chromium(cr)is one of the most prominent contaminants due to its cumulative negative effects on *** may be able to mitigate the unfavorable effects of cr in *** this study,the rohu labeo rohita(3.02±0.37 g)were exposed to cr with or without probiotics,representing control(c;without cr or probiotics),treatment one(T1;cr at a dose of 4 mg/l),treatment two(T2;probiotics at a dose of 1 ml/l)and.treatment three(T3;cr at a dose of 4 mg/l+probiotics at a dose of 1 ml/l)for 42 *** results showed that weight gain(WG)and.specific growth rate(SGR)were inhibited significantly in T1,while those substantially increased in T2(probiotics)compared to *** the other hand.WG and.SGR were regained as compared to c in *** significantly lowest feed conversion ratio(FcR)was found in T2,and.moderate FcR was recorded in c and.T3,while it was significantly highest in *** mortality was observed in c and.T2,while 20%mortality was recorded in T1,and.decreased mortality was recorded in T3(10%).Exposure to cr(T1)caused lower hemoglobin and.higher glucose levels;however,the use of probiotics reversed these effects in T3(cr+probiotics).The frequencies of nuclear(notched nuclei,nuclear bridges,and.karyopyknosis)and.cellular(tear drop shaped,fusion,and.twin)abnormalities of erythrocytes increased in the cr-exposed group(T1);however,these were recovered after probiotic administration(T3).The findings of the present study suggest that probiotics play a beneficial role in reducing the toxicities of cr in rohu.

The widespread presence of microplastics(MPs)in road dust has considerable concern regarding their potential risks to ecosystems and.human *** the massive production of plastic,the erudition of MPs distribution patterns in various sizes of deposited road dust is still limited around the ***,the aim of this research is to provide an unambiguous picture of MPs distributional pattern,identification,classification,quantification,and.features from road dust in various zones and.types of roadways in Dhaka,*** study examined MPs in road dust samples with particle sizes ranging from 300 to 150 mm(Group-A),149-75 mm(Group-B),and.75 mm(Group-c).This work extracted MPs from road dust using 30%H_(2)O_(2),1.6 g/cm^(3)Zncl_(2),and.0.45 mm filter paper.A fluorescent microscope(Motic B410E,Germany),Motic Pictures,and.3.0 Ml software were utilized to identify MPs ***,FTIR and.SEM were utilized to determine the chemical composition of ***-A Road dust samples had a significantly higher concentration of MPs(38945 items/kg)compared to Group-B and.75 mm Group-c dust(16720 and.5945 items/kg,respectively).The distribution hierarchy for total MPs on average by location and.type of road is as follows:paved road(355 items/5 g)>unpaved road(325 items/5 g)>soil samples(294 items/5 g),roadside dust samples(284 items/5 g),and.mid-road(283 items/5 g).By taking into account all sizes of road dust samples,the MPs were classified as fiber(70.26%),fragment(26.12%),beads(0.66%),films(1.32%),and.foams(1.58%).It was found that adults inhaled MPs an average of 1612 items/day,while they ingested an average of 880 items/*** had an inhalation rate of 1232 items/day and.an ingestion rate of 10267 items/day,which was 4e17 times greater than in other *** study identified 22 MPs polymer types,and.SEM results show that MPs surfaces are being weathered into nanoplastics,creating a more hazardous environment.

This paper proposes a novel wake-induced vibration(WIV)-based energy harvesting system consisting of two bluff *** inverted c-shaped bluff body is stationary installed at the upstream position to generate an interference wake street,and.a cylinder bluff body equipped with a transducer is elastically suspended at the downstream position to harness WIV *** hydrodynamics and.energy harvesting(EH)performance of the proposed system are investigated via experimental *** reduced velocity(U*)ranging from 2 to 14(the corresponding Reynolds number ranging from 15100 to 106200)is considered in the present *** is found that the wake generated by the inverted c-shaped bluff body significantly affects the EH *** the opening angle(α)of the c-shaped bluff body increases the vibration amplitude of the downstream cylinder,thereby increasing the harvested *** the spacing(l)between two bluff bodies is two times the cylinder diameter(D),the wake-induced vibration(WIV)mode is observed,while the combined WIV and.wake galloping(WG)mode occurs whenαis 150°,and.l equals 3D or *** average drag coefficient becomes negative when l is 2D,3D,or *** carefully configuring a c-shaped bluff body,the wake generated by it can bring an augmenting effect on the vibration of the downstream EH *** example,the RMS power output of the proposed EH system reaches a maximum of 0.31 W at U*=8 and.l=4D,which is 300%greater than that of its traditional ***,after a number of case stud-ies,it is identified that the proposed EH system can achieve the best performance whenαis 150°and.l=2D.
