Transient chemical-mediated epigenetic modulation confers unrestricted lineage potential on human primed pluripotent stem cells

Human primed pluripotent stem cells are capable of generating all the embryonic ***,their extraembryonic trophectoderm potentials are *** remains unclear how to expand their developmental potential to trophectoderm *** we show that transient treatment with a cocktail of small molecule epigenetic modulators imparts trophectoderm lineage potentials to human primed pluripotent stem cells while preserving their embryonic *** chemically treated cells can generate trophectoderm-like cells and downstream trophoblast stem cells,diverging into syncytiotrophoblast and extravillous trophoblast *** and CUT&Tag analyses reveal that these induced cells share transcriptional profiles with in vivo trophectoderm and cytotrophoblast,and exhibit reduced H3K27me3 modification at gene loci specific to trophoblast lineages compared with primed pluripotent *** exploration highlighted the critical roles of epigenetic modulators HDAC2,EZH1/2,and KDM5s in the activation of trophoblast lineage *** findings demonstrate that transient epigenetic resetting activates unrestricted lineage potential in human primed pluripotent stem cells,and offer new mechanistic insights into human trophoblast lineage specification and in vitro models for studying placental development and related disorders.

High-performance transparent graphene-based antennas

With the continuous development of wireless communication technology, applications in the military, aerospace,and vehicle wireless communication sectors have demanded miniaturized and aesthetically pleasing antennas. Transparent antennas, which combine the advantages of optical and radio-frequency(RF) technologies, have become a popular research topic. However, existing transparent antennas often suffer from complex preparation processes, fragile materials, poor conductivity, and low optical transmittance. Here, we develop hybrid conductive thin films using graphene and silver nanowires,achieving a transmittance of 86% and a sheet resistance of 7.8 Ω/sq with high environmental stability. We demonstrate the suitability of this nanocomposite in two applications: a transparent ultrahigh-frequency RF-identification tag folded dipole antenna and a transparent X-band microwave half-wave dipole antenna. These antennas offer high gain, high radiation efficiency, and small size, indicating that transparent graphene-based antennas have remarkable potential for intelligent information sensor systems.

Solar flare forecasting based on a Fusion Model

Solar flare prediction is an important subject in the field of space *** learning technology has greatly promoted the development of this *** this study,we propose a novel solar flare forecasting model integrating Deep Residual Network(ResNet)and Support Vector Machine(SVM)for both≥C-class(C,M,and X classes)and≥M-class(M and X classes)*** collected samples of magnetograms from May 1,2010 to September 13,2018 from Space-weather Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager(HMI)Active Region Patches and then used a cross-validation method to obtain seven independent data *** then utilized five metrics to evaluate our fusion model,based on intermediate-output extracted by ResNet and SVM using the Gaussian kernel *** results show that the primary metric true skill statistics(TSS)achieves a value of 0.708±0.027 for≥C-class prediction,and of 0.758±0.042 for≥M-class prediction;these values indicate that our approach performs significantly better than those of previous *** metrics of our fusion model’s performance on the seven datasets indicate that the model is quite stable and robust,suggesting that fusion models that integrate an excellent baseline network with SVM can achieve improved performance in solar flare ***,we also discuss the performance impact of architectural innovation in our fusion model.

Multivariate synergy for heightening ionic HOF robustness and proton conductivity

Multicomponent crystalline materials construct more complex and diversified structures with different combinations and modes,which expands the material structure space and application *** this work,we have successfully synthesized two twocomponent ionic hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks （iHOF-32 and iHOF-33） and a three-component iHOF （iHOF-34）.Guanidine hydrochloride which is rich in N and H and has a short chain length strengthens the hydrogen bonding network of iHOF,thereby aiding in the efficient migration of *** rigid architecture of 1,1'-diamino-4,4'-bipyridine diiodide furnishes additional scaffolding for the iHOFs and enhances its robustness under harsh ***-34 accomplishes the combination of the ultra-high proton conductivity of iHOF-32 and the robustness of iHOF-33 by the synergistic interaction among the three components of *** addition,iHOF-34 was fabricated as a composite membrane with a peak proton conductivity of 1.55×10-1S cm-1,which is 3.8 times higher than that of recast Nafion,and has extensive potential in fuel *** self-assembly strategy of multicomponent HOFs opens up new avenues for constructing diverse structures while promising new opportunities for applications in the fields of proton conduction and energy storage.

The rich resources and unique environment of the Moon make it an ideal location for human expansion and the utilization of extraterrestrial ***,crucial for supporting human life on the Moon,can be extracted from lunar regolith,which is highly rich in oxygen and contains polymetallic *** oxygen and metal extraction can be achieved using existing metallurgical ***,the ample reserves of water ice on the Moon offer another means for oxygen *** paper offers a detailed overview of the leading technologies for achieving oxygen production on the Moon,drawing from an analysis of lunar resources and environmental *** delves into the principles,processes,advantages,and drawbacks of water-ice electrolysis,two-step oxygen production from lunar regolith,and one-step oxygen production from lunar *** two-step methods involve hydrogen reduction,carbothermal reduction,and hydrometallurgy,while the one-step methods encompass fluorination/chlorination,high-temperature decomposition,molten salt electrolysis,and molten regolith electrolysis(MOE).Following a thorough comparison of raw materials,equipment,technology,and economic viability,MOE is identified as the most promising approach for future in-situ oxygen production on the *** the corrosion characteristics of molten lunar regolith at high temperatures,along with the Moon's low-gravity environment,the development of inexpensive and stable inert anodes and electrolysis devices that can easily collect oxygen is critical for promoting MOE technology on the *** review significantly contributes to our understanding of in-situ oxygen production technologies on the Moon and supports upcoming lunar exploration initiatives.

A denoising algorithm based on the improved EWT in distributed fiber optic temperature measurement system

In order to enhance the temperature measurement accuracy of Raman distributed fiber optic temperature measurement system， in this paper， we propose a distributed fiber optic temperature measurement signal denoising algorithm based on the empirical wavelet transform with improved thresholding. This algorithm is used to decompose the noisy signal into multiple intrinsic modal threshold functions， which are further reconstructed by correlation filtering and threshold processing each of the IMFs using an improved function. The correlation filtering mechanism in this algorithm effectively reduces the regular noise and the amount of computation to improve the response speed. The improved threshold function can significantly reduce the spiky noise and smoothen the signal. The field temperature data is collected in the experiment， and the algorithm is implemented in the FPGA platform. In measured results， the system's temperature measurement accuracy is ±0.18℃ over 2.5 km of sensing fiber， with average response time is 0.6 seconds.

From waste to wealth:Coal tar residue derived carbon materials as low-cost anodes for potassium-ion batteries

Carbon materials are widely recognized as highly promising electrode materials for various energy storage system *** tar residues(CTR),as a type of carbon-rich solid waste with high value-added utilization,are crucially important for the development of a more sustainable *** this study,we employed a straightforward direct carbonization method within the temperature range of 700-1000℃to convert the worthless solid waste CTR into economically valuable carbon materials as anodes for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs).The effect of carbonization temperature on the microstructure and the potassium ions storage properties of CTR-derived carbons(CTRCs)were systematically explored by structural and morphological characterization,alongside electrochemical performances *** on the co-regulation between the turbine layers,crystal structure,pore structure,functional groups,and electrical conductivity of CTR-derived carbon carbonized at 900℃(CTRC-900H),the electrode material with high reversible capacity of 265.6m Ah·g^(-1)at 50 m A·g^(-1),a desirable cycling stability with 93.8%capacity retention even after 100 cycles,and the remarkable rate performance for PIBs were ***,cyclic voltammetry(CV)at different scan rates and galvanostatic intermittent titration technique(GITT)have been employed to explore the potassium ions storage mechanism and electrochemical kinetics of *** indicate that the electrode behavior is predominantly governed by surface-induced capacitive processes,particularly under high current densities,with the potassium storage mechanism characterized by an“adsorption-weak intercalation”*** work highlights the potential of CTR-based carbon as a promising electrode material category suitable for high-performance PIBs electrodes,while also provides valuable insights into the new avenues for the high value-added utilization of CTR.
