The contact of a rigid body with nominally flat rough surface and an elastic half-space is *** solve the contact problem,the Greenwood-Williamson statistical model and the localization principle are *** developed contact model allows us to investigate the surface approach and the real contact area with taking into account the asperities *** is shown that the mutual influence of asperities changes not only contact characteristics at the macroscale,but also the contact pressure distribution at the *** follows from the results,the inclusion in the contact model of the effect of the mutual influence of asperities is especially significant for studying the real contact area,as well as the contact characteristics at high applied *** results calculated according to the proposed approach are in a good agreement with the experimentally observed effects,i.e.,the real contact area saturation and the additional compliance exhaustion.

In this paper,we combine the generalized multiscale finite element method(GMsFEM)with the balanced truncation(BT)method to address a parameterdependent elliptic ***,in progress of a model reduction we try to obtain accurate solutions with less computational *** is realized via a spectral decomposition from the dominant eigenvalues,that is used for an enrichment of multiscale basis functions in the *** multiscale bases computations are localized to specified coarse neighborhoods,and follow an offline-online process in which eigenvalue problems are used to capture the underlying system *** the BT on reduced scales,we present a local-global strategy where it requires the observability and controllability of solutions to a set of Lyapunov *** the Lyapunov equations need expensive computations,the efficiency of our combined approach is shown to be readily flexible with respect to the online space and an reduced *** experiments are provided to validate the robustness of our approach for the parameter-dependent elliptic model.

Pancreatic cancer(PC) induced cachexia is a complex metabolic syndrome associated with significantly increased morbidity and mortality and reduced quality of life. The pathophysiology of cachexia is complex and poorly understood. Many molecular signaling pathways are involved in PC and cachexia. Though our understanding of cancer cachexia is growing, therapeutic options remain limited. Thus, further discovery and investigation of the molecular signaling pathways involved in the pathophysiology of cachexia can be applied to development of targeted therapies. This review focuses on three main pathophysiologic processes implicated in the development and progression of cachexia in PC, as well as their utility in the discovery of novel targeted therapies. Skeletal muscle wasting is the most prominent pathophysiologic anomaly in cachectic patients and driven by multiple regulatory pathways. Several known molecular pathways that mediate muscle wasting and cachexia include transforming growth factor-beta(TGF-β), myostatin and activin, IGF-1/PI3 K/AKT, and JAK-STAT signaling. TGF-β antagonism in cachectic mice reduces skeletal muscle catabolism and weight loss, while improving overall survival. Myostatin/activin inhibition has a great therapeutic potential since it plays an essential role in skeletal muscle regulation. Overexpression of insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3(IGFBP-3) leads to increased ubiquitination associated proteolysis, inhibition of myogenesis, and decreased muscle mass in PC induced cachexia. IGFBP-3 antagonism alleviates muscle cell *** component of cachexia is profound systemic inflammation driven by pro-cachectic cytokines such as interleukin-6(IL-6), tumor necrosis factoralpha(TNF-α), and interferon gamma(INF-γ). IL-6 antagonism has been shown to reduce inflammation, reduce skeletal muscle loss, and ameliorate cachexia. The present research deals with economic analysis of natural gas trading between Russia and China through pipeline “Power of Siberia”.To date,the world gas market is developing as a fairly rapid *** is the third country in terms of consumption of natural and liquefied *** aim of this research is an economic analysis of natural gas trading between Russia and China through “Power of Siberia” and develop practical suggestions for pipeline efficiency and setting the natural gas price,at the positive NPV and also taking into consideration theoretical background,so that the gap between theory and practice in this issue can be narrowed *** research were taken next methodology: benefit-cost analysis,as well as,an analysis of the sensitivity of various factors to NPV changes,comparative analysis of CAPEX and OPEX liquefied gas from Australia,Qatar,Russia with pipeline ”Power of Siberia” for the purpose of project expediency for China as a gas consumer in large *** the gas price contract is uncertainty this research will be relevant and useful to understand and answer on questions,such as: Is natural gas pipeline “Power of Siberia” cheaper,then to consume LNG from other countries?The results based on the benefit-cost analysis demonstrates that the natural gas price should be more,then $7,11 per MMBTU for pipeline ”Power of Siberia”,because with this condition the NPV project will be positive and in general the “Power of Siberia” is more profitable project,then LNG projects from Australia,Qatar and Russia,due to the pipeline has less,then 8000 km of distance the construction and operation costs for pipeline will be lower,then for LNG ***,the suggestions are to adhere natural gas price at which NPV will be positive,to create special department who will monitor gas market and global risks those can be really influence on the efficiency and work project.

The determination of white dwarf parameters in dwarf novae by optical spectral modeling

This paper presents the results of a model analysis of optical spectra and determination of the parameters of three individual SU UMa and WZ Sge type dwarf *** moderate resolution spectra of TY Psc,FL Psc and V455 And were obtained at the 6-m BTA of the SAO RAS in the low state of these systems with the determination of white dwarf *** theoretical spectra were calculated using the grid models of hydrogen dwarf atmospheres of white dwarfs by varying the parameters(T_(eff) and log g) to reach the best agreement with the observed *** highlight different effects of the parameters on the shape and intensity of the HI ***,it is possible to unambiguously determine T_(eff) and log g from the analysis of *** fundamental parameters of white dwarfs(M and R) were found by comparing the parameters of atmospheres with theoretical models of the internal *** obtained parameters of the primaries of TY Psc,FL Psc and V455 And are consistent with the average values for SU UMa and WZ Sge *** a result,we demonstrate the efficiency of the method for determining the parameters of such systems based on the analysis of a limited set of observed optical spectra.

Androgen-dependent male sexual traits （STs） as well as immunocompetence are theoreticallyassumed to be key indicators of a male＇s quality for the mate-choosing female. We studied matechoice by sexually motivated （SM） females of Campbell＇s dwarf hamsters. Females chose between2 tethered male siblings that differed in expression of STs. Males were unrelated to the female andable to contact and copulate with her. In both males, we measured sex-related morphology ofbody mass, mid-ventral specific skin gland, ano-genital distance, and external testicular *** also estimated levels of blood testosterone and cortisol, specific T- and B-cell immune re-sponses to antigens, as well as aggressive and sexual dominance in sibling males through add-itional encounter experiments with another SM female （male sibs could freely compete for thefemale）. We found that SM females chose a partner among 2 male sibs and spent over 80% of theirtime on average with the preferred male compared with the non-preferred one. Her choice was notassociated with the first visit of the chosen male, with a higher expression of sex-related traits,higher levels of blood testosterone, or with aggressive dominance. The choice was not associatedwith the intensity of T-cell immune response to phitohemagglutinin （PHA）. Instead there was a ten-dency for a negative relationship with the expression of STs and B-cell response to the antigenchallenge. The only character that unambiguously influenced female choice was the non-aggressive male to female grooming during sexual contact. There was no difference in breedingsuccess between preferred and non-preferred males paired with virgin females.

Synthesis of spherical Y_(2)O_(3):Er emitting particles with variable radial composition by controlled double-jet precipitation of layered precursors

Spherical(Y_(0.98)Er_(0.02))_(2)(OH)_(5)(NO_(3))·xH_(2)O particles were synthesized by controlled double-jet precipitation,with a“core”of pure layered yttrium hydroxide nitrate,and a“shell”of co-precipitated yttrium-erbium layered hydroxide *** an increase in precipitation pH from 7 to 9.5,the size of layered“building units”decreases and the architecture of their assemblies changes from flower-like through network-like spherical to irregular *** there,spherical particles gradually increase their diameter due to the continuous uniform growth of curved layered sheets on their *** was established that such growth behavior and network-like architecture of spherical particles was retained even when yttrium was replaced by erbium ions in the layered host lattice during the formation of an Er-enriched“shell”.Analysis of SEM,EDS,XPS,photoluminescence spectra and concentration quenching effects of heat-treated Y_(2)O_(3):Er(2 at.%)particles indicate that the radial distribution of erbium in particles is most controllable in a narrow pH range of co-precipitation of layered precursors(pH8).Вy widely varying the elemental composition of“building units”during co-precipitation,one can simultaneously finely control the composition of layered hydroxides in the radial direction of the spherical particles and grow multicomponent“multi-shell”powders with desired properties.
