Fault restoration techniques have always been crucial for distribution system operators(DSOs).In the last decade,it started to gain more and more importance due to the introduction of output-based regulations where DSO performances are evaluated according to frequency and duration of energy supply *** paper presents a tabu-searchbased algorithm able to assist distribution network operational engineers in identifying solutions to restore the energy supply after permanent *** to the network property,two objective functions are considered to optimize either reliability or *** mathematical formulation includes the traditional feeders,number of switching operation limit,and radiality *** to the DSO of Milan,Unareti,the proposed algorithm has been tested on a real distribution network to investigate its effectiveness.

Leibnitzia comprises six species of perennial herbs that are adapted to high elevation conditions and is one of only two Asteraceae genera known to have an exclusively disjunct distribution spanning central to eastern Asia and North *** phylogenetic analysis of Leibnitzia and other Gerbera-complex members indicates that Leibnitzia is monophyletic,which is in contrast with our expectation that the American Leibnitzia species L. lyrata and *** would be more closely related to another American member of the Gerbera-complex,namely *** area reconstructions show that the historical biogeography of the Gerbera-complex mirrors that of the entire Asteraceae,with early diverging lineages located in South America that were followed by transfers to Africa and eurasia and,most recently,to North *** transfer of Leibnitzia appears to have been directed from Asia to North *** calibrations of nuclear(ribosomal DNA internal transcribed spacer region)and chloroplast(trnL-rpl32 intron)DNA sequence data using relaxed clock methods and either mean rate or fossil-based priors unanimously support Miocene and younger divergence times for Gerbera-complex *** ages are not consistent with most Gondwanan vicariance episodes and,thus,the global distribution of Gerbera-complex members must be explained in large part by long-distance *** species of Leibnitzia are estimated to have diverged from their Asian ancestor during the Quaternary(ca.2 mya)and either migrated overland to North America via Beringia and retreated southwards along high elevation corridors to their present location in southwestern North America or were dispersed long distance.

The Scandinavian Prostate Cancer Group- 4 recently reported the long-term survival benefit in men who were randomized to radical prostatectomy versus men watchful waiting for localized prostate cancer.1 The authors have now presented the companion article that updates the long-term quality of life evaluation in these men.2 Given the excellent prognosis of patients with early stage prostate cancer, the impact of therapy on patient＇s quality of life is a significant factor in the optimal management of this disease.

Odontogenic tumors are rare lesions with unknown *** of them are benign,but local aggressiveness,infiltrative potential,and high recurrence rate characterize some *** MAP-kinase pathway activation can represent a primary critical event in odontogenic ***,the BRAF V600e mutation has been involved in 80%–90%of ameloblastic lesions,offering a biological rationale for developing new targeted *** study aims to evaluate the BRAF V600e mutation in odontogenic lesions,comparing three different detection methods and focusing on the Sequenom MassARRAY System.81 surgical samples of odontogenic lesions were subjected to immunohistochemical analysis,Sanger Sequencing,and Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization-Time of Flight mass spectrometry(Sequenom).The BRAF V600e mutation was revealed only in ameloblastoma ***,the presence of BRAF V600e was significantly associated with the mandibular site(ρ=0.627;P valuee unicystic histotype(ρ=0.299,P valueever,any significant difference of 10-years disease-free survival time was not ***,Sequenom showed to be a 100%sensitive and 98.1%specific,suggesting its high-performance diagnostic *** results suggest the MAP-kinase pathway could contribute to ameloblastic ***,they could indicate the anatomical specificity of the driving mutations of mandibular ameloblastomas,providing a biological rational for developing new targeted ***,the high diagnostic accuracy of Sequenom was confirmed.

The effects of incident energetic particles,and the modification of materials under irradiation,are governed by the mechanisms of energy losses of ions in *** complex processes affecting projectiles spanning many orders of magnitude in energy depend on both ion and electron *** multi-scale modeling methods that correctly capture the relevant processes is crucial for predicting radiation effects in diverse *** this work,we obtain channeling ion ranges for tungsten,a prototypical heavy ion,by explicitly simulating ion trajectories with a method that takes into account both the nuclear and the electronic stopping *** electronic stopping power of self-ion irradiated tungsten is obtained from first-principles timedependent density functional theory(TDDFT).Although the TDDFT calculations predict a lower stopping power than SRIM by a factor of three,our result shows very good agreement in a direct comparison with ion range *** results demonstrate the validity of the TDDFT method for determining electronic energy losses of heavy projectiles,and in turn its viability for the study of radiation damage.

The Canavese Intracontinental Suture Zone(CISZ) within the Inner Western Alps represents the remnant of a long-lived minor subduction zone involving a narrow, thinned continental crust/oceanic lithosphere seaway between two continental domains of the Adria microplate(i.e., the Sesia Zone and the IvreaVerbano Zone). As opposed to many suture zones, the CISZ mostly escaped pervasive tectonic deformation and metamorphism, thus preserving the original stratigraphy and allowing the relationships between tectonics and sedimentation to be defined. Through detailed geological mapping(1:5000 scale),structural analysis, stratigraphic and petrographic observations, we document evidences for the late Paleozoic to late Cenozoic tectonic evolution of the CISZ, showing that it played a significant role in the context of the tectonic evolution of the Inner Western Alps region from the early to late Permian Pangea segmentation, to the Jurassic Tethyan rifting, and up to the subduction and collisional stages,forming the Western Alps. The site of localization/formation of the CISZ was not accidental but associated with the re-use of structures inherited from regional-scale wrench tectonics related to the segmentation of Pangea, and from the subsequent extensional tectonics related to the Mesozoic rifting, as documented by crosscutting relationships between stratigraphic unconformities and tectonic features. Our findings document that evidences derived from stratigraphy, facies indicators, and relationships between tectonics and sedimentation in the shallow crustal portions of suture zones, such in the CISZ, are important to better constrain the tectonic history of those metamorphic orogenic belts around the world in which evolutionary details are commonly complicated by high-strain deformation and metamorphic transformations.

Background:emerging research supports the idea that exercise positively affects ***,the mechanisms linking exercise with brain health are largely *** aimed to investigate the effect of exercise on(a)blood biomarkers selected based on previous evidence(brainderived neurotrophic factor,β-hydroxybutyrate(BHB),cathepsin B(CTSB),kynurenine,fibroblast growth factor 21(FGF21),soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(sVCAM-1));and(b)a panel of 92 neurology-related proteins(discovery analysis).We also investigated whether changes in these biomarkers mediate the effects of exercise on brain health(hippocampal structure and function,cognitive performance,and mental health).Methods:We randomized 81 overweight/obese children(10.1±1.1 years,41%girls)into 2 groups:either 20 weeks of aerobic plus resistance exercise or *** biomarkers were assessed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(eLISA)for kynurenine,FGF21,and CTSB;colorimetry forβ-hydroxybutyrate;and XMap for brain-derived neurotrophic factor and soluble vascular cell adhesion ***92 neurology-related proteins were analyzed by an antibody-based proteomic ***:Our intervention had no significant effect on candidate biomarkers(all p>0.05).In the discovery analysis,a reduction in circulating macrophage scavenger receptor type-I was observed(standardized differences between groups=-0.3,p=0.001).This effect was validated using eLISA methods(standardized difference=-0.3,p=0.01).None of the biomarkers mediated the effects of exercise on brain ***:Our study does not support a chronic effect of exercise on candidate *** observed that while chronic exercise reduced the levels of macrophage scavenger receptor type-Ⅰ,it did not mediate the effects of exercise on brain *** studies should explore the implications of this novel biomarker for overall health.
