The cactus is a plant that grows in many rural areas,widely used as a hedge,and has multiple benefits through the manufacture of various cosmetics and other ***,this crop has been suffering for some time from the attack of the carmine scaleDactylopius opuntia(Hemiptera:Dactylopiidae).The infestation can spread rapidly if not treated in the early *** solutions consist of regular field checks by the naked eyes carried out by *** major difficulty is the lack of experts to check all fields,especially in remote *** addition,this requires time and *** the need for a system that can categorize the health level of cacti *** date,deep learning models used to categorize plant diseases from images have not addressed the mealy bug infestation of cacti because computer vision has not sufficiently addressed this *** there is no public dataset and smartphones are commonly used as tools to take pictures,it might then be conceivable for farmers to use them to categorize the infection level of their *** this work,we developed a system called CactiVIT that instantly determines the health status of cacti using the Visual image Transformer(ViT)*** also provided a new image dataset of cochineal infested cacti.1 Finally,we developed a mobile application that delivers the classification results directly to farmers about the infestation in their fields by showing the probabilities related to each *** study compares the existing models on the new dataset and presents the results *** VIT-B-16 model reveals an approved performance in the literature and in our experiments,in which it achieved 88.73%overall accuracy with an average of+2.61%compared to other convolutional neural network(CNN)models that we evaluated under similar conditions.

Agricultural projects in different parts of the world depend on underground water ***,there have been many unfortunate incidents inwhich children have died in abandoned *** topographical information for these wells is a prerequisite to protecting people from the dangers of falling into them,especially since most of these wells become buried over *** solutions have been developed recently,most with the aimof exploring these well ***,these systems suffer fromseveral limitations,including high complexity,large size,or *** paper focuses on the development of a smart exploration unit that is able to investigate underground well areas,build a 3D map,search for persons and animals,and determine the levels of oxygen and other *** exploration unit has been implemented and validated through several experiments using various experiment *** results proved the efficiency of the developed exploration unit,in terms of 3D modeling,searching,communication,and measuring the level of *** average accuracy of the 3D modeling function is approximately 95.5%.A benchmark has been presented for comparing our results with related works,and the comparison has proven the contributions and novelty of the proposed system’s results.

Image encryption has attracted much interest as a robust security solution for preventing unauthorized access to critical image *** picture encryption is a crucial step in many cloud-based and healthcare *** this study,a strong cryptosystem based on a 2D chaotic map and Jigsaw transformation is presented for the encryption of medical photos in private Internet of Medical Things(IoMT)and cloud storage.A disorganized three-dimensional map is the foundation of the proposed *** dispersion of pixel values and the permutation of their places in this map are accomplished using a nonlinear encoding *** suggested cryptosystem enhances the security of the delivered medical images by performing many *** validate the efficiency of the recommended cryptosystem,various medical image kinds are used,each with its unique *** measures are used to evaluate the proposed cryptosystem,which all support its robust *** simulation results confirm the supplied cryptosystem’s ***,it provides strong robustness and suggested protection standards for cloud service applications,healthcare,and *** is seen that the proposed 3D chaotic cryptosystem obtains an average entropy of 7.9998,which is near its most excellent value of 8,and a typical NPCR value of 99.62%,which is also near its extreme value of 99.60%.Moreover,the recommended cryptosystem outperforms conventional security systems across the test assessment criteria.

Pulmonary Edema and Pleural Effusion Detection Using Efficient Net-V1-B4 Architecture and AdamW Optimizer from Chest X-Rays Images

This paper presents a novelmulticlass systemdesigned to detect pleural effusion and pulmonary edema on chest Xray images,addressing the critical need for early detection in healthcare.A new comprehensive dataset was formed by combining 28,309 samples from the ChestX-ray14,PadChest,and CheXpert databases,with 10,287,6022,and 12,000 samples representing Pleural Effusion,Pulmonary Edema,and Normal cases,***,the preprocessing step involves applying the Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization(CLAHE)method to boost the local contrast of the X-ray samples,then resizing the images to 380×380 dimensions,followed by using the data augmentation *** classification task employs a deep learning model based on the EfficientNet-V1-B4 architecture and is trained using the AdamW *** proposed multiclass system achieved an accuracy(ACC)of 98.3%,recall of 98.3%,precision of 98.7%,and F1-score of 98.7%.Moreover,the robustness of the model was revealed by the Receiver Operating Characteristic(ROC)analysis,which demonstrated an Area Under the Curve(AUC)of 1.00 for edema and normal cases and 0.99 for *** experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposedmulti-class system,which has the potential to assist clinicians in timely and accurate diagnosis,leading to improved patient ***,ablation-CAM visualization at the last convolutional layer portrayed further enhanced diagnostic capabilities with heat maps on X-ray images,which will aid clinicians in interpreting and localizing abnormalities more effectively.

Ru and Pd (2 wt%) loaded on pure and on Ndoped carbon nanotubes (NCNTs) were prepared and tested using the isopropyl alcohol decomposition reaction as probe reaction. The presence of nitrogen functionalities (pyridinic, pyrrolic, and quaternary nitrogen) on the nitrogen doped support induced a higher metal dispersion: Pd/NCNT (1.8 nm) < Pd/CNT (4.9 nm), and Ru/NCNT (2.4 nm) < Ru/CNT (3.0 nm). The catalytic activity of the supports was determined first. Isopropyl alcohol conversion produces acetone on CNTs while on NCNTs it led to both dehydration and dehydrogenation products. At 210 °C and in the presence of air, the isopropyl alcohol conversion was higher on the NCNTs (25%) than on the CNTs (11%). The Pd loaded catalysts were more active and more selective than the Ru ones. At 115 °C, the Pd catalysts were 100% selective towards acetone for a conversion of 100%, whereas the Ru catalysts led to dehydration and dehydrogenation products. The nitrogen doping induced the appearance of redox properties when oxygen is present in the reaction mixture.

Water Shortage in MENA Region: An Interdisciplinary Overview and a Suite of Practical Solutions

The chronic water shortage in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region is a perplexing issue, undoubtedly because various operational sectors, multi-institutions and stakeholders are inextricably interconnected. In the light of climate variability and the unprecedented population growth rate, the per capita water resources and biocapacity will continue plummeting, and the demand-gap will seriously expand. Existing water quantification agreements have been deemed inefficient to solve the problem of naturally diminishing water resources and thus require immediate re-assembling. Most scholarly endeavors, including key international organizations, NGOs, and “Think Tank” policy briefs have limitedly addressed water shortage in contexts of regional politics, mass media, and, importantly, from social psychology perspectives. Therefore, a thorough analysis and interdisciplinary approach is required to find a feasible and suitable framework of solutions and from a multi-perspective podium. A synthesis of cross-sectorial bottlenecks that are crucial to water management is presented, and a suite of practical recommendations are introduced to water authorities and governments. This study argues that in the shadow of the region’s political instability, the clash of ideologies and its repercussions, and issues of national security and sovereignty, regional cooperation on water issues remain prognostications. In this essence, governments of MENA countries are urged to develop measures to substantially increase the water supply through innovative approaches. Such measures include enhancing the capacities of water harvesting, maximizing the storage capacities of the built dams, and deploying groundwater recharge techniques. Furthermore, seawater and brackish water desalination through clean energy technologies is a contemporary solution with socio-economic and multiple benefits. Particle size dependent sinterability and magnetic properties of recycled HDDR Nd-Fe-B powders consolidated with spark plasma sintering

The dependence of the magnetic properties on the particle size of recycled HDDR Nd-Fe-B powders was investigated,with the aim to assess the reprocessing potential of the end-of-life scrap magnets via spark plasma sintering(SPS).The as received recycled HDDR powder has coercivity(Hci)=830 kA/m and particles in the range from 30 to 700 μm(average 220 μm).After burr milling,the average particle size is reduced to 120 μm and subsequently the Hci of fine(milled) powder was 595 kA/*** plasma sintering was exploited to consolidate the nanograined HDDR powders and limit the abnormal grain *** optimal SPS-ing of coarse HDDR powder at 750℃for 1 min produces fully dense magnets with Hci=950±100 kA/m which further increases to 1200 kA/m via thermal treatment at 750℃for 15 *** burr milled fine HDDR powder under similar SPS conditions and after thermal treatment results in Hci=940 kA/*** fine powder is further sieved down from 630 to less than 50 μm mesh size,to evaluate the possible reduction in Hci in relation to the particle *** gain in oxygen content doubles for 200 μm).The XRD analysis for fractionated powder indicates an increase in Nd2O3 phase peaks in the finer(200 μm) to 460 kA/m in the fine sized particles(200 μm) is higher than 930 kA/m and it falls abruptly to just 70 kA/m for the fine sized particles(1000 kA/m only up to 100 μm sized fractions with>90% sintered *** full densification(>99%) is observed only in the coarse *** loss of coercivity and lack of sinterability in the fine sized particles(<100 μm) are attributed to a very high oxygen *** implies that durin

The Evolution of Turkey’s Asia Policy in Historical and Contemporary Perspectives

Turkey’s transition from a Western foreign policy template to a‘multidimensional foreign policy’has brought Asia-Turkey relations once again into ***,the transition is yet to find a strategic convergence by accommodating Asian powers in a way that does not destabilise Turkey’s relations with the *** paper argues that Turkey’s increased attention on Asia,now through its rebranded Asia Anew approach,is to be determined by three factors:first,the changes in ideological fault-lines within Turkey have helped reset its foreign policy;second,the changing global balance of power between the West and the rest in which the role of Russia,China and India has grown globally and regionally;and thirdly,Asia’s internal struggle for global and regional leadership mainly between India and China and bilateral competitions such as the triangle of Pakistan,India and *** paper also argues that Turkey’s assertive politics in Syria,Libya,Qatar,and elsewhere in the Middle East,Mediterranean and the Balkan,and its increasing soft power are also factoring in their Turkish ***’s quest for an upgraded relationship with Asia to strategic levels depends on how Turkey engages,not just bilaterally,but also how it accommodates the Asian perspective of international politics represented by collective visions of SCO,BRICS and other regional groups which are so visibly critical of the West,of which Turkey is a longtime ally.
