Vespertilionidae is the most diverse chiropteran family, and its diversity is concentrated in warmregions of the World; however, due to physiological and behavioral adaptations, these bats alsodominate bat faunas in temperate regions. Here we performed a comparative study of vespertili-onid assemblages from two broad regions of the New World, the cold and harsh Patagonia, versusthe remaining temperate-to-subtropical, extra-Patagonian eco-regions of the South AmericanSouthern Cone. We took an ecomorphological approach and analyzed the craniodental morpho-logical structure of these assemblages within a phylogenetic framework. We measured 17 cranio-dental linear variables from 447 specimens of 22 currently recognized vespertilionid species of thestudy regions. We performed a multivariate analysis to define the morphofunctional space, andcalculated the pattern and degree of species packing for each assemblage. We assessed the im-portance of phylogeny and biogeography, and their impact on depauperate （Patagonian） versusrich （extra-Patagonian） vespertilionid assemblages as determinants of morphospace *** implemented a sensitivity analysis associated to small samples of rare species. The morpho-logical patterns were determined chiefly by the evolutionary history of the family. The Patagonianassemblage can be described as a structurally similar but comparatively depauperate ecomorpho-logical version of those assemblages from neighboring extra-Patagonian eco-regions. ThePatagonian assemblage seems to have formed by successively adding populations from Northernregions that eventually speciated in the region, leaving corresponding sisters （vicariants） in extra-Patagonian eco-regions that continued to be characteristically richer. Despite being structurallyakin, degree of species packing in Patagonia was comparatively very low, which may reflect the ef-fect of limited dispersal success into a harsh region for bat survival.

The suppressive effects of ketamine on intracellular calcium has been reported in a variety of cells although the mechanisms involved are not well *** aim of this work was to evaluate the ketamine effect on the mitochondrial Ca^(2+)accumulation and the cellular Ca^(2+)mobilization using FLUO4-AM and flow *** results showed that mitochondria from ketamine injected animals presented a lower ability to retain calcium at concentrations higher than 20μM,as compared with controls(saline injected animals).In ad-dition,ketamine showed a significant decreased KCl-induced intracellular calcium *** increased calcium influx through cellular *** to the data presented herein,ketamine presents a clear inhibitory effect on cytosolic Ca2+transport mechanisms,independently from their action on the calcium channel associated NMDA receptor.

Workers'task specialization and division of labor are critical features of social insects'ecological *** has been proposed that the division of labor relies on response threshold models:individuals varying their sensitivity(and responsiveness)to biologically relevant stimuli and performing a specific task when a stimulus exceeds an internal *** this work,we study carbohydrate and protein responsiveness and their relation to worker task specialization in Vespula germanica,an invasive social *** sucrose and peptone responsiveness of two different subcastes,preforagers and foragers,was determined by stimulating the antenna of the wasps with increasing concentrations of the solution and quantifying whether each concentration elicited a licking *** studied responsiveness in five different ways:(1)response threshold,(2)concentration 50(concentration to which at least 50%of wasps responded),(3)maximum response,(4)mean scores and(5)median *** results suggest that V germanica foragers are more sensitive to sucrose(lower thresholds)than preforager ***,we found no differences for peptone thresholds(i.e.,a protein resource).Nonetheless,this is the first study to investigate response thresholds for protein *** intercaste variation in sucrose responsiveness shown in our work contributes to the existing knowledge about response threshold theory as a mechanism for task specialization observed in V germanica.

The characterization of digestive enzymes presents in fish and their potential biotechnological uses is a well-developed and studied ***,there has not been a systematic review that analyzes the state of knowledge of these enzymes at a global ***,a systematic literature search on three platforms was carried out to review and analyze existing knowledge about digestive enzymes of marine fishes from fisheries and aquaculture and their potential application in industrial *** the PRISMA method for selecting journal manuscripts,we found 112 scientific articles published between 1984 and 2020 studying different digestive enzymes from 87 fish *** studies were carried out in Tunisia and Mexico and only 6 articles were published in South American *** most studied digestive enzymes were alkaline proteases,mainly trypsin,and the proposed uses for these enzymes were mainly as additives in commercial *** is a vacancy in the characterization of other digestive enzymes as pepsins,lipases and amylases and the study of species that are distributed in the Southwest Atlantic *** is necessary to expand the knowledge about other digestive enzymes and to carry out new studies in regions with an important fishery development.

Mathematical modeling in drug release systems is fundamental in development and optimization of these systems, since it allows to predict drug release rates and to elucidate the physical transport mechanisms involved. In this paper we validate a novel mathematical model that describes progesterone(Prg) controlled release from poly-3-hydroxybutyric acid(PHB) membranes. A statistical analysis was conducted to compare the fitting of our model with six different models and the Akaike information criterion(AIC) was used to find the equation with best-fit. A simple relation between mass and drug released rate was found,which allows predicting the effect of Prg loads on the release behavior. Our proposed model was the one with minimum AIC value, and therefore it was the one that statistically fitted better the experimental data obtained for all the Prg loads tested. Furthermore, the initial release rate was calculated and therefore, the interface mass transfer coefficient estimated and the equilibrium distribution constant of Prg between the PHB and the release medium was also determined. The results lead us to conclude that our proposed model is the one which best fits the experimental data and can be successfully used to describe Prg drug release in PHB membranes.

Decisions made by foraging animals conform a complex process based on the integration of information from multiple external environmental stimuli and internal physiological signals,which in turn are modulated by individual experience and a detection threshold of each *** social insects in which foraging is limited to given age subcastes,individual foraging decisions may also be affected by ontogenetic shifts and colony *** studied the short-term changes in foraging preferences of the generalist wasp Vespula germanica,focusing on whether the individual response to different resources could be influenced by the ontogenetic shifts and/or by social interaction with *** carried both laboratory and field experiments to confront worker wasps to a short-term resource switch between either protein or carbohydrate-based *** tested the response of(1)Preforager workers(no foraging experience nor interaction with other wasps),(2)Forager workers(experience in foraging and no colony feedback),and(3)Wild forager workers(foraging naturally and exposed to free interactions with nestmates).We evaluated the maxilla-labium extension response(MaLER)for laboratory assays or the landing response for field *** observed that for wasps deprived of colony feedback(either preforagers or foragers),the protein-rich foods acceptance threshold increased(and thus a lower level of foraging on that item was observed)if they had foraged on carbohydrates previously,whereas carbohydrates were accepted in all ***,wasps immersed in a natural foraging context did accept protein foods regardless of their first foraging experience and reduced the carbohydrates collected when trained on protein *** provide evidence that short-term changes in foraging preferences depend on the type of resource foraged and on the social interactions,but not on ontogenetic shifts.

国际中文职前教师与在职教师的国际理解素养比较研究

汉语国际教育的专业发展应当与时代发展特征相呼应,国际中文教师除了具备基本的知识能力、语言能力及汉语教学能力外,还要重视培养个人的国际理解素养,做一名拥有国际理解素养的当代中文教师。国际理解素养,指个人所拥有的开放意识、世界公民意识、对本国在国际关系中作用的认可意识以及国际理解的能力意识四个维度。目前国际中文教学领域内对教师国际理解素养的研究正处于起步阶段,因此本研究选择国际中文职前与在职教师作为研究对象,通过分析比较两类中文教师在国际理解素养方面的认知差异,深化国际理解的相关研究内容。本文主要使用调查法与访谈法,对国际中文职前与在职教师的国际理解素养进行认知调研,主要采用描述性统计分析、T检验、方差分析与相关分析等统计方法对量表进行计算。研究发现:国际中文职前与在职教师普遍都具有一定的国际理解素养,对国际理解观念有一定认知,但是在职中文教师体现出更高的国际理解素养,且二者在国际理解维度下的开放意识上存在着显著性差异。针对两类中文教师国际理解的培养,在职中文教师需要加强有关国际理解的专业发展,如学习理论知识,建设多元合作平台以共享教学理念;职前中文教师需要完善相关课程体系,培养跨文化交流与实际运用能力,注重教学实践与反思,参与教师专业发展项目以提升自我的国际视野与教学能力。

Circulating monocytes （Mos） may continuously repopulate macrophage （MAC） or dendritic cell （DC） populations to maintain homeostasis. MACs and DCs are specialized cells that play different and complementary immunological functions. Accordingly, they present distinct migratory properties. Specifically, whereas MACs largely remain in tissues, DCs are capable of migrating from peripheral tissues to lymphoid organs. The aim of this work was to analyze the expression of the fractalkine receptor （CX3CR1） during the monocytic differentiation process. Freshly isolated Mos express high levels of both CX3CR1 mRNA and protein. During the Mo differentiation process, CX3CR1 is downregulated in both DCs and MACs. However, MACs showed significantly higher CX3CR1 expression levels than did DC. We also observed an antagonistic CX3CR1 regulation by interferon （IFN）-γ and interleukin （IL）-4 during MAC activation through the classical and alternative MAC pathways, respectively. IFN-γinhibited the loss of CX3CR1, but IL-4 induced it. Additionally, we demonstrated an association between CX3CR1 expression and apoptosis prevention by soluble fractalkine （sCX3CL1） in Mos, DCs and MACs. This is the first report demonstrating sequential and differential CX3CR1 modulation during Mo differentiation. Most importantly, we demonstrated a functional link between CX3CR1 expression and cell survival in the presence of sCX3CL1.
