-Recommended Mineral Fertilizer

The article presents the concept of using powdered basalt as a mineral fertilizer and replacing radioactive phosphate rock with it. In addition to the characteristics of phosphate rock deposits and the ecological effects of the use of phosphorus fertilizers, the issue of the genesis of phosphate deposits was discussed. Phosphate rock contains natural radioactive elements whose origin is debatable. It is generally accepted that all elements are formed in a thermonuclear fusion reaction. The natural radioactivity of the elements results only from the instability of atomic nuclei, with a large advantage of neutrons over protons. The view of the cosmic origin of elements in the primary nucleosynthesis of the Big Bang is opposed to the view of the generation of elements in the present-day core of the Earth. Depending on the adopted view, extremely different conclusions can be drawn. If it is assumed that natural radioactive elements were formed in space billions of years ago, their number decreases as they decay. Conversely, if these elements form in the Earth’s core and appear as a component of basalt magma, their amount increases exponentially. Referring to publications on the theory of natural forces of nature, the article explains the phenomenon of spontaneous formation of fusion reactors. At the same time, the phenomenon of the expansion of the globe was explained, manifested by a tenfold increase in the volume of the globe over the last 200 million years. Growing basalt magma has a stabilized mineral composition and contains traces of uranium. Therefore, in the basalt rock the uranium concentration is low (<1 ppm), while in the phosphate rock uranium precipitates from concentrated igneous solutions and its concentration increases to 600 ppm.

Volcanism and Earthquakes<br/>—Polemical Notes on Mantle Plumes

The article presents new views on volcanism and earthquakes. The problem of the scientific basis for the interpretation of geotectonic theories was discussed. The interpretation of the mantle plume phenomenon according to the theory of expansion and the theory of primal forces of nature is presented. The heat source in the Earth’s core is thermonuclear reactions. The cause of earthquakes is not collisions of lithospheric plates, but plasma eruptions. The stresses in the rock mass, causing global fractures, arise due to the increase in the size of nuclides in the process of plasma recombination. The oldest basalts that make up the oceanic plates remain invariably along the shores of continents. The widespread view of the subduction of lithospheric plates and vertical convection cells of rock matter should be regarded as a scientific fiction.

The Phenomenon of a Natural Thermonuclear Reactor

The study contains the justification of J.M. Herndon’s thesis about the existence of a thermonuclear reactor in the Earth’s core. A scenario of the formation of a spontaneous nuclear reactor is presented, referring to the universal law of gravity, to the relationship between matter and energy, and to the properties of plasma. The theoretical attitudes of the discussed phenomena and the relations between them can be called the Theory of the Primordial Forces of Nature. It includes the interactions of the gravitational field, the forces of the electromagnetic field, which determine the properties of matter, and the strong interactions resulting from the release of nuclear energy. Arguments for the thesis about the commonness of the phenomenon of thermonuclear reactors in space are presented. The second part of the article presents examples of geological phenomena that confirm the activity of a thermonuclear reactor in the center of the Earth.

The Problem of Natural Radioactive Elements

The article presents two opposing views on the origin of natural radioactive elements. According to a view based on the Big Bang Theory, the elements found on Earth were formed by the process of primary nucleosyntase 13.8 billion years ago, with the exception of uranium and other heavy elements that were formed billions of years later under stellar conditions. It follows from this view that throughout the existence of the earth, the global amount of uranium and other primary radionuclides is reduced as a result of natural decay. The reasoning of the proponents of the BB theory is as follows: if the global radioactivity decreases, the problem of the threat decreases and one only needs to get used to the newly discovered natural phenomenon. There are even official regulations that exclude ionizing radiation from radon in the calculation of the limit dose. The Primary Forces of Nature theory presents a completely different view. Considering the analogous influence of gravity on the formation of the globs of the solar system, the logical explanation of the phenomena of geological activity are thermonuclear processes, such as on the sun. Hence the conclusion that the elements chemical are now created in the core of the Earth in the process of thermonuclear synthesis. The problem is serious because there is an accelerated growth of new igneous matter containing the created elements, and the ionizing radiation of natural radionuclides is the main factor responsible for the radioactivity level of the human environment.

Influence of Bismuth on the Metabolism of Endogenous Metals in Rats

In this study the effect of single and multiple doses of bismuth on the metabolism and excretion of endogenous metals(Cu,Zn)was *** rats were administered bismuth chloride subcutaneously(1×3 mg Bi/kg or 7×3 mg Bi/kg).Rats were sacrificed at different time periods after bismuth *** levels of Cu and Zn were determined in the liver,kidneys and brain,as well as the concentrations of metallothionein(MT)in the liver and ***,Zn and total protein levels in the urine of control and exposed animals were ***,a histopathological examination of the kidneys and brain was carried *** increase in the renal and hepatic Cu and Zn content was paralleled by an augmentation in the level of MT in these organs following both kinds of exposure to *** changes in the ultrastructure of the kidneys were correlated with the dose of *** content in the brains of exposed rats was lower than in control animals brains,but there was no difference in copper level and no histological *** excretion of copper and zinc was higher in the exposed groups than in control *** presented results indicate that the disturbances in the metabolism of Zn or Cu in the liver,kidneys and brain and the increase in urinary output of metals may be a much more sensitive index than morphological damage and impaired renal function to the bismuth exposure.

Analysis of the damage mechanism of strainbursts by a global-local modeling approach

Strainburst is the most common type of *** research of strainburst damage mechanisms is helpful to improve and optimize the rock support design in the burst-prone *** this study,an improved global-local modeling approach was first adopted to study strainburst damage *** extracted stresses induced by multiple excavations from a three-dimensional(3D)global model established by fast Lagrangian analysis of continua in 3 dimensions(FLAC3D)are used as boundary conditions for a two-dimensional(2D)local model of a deep roadway built by universal distinct element code(UDEC)to simulate realistic stress loading paths and conduct a detailed analysis of rockburst damage from both micro and macro *** results suggest that the deformation and damage level of the roadway gradually increase with the growth of surrounding rock stress caused by the superposition of mining-or excavation-induced stresses of the panel and nearby *** significant increase of surrounding rock stresses will result in more accumulated strain energy in two sidewalls,providing a necessary condition for the strainburst occurrence in the dynamic *** strainburst damage mechanism for the study site combines three types of damage:rock ejection,rock bulking,and *** the strainburst,initiation,propagation,and development of tensile cracks play a crucial role in controlling macroscopic failure of surrounding rock masses,although the shear crack always accounts for the main proportion of damage *** deformation and damage level of the roadway during a strainburst positively correlate with the increasing peak particle velocities(PPVs).The yielding steel arch might not dissipate kinetic energy and mitigate strainburst damage effectively due to the limited energy absorption *** principles to control and mitigate strainburst damage are proposed in this *** study presents a systematic framework to investigate strainburst damage mechanisms

Systems biology approaches for studying the pathogenesis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is a progressive disease of increasing public health concern. In western populations the disease has an estimated prevalence of 20%-40%, rising to 70%-90% in obese and type II diabetic individuals. Simplistically, NAFLD is the macroscopic accumulation of lipid in the liver, and is viewed as the hepatic manifestation of the metabolic syndrome. However, the molecular mechanisms mediating both the initial development of steatosis and its progression through non-alcoholic steatohepatitis to debilitating and potentially fatal fibrosis and cirrhosis are only partially understood. Despite increased research in this field, the development of non-invasive clinical diagnostic tools and the discovery of novel therapeutic targets has been frustratingly slow. We note that, to date, NAFLD research has been dominated by in vivo experiments in animal models and human clinical studies. Systems biology tools and novel computational simulation techniques allow the study of large-scale metabolic networks and the impact of their dysregulation on health. Here we review current systems biology tools and discuss the benefits to their application to the study of NAFLD. We propose that a systems approach utilising novel in silico modelling and simulation techniques is key to a more comprehensive, better targeted NAFLD research strategy. Such an approach will accelerate the progress of research and vital translation into clinic.

Influence of pulse waves on the transmission of near-infrared radiation in outer-head tissue layers

In this study, we investigate the effect of pulse waves on the transmission of near-infrared radiation in the outer tissue layers of the human head. This effect is important in using optical radiation to monitor brain conditions based on measuring the transmission changes in the near-infrared radiation between the source and the detector, placed on the surface of the scalp. This is because the signal related to the changes in the width of the subarachnoid space （SAS） due to the pulse wave is modified. These latter changes can be used, for instance, in detecting cerebral^ema and in evaluating cerebral oxygenation. The research was performed by modeling the propagation of near-infrared radiation in the tissue layers using a Monte-Carlo method. The main objective of this study was to assess the extent to which the changes in the transmission of near-infrared radiation correspond to the changes in the optical parameters of the tissues of the head and in the width of the subarachnoid layer.
