SARS-CoV Genom. Polym.rphism. A Bioinform.tics Study

A dataset of 103 SARS-CoV isolates （101 hum.n patients and 2 palm.civets） was investigated on different aspects of genom. polym.rphism.and isolate classification. The num.er and the distribution of single nucleotide variations （SNVs） and insertions and deletions, with respect to a “profile”, were determ.ned and discussed （“profile” being a sequence containing the m.st represented letter per position）. Distribution of substitution categories per codon positions, as well as synonym.us and non-synonym.us substitutions in coding regions of annotated isolates, was determ.ned, along with am.no acid （a.a.） property changes. Sim.lar analysis was perform.d for the spike （S） protein in all the isolates （55 of them.being predicted for the first tim.）. The ratio Ka/Ks confirm.d that the S gene was subjected to the Darwinian selection during virus transm.ssion from.anim.ls to hum.ns. Isolates from.the dataset were classified according to genom. polym.rphism.and genotypes. Genom. polym.rphism.yields to two groups, one with a sm.ll num.er of SNVs and another with a large num.er of SNVs, with up to four subgroups with respect to insertions and deletions. We identified three basic nine-locus genotypes： TTTT/TTCGG, CGCC/TTCAT, and TGCC/TTCGT, with four subgenotypes. Color Doppler sonography and angioscintigraphy in hepatic Hodgkin's lym.hom.

AIm. To estim.te the characteristics of Color Doppler findings and the results of hepatic radionuclide angiography （HRA） in secondary Hodgkin＇s hepatic lym.hom.. m.THODS： The research included patients with a diagnosis of Hodgkin＇s lym.hom. with m.tastatic focal lesions in the liver and controls. m.rphologic characteristics of focal liver lesions and hem.dynam.c param.ters were exam.ned by pulsed and Color Doppler in the portal, hepatic and splenic veins were exam.ned. Hepatic perfusion index （HPI） estim.ted by HRA was calculated. was observed. Lesions were m.stly hypoechoic and m.xed, solitary or m.ltiple. Som. of the patients presented with dilated splenic veins and hepatofugal blood flow. A pulse wave was registered in the centre and at the m.rgins of lym.hom.. The average velocity of the pulse wave was higher at the m.rgins （P 〉 0.05）. A continuous venous wave was found only at the m.rgins of lym.hom.. There was no linear correlation between lym.hom. size and velocity of pulse and continuous wave （r = 390, P 〈 0.01）. HPI was significantly lower in patients with lym.hom.s than in controls （P 〈 0.05）, pointing out increased arterial perfusion in com.arison to portal perfusion. CONCLUSION： Color Doppler ultrasonography is a sensitive m.thod for the detection of neovascularization in Hodgkin＇s hepatic lym.hom. and estim.tion of its intensity. Hepatic radionuclide angiography can additionally help in the assesm.nt of vascularisation of liver lesions.
