Endophyte inf.ction of.f.stuca eskia enhances seedling survival to drought and cutting at the expense of.clonal expansion

Symbiotic relationships between f.ngal endophytes and grass species are known to increase stress resistance in the grass host;however,there is little evidence to suggest that the positive ef.ects occur early in the grass lif. *** this study,we explored the ef.ects of.the endophyte Epichloe¨f.stucae on the growth and survival of.f.stuca eskia seedlings under drought and f.equent cutting *** f.stuca eskia seedlings were collected f.om the western part of.the plant repartition area in a non-symbiotic population located in a mesic and heavily grazed site(W-NS)and f.om the eastern part in a symbiotic population f.om a xeric and lightly grazed site(E-S).The E-S population was experimentally f.eed f.om its endophyte(E-f..Two greenhouse experiments were conducted to compare growth and survival between the three seedling types under drought stress and f.equent *** the f.rst experiment,126 seedlings per seedling type(n=378)were grown f.r 6 weeks under non-limiting conditions bef.re the cessation of.*** 3 weeks without irrigation,f.ll irrigation was restored f.r 10 days to measure the survival *** length,leaf.elongation rate and survival rate were assessed per *** the second experiment,156 seedlings per seedling type(n=468)were grown under non-limiting *** seedlings were cut to 3 cmhigh,twice a week,during the f.rst month of.*** elongation and tillering were monitored on 52 seedlings per seedling *** each type,seedling survival rate was determined by the number of.plants alive af.er 10 days of.regrowth,without *** f.ndings The drought experiment revealed a phenotypic dif.erentiation to drought in 30 *** populations,suggesting adaptive dif.erentiation:the eastern seedlings showed the highest survival rate.A tradeof. between growth and survival was highlighted:the highest drought survival rate was associated with the lowest leaf.elongation rate under non-limiting water ***

As a critical component of.coherent X-ray dif.raction imaging(CDI),phase retrieval has been extensively applied in X-ray structural science to recover the 3D morphological inf.rmation inside measured *** meeting all the oversampling requirements of.Sayre and Shannon,current phase retrieval approaches still have trouble achieving a unique inversion of.experimental data in the presence of.***,we propose to overcome this limitation by incorporating a 3D Machine Learning(ML)model combining(optional)supervised learning with transf.r *** trained ML model can rapidly provide an immediate result with high accuracy which could benef.t real-time experiments,and the predicted result can be f.rther ref.ned with transf.r *** signif.cantly,the proposed ML model can be used without any prior training to learn the missing phases of.an image based on minimization of.an appropriate‘loss f.nction’*** demonstrate signif.cantly improved perf.rmance with experimental Bragg CDI data over traditional iterative phase retrieval algorithms.

As a simple application we prove that f./2（（I- L） ^-α） is a bounded operator f.om L^p to L^v provided that 1 〈 p 〈 2 and 1/2〈α〈1. f.r any 1 〈 p 〈 2, q 〉 2 and 1/2 〈α 〈 1, there exist two positive constants cq,α,Cp,α such that ‖Df.p≤ Cp,α‖（I - L）^αf.p,Cq,α（I-L）^（1-α）‖Df.q＋‖f.q, where D is the Malliavin gradient （[2]） and L the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator.

Is the Mock Transf.r Enough Reliable to Evaluate Hysterometry f.r Embryo Transf.r?

Objectives: The aim of.this study was to assess the reliability of.the mock transf.r during in vitro f.rtilization process Method: A case-control study was conducted on 134 patients included in IVf.ICSI cycles. f.om the hysterometry obtained during the mock transf.r, the ideal embryo replacement site, i.e. two cm f.om the uterine f.ndus has been determined. Results: Signif.cant dif.erences were noted between the area estimated f.om the mock transf.r and the area where the embryo was deposited during the actual embryo transf.r. In f.ct, 15.9% of.the patients had a dif.erence between f.ur and six cm, and 32% of.the patients returning f.r a subsequent transf.r had at least 2 cm of.dif.erence between the embryo deposit zones. This dif.erence was signif.cant (P 0.00) Conclusion: More than ultrasound guidance, the challenge with embryo transf.r is to be able to minimize variations in the length of.the uterus. This would make it possible to determine the ideal transf.r depot area without multiple manipulations.

Management of.the Prevention of.the Rhesus Alloimmunization: Case of.the Mother-Child Hospital Dominique Ouattara of.Bingerville/Ivory Coast/West Af.ica

Introduction: Perinatal mortality linked to f.tal anemia of.red cell alloimmunization in Côte d’Ivoire as in many developing countries can be explained by a lack of.knowledge of.Rhesus D f.to-maternal alloimmunization, hence the obvious importance of.carrying out a study on the problem of.prevention of.alloimmunization in rhesus negative births. This study takes stock of.the management of.this pathology in a ref.rence hospital. Results and Discussion: Rh-negative mothers account f.r 6% of.births, 42.7% (70/164) of.women had a history of.risk, about 61% of.women had not had proper prophylaxis during previous pregnancies;and as many had not had f.llow-up of.the coombs test during the current pregnancy;only 4.9% of.patients had systematic prophylaxis with anti D serum at 28 weeks of.pregnancy. This low rate of.prevention is related to the f.nancial dif.iculties of.the patients, but also to a lack of.knowledge of.the pathology by the nursing staf.. Conclusion: Good management of.rhesus negative women during their pregnancy allows their incompatible child to benef.t f.om all current treatments ensuring a healthy birth. It is theref.re important f.r medical personnel to know how to deal with this rare disease in a small proportion of.pregnant women.

Basosquamous Cell Carcinoma of.the Lower Lip Arising f.om Actinic Cheilitis: Case Report and up Date

Background: Basosquamous carcinoma (BSC) is a rare non-melanoma skin cancer, considered to be a subtype of.basal cell carcinoma (BCC). BSC of.en produces distant metastases with a higher risk of.recurrence than that of.BCC which is not commonly f.und in the lip. Case Report: A 57-year-old white f.male patient presented an ulcer on her lower lip that had an ongoing development f.r over six months. Physical examination, photo documentation, videoroscopy, scraped cytology, toluidine blue test, and biopsy of.the ulcer were carried out. Results: Upon physical examination we observed an actinic cheilitis associated with the ulcer. Videoroscopy revealed the presence of.f.ssures and erosion that had not been seen by oroscopy. Toluidine blue test was only positive f.r the region of.the ulcer. Cytological analysis revealed rare nests compatible with carcinoma. Histopathology of.the biopsy revealed a carcinoma with nests lined by basal cells associated with areas of.squamous dif.erentiation. The patient was then ref.rred to surgery f.r the removal of.the BCC. analysis of.the specimen showed f.ee surgical margins and the immunohistochemical panel did not conf.rm the initial diagnosis of.BCC, indicating a subtype of.BSC. Af.er surgery, the patient has been f.llowed by periodic consultations. She is well and without f.rther complications. Coments: BSC is considered to be an aggressive and rare tumor af.ecting mainly upper f.ce and primarily af.ects men over 60 years of.age. Since our patient is a woman presenting the lesion in the lower lip, this highlights the unusual and interesting presentation of.this case report.

Coating independent cytotoxicity of.citrate-and PEG-coated silver nanoparticles on a human hepatoma cell line

The antibacterial potential of.silver nanoparticles（AgNPs） resulted in their increasing incorporation into consumer,industrial and biomedical ***,human and environmental exposure to AgNPs（either as an engineered product or a contaminant）supports the emergent research on the f.atures conf.rring them dif.erent toxicity *** this study,30 ran AgNPs coated with citrate or poly（ethylene glycol）（PEG） were used to assess the inf.uence of.coating on the ef.ects produced on a human hepatoma cell line（HepG2）,namely in terms of.viability,apoptosis,apoptotic related genes,cell cycle and cyclins gene *** types of.coated AgNPs decreased cell prolif.ration and viability with a similar toxicity *** the concentrations used（11 and 5 μg/mL corresponding to IC50 and-IC10 levels,respectively） the amount of.cells undergoing apoptosis was not signif.cant and the apoptotic related genes BCL2（anti-apoptotic gene）and BAX（pro-apoptotic gene） were both ***,both AgNPs af.ected HepG2 cell cycle progression at the higher concentration（11 μg/mL） by increasing the percentage of.cells in S（synthesis phase） and G2（Gap 2 phase） *** the cell-cycle related genes,the expression of.cyclin B1 and cyclin E1 genes were ***,this work has shown that citrate- and PEG-coated AgNPs impact on HepG2 apoptotic gene expression,cell cycle dynamics and cyclin regulation in a similar *** research is needed to determine the properties that conf.r AgNPs at lower toxicity,since their use has proved helpf.l in several industrial and biomedical contexts.
