Meplazumab,a humanized cD147 antibody,has shown favourable safety and efficacy in our previous clinical *** DEFLEcT(NcT04586153),167 patients with severe cOVID-19 were enroled and randomized to receive three dosages of meplazumab and a *** at 0.12 mg/kg,compared to the placebo group,showed clinical benefits in significantly reducing mortality by 83.6%(2.4%vs.14.6%,p=0.0150),increasing the proportion of patients alive and discharged without supplemental oxygen(82.9%vs.70.7%,p=0.0337)and increasing the proportion of patients who achieved sustained clinical improvement(41.5%vs.31.7%).The response rate in the 0.2 mg/kg group was relatively increased by 16.0%compared with the placebo group(53.7%vs.46.3%).Meplazumab also reduced the viral loads and multiple cytokine *** with the placebo group,the 0.3 mg/kg significantly increased the virus negative rate by 40.6%(p=0.0363)and reduced IL-8 level(p=0.0460);the 0.2 mg/kg increased the negative conversion rate by 36.9%,and reduced IL-4(p=0.0365)and IL-8 levels(p=0.0484).In this study,the adverse events occurred at a comparable rate across the four groups,with no unexpected safety findings *** conclusion,meplazumab promoted cOVID-19 convalescence and reduced mortality,viral load,and cytokine levels in severe cOVID-19 population with good safety profile.

Background: Suicide among physicians is a serious public health issue, with an extremely complex and multifactorial behavior. Aim: The aim of this study was to use the theme “Suicide among Physicians” to exemplify the analysis of methodological similarities between the scientific content available at MEDLINE and BVS databases, as scientific research tools. Methods: This is a systematic review with metanalysis. The following combinations of keywords were used for data search in the referred databases: “suicide” AND “physicians” AND “public heath”. Results: Three hundred and thirteen publications were identified, but only 16 studies were chosen. Great association was found between MEDLINE and BVS databases and the Odds Ratio regarding the theme: “Suicide among physicians”. conclusions: considering the similarities found in the utilization of the two analyzed databases, it was possible to identify that suicide among physicians is associated with the exercise of an important professional role in the society and in the workplace. With regard to scientific information, the p-value-obtained value (cally significant for the association between the suggested theme and the methodological similarities of the scientific information available in the analyzed databases. Thus, these open-access research tools are considered scientific reliable tools.

Background: In the year of 2015, evidence of a relation between Zika virus and the development of microcephaly in pregnant women who acquired the infection started to come up. Thus, it is extremely necessary that the analysis of the affliction affects these women in a biopsychosocial context, in order to discuss and comprehend in a more reliable manner the affection from the perception of the disease, origin, and psychic pain mechanisms. Methods: Systematic review with meta-analysis, using the PRISMA protocol. The study period was 2016 and the keywords included “microcephaly” and “abortion”, one at a time and then combined with the Boolean operator “AND.” The statistical analysis was done using the BioEstat 5.0 program. calculation was based on an adjustment of Mantel-Haenszel random effect. Results: 41,046 registrations were found. Of this total, 40,992 articles were excluded because they only mentioned the fact or referred to spontaneous abortion, did not analyze abortion on the eyes of microcephaly, only treated with Zika virus, or were repeated. Limitations: Psychic pain and suffering need studies in the mother/son/disease relation, which were not found in the databases. The article was based on other sources. conclusions: The pains vary in different areas of the female life, since internal conflicts, gender violence, stress, fear, insecurity, psychologic torture, grieve, loneliness, among other kinds of psychic suffering. More studies on psycho-emotional themes need to be promoted to discuss the female suffering on a wider vision, closer to the reality faced by these women.

Introduction. Sequels can be observed in toxic epidermal necrolysis. Persistence of mucosal ulcerations is not a classical complication of this disease. We describe two case reports of mucous membrane ulcerations (oral and genital) which have remained many months after the acute phase of toxic epidermal necrolysis. case reports. case 1. A little girl, 9 years old, was referred for a chronic and painful ulceration of the vulva that had appeared 9 months earlier during a toxic epidermal necrolysis. She presented a clearly crircumscribed vestibular ulceration. The mucosal biopsy was refused by the family. The genital erosion persisted more than one year after the acute phase. case 2. A 73 year- old man was referred for a persistent and clearly circumscribed lingual ulceration, 9 mm in diameter. This chronic ulceration had appeared 3 months earlier, during the acute phase of a toxic epidermal necrolysis. The skin biopsy specimen, with histologic and direct immunofluorescence analysis, did not disclose any specific anomalies. After a period of clinical observation, intralesional injections of corticosteroids were decided and ulceration progressively decreased in 13 months. Discussion. complications of toxic epidermal necrolysis mainly occur at the acute phase. The most well documented sequelae are ophthalmological lesions. The most frequent cutaneous sequelae are cutaneous pigmentary changes and nail dystrophy. We report two observations of persistent mucous membrane erosions many months after the acute phase of toxic epidermal necrolysis. The pathophysiology of this complication, is rarely described and still remains unclear.

Background: There are numerous variants of cutaneous neurofibroma reflecting its manner of growth and histologic composition. Lipomatous neurofibroma is the latest described variant with only eight cases reported. Methods: A systematic study based on 320 consecutive specimens diagnosed of cutaneous neurofibroma was carried out. conventional microscopy, immunohistochemistry, and statistical methods were used to determine the presence of fat cells, their amount, distribution, and frequency. Results: Intratumoral fat was observed in 22 (6.9% ) neurofibromas. All these were dermal neurofibromas. Intraneoplastic fat was divided into two groups: focal and diffuse (regularly interspersed). Eighteen tumors (5.6% ) presented adipocytes focally intermingled with the spindle cells. There were four (1.3% ) neurofibromas showing spindle cell proliferation with regularly scattered adipocytes. Lipomatous neurofibroma was more frequent located on head and neck than non- lipomatous neurofibroma (p=0.04). Neurofibromas without mature adipocytes were more frequently immunoreactive for cD34 compared with tumors showing intratumoral fat (p=0.02). conclusions: We suggest that both metaplasia and aberrant adipose differentiation from multipotential cells may result in lipomatous neurofibroma. Focal presence of adipose cells may be attributable to metaplasia as the pathogenic mechanism. The fatty tissue being intrinsic to the tumor structure in its diffuse form, the lesion represents a distinctive tumor of the peripheral nerve sheath.

JUNO is a multi-purpose neutrino observatory under construction in the south of *** publication presents new sensitivity estimates for the measurement of the △m_(31)^(2),△m_(21)^(2),sin^(2)θ_(12),and sin^(2)θ_(13) oscillation parameters using reactor antineutrinos,which is one of the primary physics goals of the *** sensitivities are obtained using the best knowledge available to date on the location and overburden of the experimental site,the nuclear reactors in the surrounding area and beyond,the detector response uncertainties,and the reactor antineutrino spectral shape constraints expected from the TAO satellite *** is found that the △m_(21)^(2) and sin^(2)θ_(12) oscillation parameters will be determined to 0.5%precision or better in six years of data *** the same period,the △m_(31)^(2) parameter will be determined to about 0.2%precision for each mass ordering *** new precision represents approximately an order of magnitude improvement over existing constraints for these three parameters.

The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main *** of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator *** this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/*** ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are *** large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation *** m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith ***,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment.

The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)is a large liquid scintillator detector designed to explore many topics in fundamental *** this study,the potential of searching for proton decay in the p→νK^(+)mode with JUNO is *** kaon and its decay particles feature a clear three-fold coincidence signature that results in a high efficiency for ***,the excellent energy resolution of JUNO permits suppression of the sizable background caused by other delayed *** on these advantages,the detection efficiency for the proton decay via p→νK^(+)is 36.9%±4.9%with a background level of 0.2±0.05(syst)±0.2(stat)events after 10 years of data *** estimated sensitivity based on 200 kton-years of exposure is 9.6×1033 years,which is competitive with the current best limits on the proton lifetime in this channel and complements the use of different detection technologies.
