Currently,CO_(2) conversion and utilization have become a key to mitigate the global *** this study,a novel separate-type autothermal dry reforming of methane(S-ATDRM)system is proposed and simulated,in which the methane dry reforming combined with methane partial oxidation is performed in a circulating fluidized bed with exergy recuperation to eliminate the negative effect of the products of CH_(4) partial oxidation on the DRM reaction and further improve the CO_(2) conversion *** results demonstrate that this S-ATDRM system can achieve an exergy efficiency of 84.7%,and about 1055.7 kW of exergy can be recuperated from the process for crude syngas cooling and reapplied for pre-heating of feedstocks of CO_(2),O2 and CH_(4).It is found that the largest exergy destruction in this system occurs in the partial oxidation reactor,which occupies ca.45.6%of the whole exergy *** with the conventional ATDRM system,although the exergy of S-ATDRM system is decreased by approximately 0.3%,the CO_(2) conversion is substantially increased by about 11.3%.

Dipole (hyper)polarizabilities of neutral silver clusters

At the Douglas-Kroll-Hess （DKI4） level, the B3PW91 functional along with the all-eleclron relativistic basis sets of valence triple and quadruple zeta qualities are used to determine the structure, stability, and electronic properties of the small silver clusters （Agn, n ≤ 7）. The results presented in this study are in good agreement with the experimental data and theoretical values obtained at a higher level of theory from the literature. Static polarizability and hyperpolarizability are also reported. It is verified that the mean dipole polarizability per atom exhibits an odd-even oscillation and that the polarizability anisotropy is directly related to the cluster shape. In this article, the first study of hyperpolarizabilities of small silver clusters is presented. Except for the monomer, the second hyperpolarizabilities of the silver clusters are significantly larger than those of the copper clusters.

Subcutaneous fat deposition has many important roles in dairy cattle,including immunological defense and mechanical *** main objectives of this study are to identify key candidate genes regulating subcutaneous fat deposition in high-producing dairy cows by integrating genomic and transcriptomic datasets.A total of 1654 genotyped Holstein cows are used to perform a genome-wide association study(GWAS)aiming to identify genes associated with subcutaneous fat ***,weighted gene co-expression network analyses(WGCNA)are conducted based on RNA-sequencing data of 34 cows and cow yield deviations of subcutaneous fat ***,differentially expressed(DE)m RNA,lnc RNA,and differentially alternative splicing genes are obtained for 12 Holstein cows with extreme and divergent phenotypes for subcutaneous fat ***-six protein-coding genes are identified as candidate genes regulating subcutaneous fat deposition in Holstein cattle based on *** overlapping genes are identified based on the analyses of DE genes and ***,the candidate genes identified based on GWAS,WGCNA,and analyses of DE genes are significantly enriched for pathways involved in metabolism,oxidative phosphorylation,thermogenesis,fatty acid degradation,and glycolysis/gluconeogenesis *** all findings,the NID2,STARD3,UFC1,DEDD,PPP1R1B,and USP21 genes are considered to be the most important candidate genes influencing subcutaneous fat deposition traits in Holstein *** study provides novel insights into the regulation mechanism underlying fat deposition in high-producing dairy cows,which will be useful when designing management and breeding strategies.

Removing harvest residues from hardwood stands affects tree growth, wood density and stem wood nutrient concentration in European beech (Fagus sylvatica) and oak (Quercus spp.)

Background:Higher exportation of harvest residues from forests due to increased demand for woody biomass,has reportedly diminished soil mineral resources and may lead to degraded tree nutrition as well as ***,as nutrients become less available in the soil,the remobilization of nutrients in biomass tissues(plant internal cycling)helps sustain tree *** study aims to quantify the impact of Removing Harvest Residues and Litter(RHRL)during five years on tree growth,wood density,and stem wood nutrient concentrations in young beech and oak forest ***:Our study found that,RHRL significantly decreased tree growth ring width by 14%,and wood density by 3%,in beech trees,in near bark *** also significantly reduced nutrient concentration in near bark and near pith areas of both studied ***,Na and S were found lower by 44%,76%,and 56%,respectively,in near bark area of beech *** near bark area of oak trees,K,Ca,Mg,Na,S,and Fe were lower by 20%,25%,41%,48%,41%,and 16%,respectively.K and Mg concentrations decreased more strongly in near pith area compared to near bark area suggesting internal translocation of these two ***:In beech trees,wood density proved to be an important factor while quantifying the effect of removing harvest residuals on tree growth and *** nutrient loss intensified the remobilization of nutrients con-tained in older tree rings(close to the pith)towards newly formed rings(close to bark).In our study,in beech trees,K was found to be the most recycled major *** results demonstrate the potential of such analysis for providing valuable insight into the effect of RHRL in premature stands on the physiological adaptive strategies of trees and an indication of soil fertility status.

Two-Phase Flow Patterns and Heat Transfer in Parallel Microchannels

MicroChannel heat sinks with two-phase flow can satisfy the increasing heat removal requirements of modern micro electronic devices. One of the important aspects associated with two- phase flows in microchannels is to study the bubble behavior. However, in the literature most of the reports present data of only a single channel. This does not account for flow mixing and hydrodynamic instability that occurs in parallel microchannels, connected by common inlet and outlet collectors. In the present study, experiments were performed for air- water and steam- water flow in parallel triangular microchannels with a base of 200-300μ m. The experimental study is based on systematic measurements of temperature and flow pattern by infrared radiometry and high-speed digital video imaging. In air-water flow, different flow patterns were observed simultaneously in the various microchannels at a fixed values of water and gas flow rates. In steam-water flow, instability in uniformly heated microchannels was observed.

Integrating Project Management, Software Development, and Knowledge Management Models: A Case Study in a Public ICT Services Organization

In project-based organizations knowledge is a critical resource used to develop and deliver products and services with a high level of quality. Therefore, a systematic and sustainable process is necessary to coordinate knowledge management, project management and product lifecycle. This scenario predominates in companies focused on the creation and maintenance of information systems. This article presents an exploratory study based on a framework that integrates cognitive, managerial, and operational processes in a public Brazilian organization that provides services in the area of information and communications technology, focusing on the construction and maintenance of information systems. Those processes are operationalized by three management models considering knowledge, project, and software development processes. Our proposal aims to understand the relationships between those three management models and their influence on the software development process in the organization under study. Our premise is based on the principle that cognitive management, project management, and software development management must be integrated to fulfill the demands of product development and service provision. The research data was composed of registers of working hours spent on software development and maintenance projects involving 244 people allocated to 5064 projects in the period from 2007 to 2013. The study resulted in the identification of the relationships among the three management models adopted by the organization, with emphasis on knowledge management activities, which were not directly identified, making it difficult to account for and measure them. We established a set of activities connected to each one of the knowledge management model phases. Association between Helicobacterpylori, Epstein-Barr virus, human papillomavirus and gastric adenocarcinomas

AIM To correlate Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori), Epstein-Barr virus(EBV) and human papillomavirus(HPV) with gastric cancer(GC) cases in Pará State, *** Tissue samples were obtained from 302 gastric adenocarcinomas. A rapid urease test was used to detect the presence of H. pylori, and the presence of the cagA gene in the HP-positive samples was confirmed by PCR. An RNA in situ hybridization test designed to complement Eber1 RNA was used to detect the presence of EBV in the samples, and the L1 region of HPV was detected using nested PCR. Positive HPV samples were genotyped and analyzed for E6 and E7 viral gene expression. Infections were also correlated with the clinical and pathological characteristics of the *** The majority of the 302 samples analyzed were obtained from men(65%) aged 55 years or older(67%) and were classified as the intestinal subtype(55%). All three pathogens were found in the samples analyzed in the present study(H. pylori : 87%, EBV: 20%, HPV: 3%). Overall, 78% of the H. pylori-positive(H. pylori+) samples were cag A +(H. pylori-cag A+), and there was an association between the cytotoxic product of this gene and EBV. Coinfections of H. pylori-cagA+ and EBV were correlated with the most advanced tumor stages. Although only 20% of the tumors were positive for EBV, infection with this virus was associated with distant metastasis. Only the HPV 16 and 18 strains were found in the samples, although no expression of the E6 and E7 oncoproteins was detected. The fundus of the stomach was the region least affected by the *** HPV was not involved in gastric tumorigenesis. Prophylactic and therapeutic measures against H. pylori and EBV may prevent the development of GC, especially the more aggressive forms.

电基合成燃料(E-Fuels)是实现环境和气候目标的一个重要组成部分。其中C1含氧化合物因其具备清洁燃烧的特性而备受关注,包括氧化亚甲基醚(OME)、碳酸二甲酯(DMC)和甲酸甲酯(MeFo)。为探索新型燃料在内燃机中的潜力,对汽油和柴油燃烧、排放模型进行了优化和扩展。在成功验证和标定模型后,对虚拟测试车辆进行了研究,重点关注燃料的效率潜力、排放水平和经济性。首先,基于现代汽油、柴油和天然气发动机,开发了不同概念的OME和DMC/MeFo发动机;其次,在真实驾驶循环(RDE)中对这些发动机概念在E级乘用车和40 t卡车上的应用进行了评估。结果表明,通过调整喷射策略和匹配废气再循环,OME发动机能实现最佳的热效率和极低的排放;混合燃料DMC/MeFo由于高抗爆性,结合先进的发动机技术,能达到接近柴油机的热效率,且发动机复杂性大大降低,这使得DMC/MeFo燃料在重型卡车应用中具有广阔的前景。
