During boreal winter,the invasion of cold air can lead to remarkable temperature drops in East Asia which can result in serious socioeconomic ***,we find that the intensity of strong synoptic cold days in the East China Sea and Indochina Peninsula are *** enhanced synoptic cold days in these two regions are attributed to surface warming over the South China Sea and Philippine Sea(SCSPS).the oceanic forcing of the SCSPS on the synoptic cold days in the two regions is verified by numerical *** warming of the SCSPS enhances the baroclinicity,which intensifies meridional wind and cold advection on synoptic *** leads to a more extended region that is subject to the influence of cold invasion.

An extreme drought appeared in South China from October 2020 to March *** that time,sea surface temperatures exhibited an unprecedented warm center over the northwest Pacific(NWP)and a cold center over the tropical eastern Pacific(La Niña).this study demonstrates the combined effects of an exceptionally warm NWP and a moderate La Niña are closely linked to the anomalous drought in South *** sea surface temperature anomaly in these two regions induced a steeper horizontal geopotential height gradient over South *** a result,anomalous northeasterly winds prevailed over South China,altering water vapor transport and moisture convergence.A simplified atmospheric general circulation model also verifies the influence of the NWP warm anomaly on South China *** study points out that the sea surface temperature variation in the NWP was important to the occurrence of extreme drought in South China from October 2020 to March 2021.

A novel adaptive-impulsive scheme is proposed for synchronizing fractional-order chaotic systems without the necessity of knowing the attractors＇ bounds in priori. the nonlinear functions in these systems are supposed to satisfy local Lipschitz conditions but which are estimated with adaptive laws. the novelty is that the combination of adaptive control and impulsive control offers a control strategy gathering the advantages of both. In order to guarantee the convergence is no less than an expected exponential rate, a combined feedback strength design is created such that the symmetric axis can shift freely according to the updated transient feedback strength. All of the unknown Lipschitz constants are also updated exponentially in the meantime of achieving synchronization. two different fractional-order chaotic systems are employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the novel adaptive-impulsive control scheme.

In this study,a triple spark ignition scheme was first designed on a three-cylinder 1.5-L dedicated hybrid engine（DHE）.On this basis,the effect of different ignition modes on engine combustion and emission characteristics was studied,especially under high dilution *** results tested at 2000 r/min and 0.8 MPa BMEP（brake mean effective pressure） show that with highly increased in-cylinder flow intensity,using only passive prechamber（PPC） has a lower lean limit than that with single central spark plug（CSP）,thereby leading to slightly higher minimum fuel consumption and nitrogen oxides（NOx） *** side spark plugs（SSP）based on PPC can result in improved capability of lean limit extension and engine performance than ***,the improvement level is lower than that with triple spark plugs（tSP）.As the excess air ratio λincreases,the advantage of PPC and PPC with SSP in improving the combustion phasing compared with CSP gradually ***,the increasing tendency of their ignition delay and combustion duration is more *** added SSP based on PPC can effectively shorten the ignition delay of leaner mixture,but the combustion duration can be only slightly *** a result,under extremely lean condition,the advantage of PPC and PPC with SSP in terms of combustion characteristics over CSP becomes much *** contrast,the tSP ignition can achieve much shorter ignition delay and combustion duration simultaneously under this *** to the highest available dilution level,the tSP ignition achieves the lowest raw ***,it can also reduce the raw carbon monoxide（CO） and hydrocarbons（HC） emissions compared to CSP due to a more thorough combustion of the end gas *** on the excellent performance of tSP,the highest engine brake thermal efficiency（BtE） was further *** results show that with normal RON 92 fuel,the engine finally achieved 43.69% and 45.02% BtE under stochiometric mode with exhaust

the dynamic stiffness method is introduced to analyze thin-walled structures including thin-walled straight beams and spatial twisted helix beam. A dynamic stiffness matrix is formed by using frequency dependent shape functions which are exact solutions of the governing differential equations. With the obtained thin-walled beam dynamic stiffness matrices, the thin-walled frame dynamic stiffness matrix can also be formulated by satisfying the required displacements compatibility and forces equilib-rium, a method which is similar to the finite element method (FEM). then the thin-walled structure natural frequencies can be found by equating the determinant of the system dynamic stiffness matrix to zero. By this way, just one element and several elements can exactly predict many modes of a thin-walled beam and a spatial thin-walled frame, respectively. Several cases are studied and the results are compared with the existing solutions of other methods. the natural frequencies and buckling loads of these thin-walled structures are computed.

Renewable energy-driven bicarbonate conversion to valuable chemicals presents an attractive strategy for mitigating CO2emissions,as bicarbonate can be efficiently generated from the capture of atmospheric CO2using alkaline solutions with reactive *** this work,we present a CO2-mediated bicarbonate conversion to pure formate using a cation exchange membrane-based electrolyzer with a 25 cm2electrode *** electrolysis achieved selectivities exceeding 75%for formate at a total current of 2.5 A,achieving formate concentrations up to 1.2 M and yields as high as 95%over extended *** techno-economic assessment confirmed the economic viability of the process,highlighting the potential for bicarbonate electrolysis as a sustainable method for producing valuable chemicals.

this paper presents a simple and rigorous solution procedure of residue harmonic balance for predicting the accurate approximation of certain autonomous ordinary differential *** this solution procedure,no small parameter is *** harmonic residue of balance equation is separated in two parts at each *** first part has the same number of Fourier terms as the present order of approximation and the remaining part is used in the subsequent *** corrections are governed by linear ordinary differential equation so that they can be solved easily by means of harmonic balance method *** kinds of different differential equations involving general,fractional and delay ordinary differential systems are given as numerical examples *** accurate limited cycle frequency and amplitude are *** results match well with the exact solutions or numerical solutions for a wide range of control *** with those available shows that the residue harmonic balance solution procedure is very effective for these autonomous differential ***,the present method works not only in predicting the amplitude but also the frequency of bifurcated period solution for delay ordinary differential equation.
