Background: Solitary fibrous tumors of the.ple.ra (SFTP) are.rare.ne.plasms with unpre.ictable.be.avior. Lack of unifying crite.ia for be.ign or malignant SFTP has re.ulte. in re.orts of SFTP e.hibiting malignant be.avior ye.rs afte. comple.e.surgical re.e.tion (de.pite.be.ign initial diagnosis). Additionally, the.role.of trans-thoracic ne.dle.biopsy in initial manage.e.t of SFTP is uncle.r. Unde.standing pre.ictors of malignancy ide.tifie. patie.ts at unacce.tably high risk for non-surgical primary the.apy, and for re.urre.ce.de.pite.comple.e.surgical re.e.tion. Obj.0}tive.: The.primary obj.0}tive. we.e.to ide.tify clinicopathological pre.ictors of malignancy & re.urre.ce.in SFTP. The.se.ondary aim was to de.e.mine.the.role.of trans-thoracic ne.dle.biopsy in the.manage.e.t de.ision algorithm of SFTP. Me.hods: Re.rospe.tive.chart re.ie. was conducte. (j.n. 1983-De.. 2013) at the.Ottawa Hospital for pathologically confirme. SFTP. Data we.e.colle.te. on biopsy-re.ate., clinical, histopathological & immunohistoche.istry (IHC) variable.. Appropriate.te.ts of statistical infe.e.ce.we.e.conducte. for all variable.. Re.ults: Pathologically confirme. SFTP was ide.tifie. in 26 case.. Transthoracic ne.dle.biopsy was conducte. in 22 (84.6%);with 16 (72.7%) biopsie. diagnostic of SFTP with IHC;3 (13.6%) be.ng malignant. Primary manage.e.t was surve.llance.in 3 and comple.e.surgical re.e.tion in 23. Surgical pathology re.orte. 15 (65.2%) be.ign and 8 (34.8%) malignant case.. Local re.urre.ce.occurre. in 3 and distant re.urre.ce.in 1. Initial pathology was be.ign in 3 (75%) with re.urre.ce. Clinicopathologic variable. analyze. did not pre.ict re.urre.t dise.se. We.are.e.aluating dryland cotton production in Martin County, Te.as, me.suring cotton lint yie.d pe. unit of rainfall. Our goal is to colle.t rainfall data pe. 250 - 400 ha. Upon se.e.tion of a rainfall gauge. we.re.lize. that the.cost of using, for e.ample. a tipping bucke.-type.rain gauge.would be.too e.pe.sive.and thus se.rche. for an alte.native.me.hod. We.se.e.te. an all-in-one.comme.cially available.we.the. station;he.e.fte., re.e.re. to as a Pe.sonal We.the. Station (PWS) that is both wire.e.s and solar powe.e.. Our obj.0}tive.was to e.aluate.ave.age.me.sure.e.ts of rainfall obtaine. with the.PWS and to compare.the.e.to me.sure.e.ts obtaine. with an automatic we.the. station (AWS). For this purpose. we.installe. four PWS de.loye. within 20 m of the.Plant Stre.s and Wate. Conse.vation Me.e.rological Towe. that was use. as our AWS, locate. at USDA-ARS Cropping Syste.s Re.e.rch Laboratory, Lubbock, TX. In addition, we.me.sure. and compare. hourly ave.age.value. of short-wave.irradiance.(Rg), air te.pe.ature.(Tair) and re.ative.humidity (RH), and wind spe.d (WS), and calculate. value. of de.point te.pe.ature.(Tde.). This comparison was done.ove. a 242-day pe.iod (1 Octobe. 2022-31 May 2023) and re.ults indicate. that the.e.was no statistical diffe.e.ce.in me.sure.e.ts of rainfall be.we.n the.PWS and AWS. Hourly ave.age.value. of Rg me.sure. with the.PWS and AWS agre.d on cle.r days, but PWS me.sure.e.ts we.e.highe. on cloudy days. The.e.was no statistical diffe.e.ce.be.we.n PWS and AWS hourly ave.age.me.sure.e.ts of Tair, RH, and calculate. Tde.. Hourly ave.age.me.sure.e.ts of Rg and WS we.e.more.variable. We.conclude. that the.PWS we.se.e.te. will provide.ade.uate.value. of rainfall and othe. we.the. variable. to me.t our goal of e.aluating dryland cotton lint yie.d pe. unit rainfall.
