Postoperative Com.lications and Patient＇s Satisfaction after Harvesting of the Radial Artery for Coronary Artery Bypass

Objectives： There is a paucity of data regarding wound-site com.lications and patient＇s satisfaction after harvesting of a radial artery. This study is conducted to evaluate the frequency com.lications and the level of patient＇s satisfaction after m.ocardial revascularization in our setting. m.thods： From.April 2009 to October 2013, 97 patients had radial artery （RA） used as a graft in m.ocardial revascularization. The graft was harvested using open technique. This was retrospective study. Telephone questionnaire was used to evaluate： arm.pain, swelling, m.bility, sensory changes, patient＇s contentm.nt with a cosm.tic result and the general health state. Results： Pain of lim.ted duration was reported by 24 patients （24.7%）, none of them.reported perm.nent pain. Som. problem. in perform.ng everyday＇s activities were reported by 8 pts （8.2%）. Sensory changes were perm.nently present in 5 pts （5.2%）, and frequent arm.fatigue was reported by 4 pts （4.1%）. Positive opinion regarding the cosm.tic result was reported by 95 pts （97.9%）. State of the health after surgery, 81 pts （83.5%） described as excellent or good. Patients who had m.re m.bility problem., also had m.re sensory and neurological discom.ort respectively. Patients with better self-reported general health state were also m.re satisfied with the esthetic effect of the intervention. Conclusions： Using the open technique resulted in excellent cosm.tic effect. This gives us credit to point out that exclusive need of the endoscopic as a suprem. m.thod m.ght be under the question m.rk. Our study suggests that individual attitude of the particular patient plays extrem.ly im.ortant role in his/her overall satisfaction with the end effect of the procedure.

Sub-leading flow m.des in PbPb collisions at (~sNN)^(1/2) = 2.76 TeV from.the HYDJET++ m.del

Recent LHC results on the appearance of sub-leading flow m.des in Pb Pb collisions at 2.76 TeV, related to initial-state fluctuations, are analyzed and interpreted within the HYDJET＋＋ m.del. Using the newly introduced Principal Com.onent Analysis（PCA） m.thod applied to two-particle azim.thal correlations extracted from.the m.del calculations, the leading and sub-leading flow m.des are studied as a function of the transverse m.m.ntum.p T） over a wide centrality range. The leading m.des of the elliptic（v2^（1）） and triangular（v3^（1）） flow calculated with the HYDJET＋＋ m.del reproduce rather well the v2 m. and v3 m. coefficients m.asured experim.ntally using the two-particle correlations. Within the p T 3 Ge V/c range, where hydrodynam.cs dom.nates, the sub-leading flow effects are greatest at the highest p T of around 3 Ge V/c. The sub-leading elliptic flow m.de（v2^（2））, which corresponds to the n = 2 harm.nic, has a sm.ll non-zero value and slowly increases from.central to peripheral collisions, while the sub-leading triangular flow m.de（v3^（2））, which corresponds to the n = 3 harm.nic, is even sm.ller and does not depend on centrality. For n= 2, the relative m.gnitude of the effect m.asured with respect to the leading flow m.de shows a shallow m.nim.m.for sem.-central collisions and increases for very central and for peripheral collisions. For the n= 3 case, there is no centrality dependence. The sub-leading flow m.de results obtained from.the HYDJET＋＋m.del are in rather good agreem.nt with the experim.ntal m.asurem.nts of the Cm. Collaboration.
