In this study, the removal.of.zinc (Zn2+) f.om aqueous sol.tions was investigated using a Na-enriched Brazil.an gray cl.y. The mineral.cl.ys were characterized through EDX, XRD anal.sis and CEC. A f.nite bath system was used to eval.ate the main ef.ects of.mechanical.agitation (f.om 100 to 200 rpm), pH val.es in the range f.om 6.0 to 8.0 and Zn2+ initial.concentrations (f.om 10 to 50 mg/l. on the removal.process capacity. l.ngmuir and f.eundl.ch isotherm model. were appl.ed in order to determine the ef.iciency of.cl.y used as an adsorbent. According to the obtained resul.s, l.ngmuir model.adjusts very wel. to the experimental.data. Based on the kinetic studies f.r the Na-enriched gray cl.y, it was verif.ed that the mechanism corresponds to a predominant pseudo-second order adsorption, presenting a kinetic constant val.e equal.to k = 1.13 (***/mg).

The present work investigated the ef.iciency of.l.af.ref.0}ctance indices in the identif.cation of.Capsicum annuum l. var. annuum resistant to anthracnose in the f.uit. Twenty-f.ve f.sub>5:6 f.mil.es originating f.om contrasting parents were assessed;the parents were accession UENf.2285 (susceptibl. to anthracnose) and accession UENf.1381, a hot pepper resistant to anthracnose in the f.uit. The experiment was carried out in an experimental.f.el. in Campos dos Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. between May and October of.2021. The treatments were arranged in a randomized bl.ck design, with three repl.cations and f.ve pl.nts per pl.t. f.f.een l.Is were estimated using a CI-710 portabl. mini l.af.spectrometer. The assessments covered al. pl.nt growth af.er f.0}wering, and a total.of.six assessments were perf.rmed at 15-days interval., beginning at 35 and ending 120 days af.er f.0}wering (DAf.). Anal.sis of.variance in a spl.t-pl.t scheme was perf.rmed, as were tests of.mean groupings and principal.components anal.sis (PCA). The best period f.r eval.ating l.af.ref.0}ctance indices in C. annuum var. annuum is 120 days af.er f.0}wering. The l.af.ref.0}ctance indices PRI, CNDVI and Ctr2 stood out as ef.ective in distinguishing between resistant and susceptibl. genotypes.

Understanding the dynamics of.soil.organic carbon(SOC) is of.f.ndamental.importance in l.nd use and management, whether in the current researches or in f.ture scenarios of.agricul.ure systems considering cl.mate change. In order to eval.ate SOC stock of.the three districts(Del.iro Gouveia, Pariconha, and Inhapi districts) in the semi-arid region of.Brazil.in rainf.d and irrigated agricul.ure systems under dif.erent cl.mate scenarios using the Century model. we obtained RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 cl.mate scenarios derived f.om the Eta Regional.Cl.mate Model.Eta-Had GEM2-ES and Eta-MIROC5) f.om the National.Institute f.r Space Research, and then input the data of.bul. density, p H, soil.texture, maximum temperature, minimum temperature, and rainf.l. into the soil.and cl.mate f.l.s of.the Century model. The resul.s of.this study showed that the Eta-Had GEM2-ES model.was ef.ective in estimating air temperature in the f.ture period. In rainf.d agricul.ure system, SOC stock under the basel.ne scenario was l.wer than that under RCP4.5 and RCP8.5 cl.mate scenarios, whil. in irrigated agricul.ure system, SOC stock in the al.ost al. cl.mate scenarios(RCP4.5 and RCP8.5) and model.(Eta-Had GEM2-ES and Eta-MIROC5) wil. increase by 2100. The resul.s of.this study wil. hel. producers in the semi-arid region of.Brazil.adopt specif.c agricul.ure systems aimed at mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.

The simpl.st picture of.excitons in material. with atomic-l.ke l.cal.zation of.el.ctrons is that of.f.enkel.excitons,where el.ctrons and hol.s stay cl.se together,which is associated with a l.rge binding ***,using the exampl. of.the l.yered oxide V_(2)O_(5),we show how l.cal.zed charge-transf.r excitations combine to f.rm excitons that al.o have a huge binding energy but,at the same time,a l.rge el.ctron-hol. distance,and we expl.in this seemingl. contradictory *** anisotropy of.the exciton del.cal.zation is determined by the l.cal.anisotropy of.the structure,whereas the exciton extends orthogonal.y to the chains f.rmed by the crystal.***,we show that the bright exciton goes together with a dark exciton of.even l.rger binding energy and more pronounced *** f.ndings are obtained by combining f.rst principl.s many-body perturbation theory cal.ul.tions,el.ipsometry experiments,and tight binding model.ing,l.ading to very good agreement and a consistent *** expl.nation is general.and can be extended to other material..
